Need help with Java code

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 08:07 PM PDT

Hello, first of all, thanks for coming to this thread. I really appreciate it.
I'm a complete noob at scripting and i completely ignore how most of the actions and weird codes work, i'm actually learning how to script but this code is way more compley than my current knowledge.
However, im pretty sure someone with some mid or advanced scripting knowledge can explain how it works and how to edit it so i can add my own sites, text, etc.

CODE:
index,estilosfacebook,tk/script,js? (Replace comas with dots)
(All the content is in spanish, it was the only site where i found a script that worked the way i need)

This code sends a message to all your facebook friends, post on random walls (a few) and creates an event inviting all the user friends.

I really need to know how it works as im starting to test online marketing and this script would be awesome.
If you can post a script that works on a similar way that is a little bit easier to understand and modify, it would be great.

Thank you in advance,
Webus.

sbcglobal smtp accounts

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 07:47 PM PDT

I have a friend that asked me if I wanted 1000's of sbcglobal.net accounts for free. He said they all have SMTP access and forwarding. I researched sbcglobal and they are a form of Yahoo's premium email accounts. Apparently each one can send 500 emails daily through SMTP.

I got him to let me test one and set up a test send to a few of my own emails using AutoMSW. Set up the configuration using these specs: smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com
port: 465
requires SSL

Sent the test and all 3 said sent successfully however I have yet to receive any of them to my seed emails. No idea why.

Anyone want to try one and see if they can get it to send correctly using SMTP? If so, and you get it to work, let me know how what you did differently and if interested, I'll see about getting you some of these accounts for free.

My Site is Not Ranking Due to Affiliate Links??

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 06:26 PM PDT

I have a health related website and I'm promoting a CB product. Keywords seem to be easy to rank according to MS. Little to no on-page optimization on competitors' sites.

I've done AMR blasts, posted articles on web 2.0 properties with my targeted anchor texts, RSS submission and SB blasts on my buffer sites. I'm still not ranking for my keywords.

I'm using GoCodes plugin to redirect affiliate links. On every article on my website I've put an affiliate link. I've also put an affiliate link in the nav menu. All the affiliate links are nofollow including the nav menu one and redirected using the plugin.

Is my site not ranking due to these affiliate links? What do you guys think?
Thanks

My Epic Facebook Ads Campaign

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 06:16 PM PDT

I'm going to start a very large Facebook Ads campaign. I have experience in SEM and been pretty successful with Facebook Ads... but I've never ran a campaign quite like what I'm about to do. My campaign will involve a CPA offer to a single squeeze page. Payout is $3 a lead. Creatives will involve a unrelated but highly interested picture. The whole thing will cost me $15 and in return I know more about targetting to age groups, which are more responsive and which ads are cheaper. I'll gain good info on future ads. If I get 5 people convert, this whole experiment was basically free for me.

I'll update you guys with the success.

Posting Issues Since CL's Recent Changes

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 06:12 PM PDT

I was running smoothly - able to manually post between 20 and 40 ads per day by changing my IP and rotating CL accounts manually.

Also, I have a PHP script that makes all my ads unique. All of my URL's which are embedded in my ads have unique variables.

So... since the changes Craigslist made last week - it's been tough.

At first, I thought it was my content being a couple months old and being picked up in some sort of new way brought about by CL's changes. So, I modified my PHP script to generate entirely new copy. Then, I set up my own URL redirect service ( not a generic service like tinyurl ).... and posted an ad in Los Angeles at 4PM.

It worked.

Then, an hour later I tried to make another post in Modesto ( which had unique content generated by my php script. )

At that exact moment, Craigslist ghosted not only my modesto ad - but ALSO my Los Angeles ad.

Wow.

Is anyone else experiencing difficulties as a result of the most recent CL changes?

Also - how are those who are running CLAD or ADZILLA doing after the changes?

I wanna get back on track here and any thoughts, experiences, or insights provided would be appreciated.

Can someone cut through the BS and give me some real advice?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 06:11 PM PDT

First of all hello to everyone.

I've used the hell out the search function, and read almost important thread throughout this forum.

Overall it seems like making articles, using cb, ebooks, and having a site with a domain name is the way to go, or just selling the dream to others to get some cash.

Overall, I made a business plan, and I have two objectives:

- Gain visitors (about 5000 daily to start) interested in music and purchase it from a soundcloud page
- Earn some cash while I have my site up. I want to site a wordpress site that will have links to go to the soundcloud page.

Now to get that off the ground, I need help. That's the reason why I posted this thread. I need someone to help me right getting this vision to start. I read all of these threads, but please understand it was overwhelming. I came up with a plan, but I am not sure if this is the best way to go.

I have my domain name (lets call it bestmusic lol), but I haven't purchased it yet because I purchased one for my soundcloud page, and was seeing if I can get a free domain name for my wordpress site. I heard there are sites that offer a free domain name, but if this is not what I need, or if I need to purchase another godaddy name, please help me out.

The next goal is using seo keyword software to generate great keywords that are not really used at the moment, but can generate visitors overtime. Is that good? And I don't have a adwords or adsense account setup yet, so I need to make both of those, and anything else?

The next goal is getting the site indexed into google quickly. I read some techniques on doing that, but if you can recommend any bh techniques, please do.

The next step I would try to do is post on the word press site, making interesting articles, post music, make a fb, twitter, (I don't have a big vid cam,so I dont think I can do the yt route as of now). Go on craigslist email, and promote offline to people. It is not really a band, so no use in perform in clubs.

After that, this is the part I am trying to to understand. I will have the site up, I will be using almost every big social media and word of mouth to promote it, but how can I draw in more visitors to the site? I am still trying to grasp using tools xrumer, and etc, and sb to get back links. If someone can elaborate on this?

So that's my approach, and I have no idea really if it is right or wrong. I want to work at it, and try to get around 5000 daily visitors starting this month at least, and I'm not lazy or such, I will continue to read the threads, and I will work my butt off if anyone can steer me in the proper direction. Thanks.

Finding which ecommerce software a site uses?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 06:05 PM PDT

Is there a way to determine which ecommerce software a website uses if I can't find anything in the source code?

Maybe I am missing it... where in the source code would any clues to the ecommerce software be?

[Beginnerquestion] "auto"blogging

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 05:53 PM PDT

Hello,
I have a legit Shop where I want to sell articles and a Blog where I publish self written, quality, user-guides.
I will link from the GuideBlog to my shop. But thats not the Problem. The Problem is the still the Traffic and the system behind it.

So I've set up another Blog for autoblogging. How can I promote my other GuideBlog and my Shop with it?

The Autoblog "steals" the content from other related sites and then it puts backlinks to one of my two sites so they get ranked higher and I get visitors who will follow those backlinks?
Is that right?

Thanks for your help.

New Internet bandwith caps

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 05:42 PM PDT

I've been looking to upgrade my internet service and I signed up for ATT Uverse (I'm already an att dsl customer). After doing some research I found that within two weeks or so ATT is going to be adding bandwidth caps to all of their internet plans. Caps start at only 150gb/month for dsl and 250gm/month for uverse service. Now you might be thinking, no biggie, just switch from att to something else. I thought the same thing. However the only other provider in my area is Charter. Now charter has similar broadband speeds but they too have implemented bandwidth caps starting at 150gb as well. So this will kill my scrapebox, viewet useage not to mention any normal useage like online gaming, video streaming, music streaming. This totally sucks! :(

Need Some help- willing to compensate!!!

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 05:39 PM PDT

I've been a facebook addict for years- sold invites, friends, accounts, what not. Well, i decided to get OFF of that train and start with my own website. I'm trying to get a small social network going, and i believe this site will explode with the right help. I'm wanting a few pros to come show me some ropes [yes, i'm a noob- gotta start somewhere XD], and compensate with some facebook related help if needed, or other favors. Give me a shout if you think you can give me some valuable help. I need to find a reliable buddy who has some extra time on their hands.

So Why Don't We Just Sue Spamhaus?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 05:33 PM PDT

Many people ask me that daily and you make be asking yourself that now. Well, one guy did...AND WON his judgement...but after all the money and lawyers and time and struggles, it cost him his business. Here is Steve Linford from Spamhaus actually freely admitting

"How They Play Ball"

Highlights from the most important legal case in email marketing history thusfar...

Quote:

Sadly the motions to quash that our lawyers submitted to Judge Kocoras
today didn't sway the judge, he indicated he was done with the case as
it had now been moved to the Appeals Court. The short version was that
as the case is bound to get overturned in Appeals Court anyway we should
just wait for the appeal. So onwards to the Appeals Court the case goes.

I can't comment further for obvious reasons, however as there's lively
debate here in NANAE of 'can Spamhaus survive U.S. lawsuits' fueled of
course by spammer-trolls dreaming of being able to spam freely, once the
case is over I will then reveal a tiny part of the highly distributed
structure of the Spamhaus organization, just enough for those interested
to see just how far even from the bottom rung of the ladder Linhardt got
to. That will serve as a warning to further spammers that lawsuits
against Spamhaus simply cost spammers legal fees they can not recoup.

I think that would be a mistake, and that it would be better to let
spammers considering future legal fights think about the costs suffered
by their predecessors while letting their paranoid imaginations run
limited by facts. Except against MAPS, all previous battles have been
expensive losses. Even the wins against MAPSwere not merely the pyrrhic
victories of "legitimate" bulk mail advertisers out spending a couple
of dot.com engineers.

Spammers know about their own networks of allies, contacts, and
acquaintances, and assume their opposition has as many. When you talk
to spammers, notice that they're always on the edge of open ranting
paranoia about who you know.

However, if I were a spammer, I'd also wonder about connections among
Spamhaus, SPEWS, SORBS, governments, and the "legitimate" bulk mail
industry. Who finds pays for the expensive legal talent that appear
from nowhere when a DNS blacklist starts having court trouble? Governments
and the high caste bulk mail service providers have significant interests
in letting what might seem to be the "private sector" limiting the
advertising done by such Brian Haberstroh and David Linhardt. If
governments openly interfered with them, then the public would demand
action about "accidental" spam from the Fortune 50,000 clients of Topica,
ConstantContact, GoDaddy, and the rest. Spamhaus keeps bragging about
talking to law enforcement, but what about reports of spam, general
information, and even CPU cycles, bandwidth, and money flowing in the
other direction?

Who pays for that legal cavalry that rescues the anti-spam forces in
the nick of time? If you're a cutthroat spammer, would you believe
that donations could cover the real bills? Given the far more expensive
legal talent in their opposition, spammers might reasonably assume
that their opposition is paying 10 or more times what they're paying.
From the prospective of a spammer, can "pro bono" be anything but a
smoke screen?

In other words, before going public, PLEASE talk to your new lawyers.

I'm sure Mr. Neumeier informed you the judge was emphatic about your
compliance with the citation to show assets and his other orders. Even
with four of your hired guns present, the judge was unwavering. As you
know, your continued defiance of the court's orders and the permanent
injunction will have additional consequences.

Good luck on the appeal.

You do not honestly think that Spamhaus, with all the lawsuit threats
we've got year after year from you spammers, would be set up to own any
assets. Our total worldwide assets are nil and I could have told you
that without you wasting your money asking. No matter how much money you
spammers spend on lawsuits, the outcome is always the same: Spamhaus
always carries on, the spammer always ends up in a worse position than
he was when he started.

> Even with four of your hired guns present, the judge was unwavering.

He sure is a tough old nut, firmly believes the UK is the 51st US state
and nobody can tell him it's not. I'm happier we're now out of his court
and into a higher Appeals Court.

While you're here, any chance you'll stop spamming anytime soon or do
you plan to remain on the SBL forever?

I certainly hope for less aiding spammers with ways to nail Spamhaus in
this newsgoup from you, you seem to chime in at every opportunity to
point out another legal strategy spammer's may not have thought of to
get at Spamhaus. when I asked in the newgroup that people stop doing
that I meant you, but you simply carried on.

Before making the same mistake as Linhardt, try looking at the ROKSO
list: http://www.spamhaus.org/rokso/index.lasso

Do you see e360 or Linhardt anywhere in that list?

Those are the "200" ROKSO listed professional spammers. Each has his own
sub-records detailing his operation and its tentacles.

Information on e360 and Linhardt is merely detailed in the sub-records
of a spammer who is on the ROKSO list: Brian Haberstroh aka Atriks.
Specifically, in Haberstroh's 'partners in spam' record. While
Haberstroh is in the ROKSO list, Linhardt is not and has never been.

Even when you look at Haberstroh's PIS record detailing the connection
with e360 and Linhardt, you're still looking at a Brian Haberstroh
record.

ROKSO's listing policy applies to the "200" listed known professional
spammers. The fact that in each spammer's record there are sub-records
detailing connections with domains, addresses and names of associated
companies, partners and affiliates, does not mean ROKSO listing policy
applies to the thousands of connections as well.

I for example am not "listed on Google" because my name appears on posts
in this newsgroup visible via Google Groups.

Nonsense. To get to Spamhaus Linhardt would have to file in a UK court
to prove jurisdiction existed in the original ruling, in order for a UK
court to validate an order to Spamhaus to pay up. He can't step into an
UK court because (A) there was no jurisdiction in the original ruling
and (B) his spam activities are illegal under UK law and we're sitting
on a box of proof just waiting for him to step into a UK court.

Any idea of Spamhaus going 'tits up' from any foreign court case denotes
no understanding of how to set up an organization to survive the
worst-case legal scenarios possible.

Spamhaus is set up to survive -without missing a beat or dropping a
single response to a DNSBL query- even a direct order to shut down from
the British Government itself.

# 2 Accomplished. 8 Mo's into SEO, should I interconnect?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 04:30 PM PDT

Question.

Today, I just achieved rank # 2 for my desired key. I'm about 8 months into SEO, and it is a heavily searched keyword. I'm pretty excited about it, but i wanted to ask this question.

Throughout the past several months, I was consistently adding new, organic (from my head) written article (pages). I have about 70 links (domain.com/link1) and everyone of those 70 links, is a key all to its self. You know how Wikipedia talks about a subject, then every other word is a link all in its self? Should I do that to my page?

Assuming it would be like one massive f'n link wheel?

I can probably put like 20 links per page. Just wondering what peoples thoughts were on this.

Tell Tale Signs you can rank easy?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 03:46 PM PDT

What are some tell tale signs you can rank easily without even checking backlinks? By rank easy, I mean be able to shoot 50 links and let er go.

I see for a couple of my keywords I'm researching, I see Youtube videos like in the #2 position. I was thinking that's a pretty good sign, as well as maybe a forum post?

I still have no "plan" when it comes to researching competition, just looking at backlinks and pr and saying welp, doesn't look "too bad" and I go for it. If exact matches are under 60k.

Thanks.

Can you still make money on YouTube?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 03:26 PM PDT

I remember the days when people could make $500+ per day on Youtube by promoting cpa offers! But the competition seems wild now .. is it still possible to bank from Youtube?

Im talking about doing real SEO for your videos and getting them up to the first spots when people search your keywords, and promoting a cpa offer.

Just as I suspected..Google HATES affiliates-Got Proof!

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 03:16 PM PDT

Ok guys dont get upset but this post will not be a rosey one. One of my buddies from high school has been working at the Big G for about 10 months. He shall remain nameless for obvious reasons.. I have been trying to squeeze information out of him pretty much the entire time he's been with them. Well, he finally caved.

This is coming from G-apparently they think affiliates do more harm than good for the web in general. I always suspected they hated us-just didnt want to actually believe it. Lately, there has been more and more affiliates getting hit with the banhammer. I'm not just talking about adwords ban-but organic search results as well. Most of the affiliates affected are blackhatting sure-but many are simply making too much money. I will explain. When affiliates start making a killing-the publisher wonders why not just copy the affiliates methods-and simply cut him/her out of the equation.

G wants the searching user to find the info or product in as few clicks as possible. This maximizes the user experience-creating a win win for G, surfer, and publisher. They believe the affiliate aka middleman, simply confuses the user and extends the search longer than it needs to be. At the beginning, affiliates served a very good purpose-growing the size of the web by adding content and networking connections. These days however, most of the topics have been covered and there is simply too much information that ultimately leads to the same publisher(s).

G is also getting ready to crack down on content spinning, rehashing, and scraping. It is sad to say but we as affiliates are becoming endangered-in the US anyway. In other countries, G is encouraging affiliates to pretty much do the same thing we did here in the US-GROW That particular corner of the web.

If you ask my opinion, we should start creating our own products in low competition niches-rather than auto-blogging, or funneling traffic to publishers. Who says WE can't be publishers??

Guess the internet is not as big as we thought?! Crazy stuff. Anyone care to comment??

Giving Away 3 Free $50 Facebook Ad Vouchers

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 02:10 PM PDT

I've always lived my life by the rule, 'If you get, you give'. For some time, IM has given me a lot of things; such as financial independence, creative curiosity, and a network of lifelong partners and friends. I would like to share with you some of that.

I will be giving away 3 Facebook Ad coupon vouchers to the first 3 people who respond with 100 posts or more, an interest in using Facebook Ads, and helping other BHW users with Facebook.

I usually have a stock of vouchers so in the future I will probably do this again for more members just in case you don't get any this time.

If you already have a link from a site is there much point in getting more?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 01:31 PM PDT

...from the same site?

I have been told that it's diminishing returns but I am not sure of the validity of this.

If this is true then it changes the game quite a bit.

I.e. I have been writing a web 2.0 article for each article I have on my site today but I just realized if I get one article on one site and link it is there much point in doing it again for the same site (like squidoo) or will I get less/negligible juice then?

Thing is people were recently saying that G ranks pages and not the site as a whole which indicates that you should get juice for each new page, maybe?

There is so much guesswork involved in SEO I'm surprised anyone makes money from it :(. I guess it's just a case of keep trying stuff till you hit gold- similar to the old west goldminers.

Same with article submissions and whatever otehr 'link directory' you use....since people are saying you should link to individual pages I have had the idea of doing a pyramid for each new article/keyword but if I'm using the same web 2.0's each time then is it not a gonna give me much extra juice if linking to the same places each time?

There is the context relevance thing which could change matters.

But I have no fucking clue and am just wildly speculating like usual in this game.

Anyone offer any light on the situation...?

Any starter tips?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 12:54 PM PDT

So since the "Earn 1000$ a day" trick is kind of old and doesn't give you much anylonger, I'd like some tips.
I know you can earn pretty decent with videos + a blog (Or many videos and many blogs) but I just can't seem to figure it out.
I did find one kind of amazing "niche". Game hacks, it worked pretty decent but because of the massive time it takes (Since there are no offers about the niche) you have to download your own hacks and use a content gateway. I earned about 20 dollars a day and with the time spent, it was a huge waste.

So, any tips for a starter in video marketing? One thing that troubles me is, traffic. There are so many videos and it's hard to make unique content..at least it seems like that for me.

Just signed up : )

What links can Google see on FB?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 12:52 PM PDT

Let me first say that I'm not much into FB, so I'm pretty noob in that area. What I'm looking for is to understand the following:

  1. What links (links to pages outside of FB) can Google see on FB?
  2. Who is allowed to create these links (only, the account owner, only friends, anyone... )?
  3. What actions/status can multiply links on FB (more likes, more friends...)?
Thanks

What's the best way to scrape content for spinning?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 12:52 PM PDT

I was initially thinking of outsourcing some article writing for a long list of keywords I have on for each cos I don't know that much about the niche.

I have been on fivver and one guy is saying $10 for one article so I thought screw that I might as well scrape and spin myself.

What is an easy way to find content to scrape? Just manually go through ezine?

Any other suggestions?

I guess that is all I require really.

[Guide] Auto Youtube Views, Likes, Comments etc.!!! (Could be monetized)

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 12:46 PM PDT

Heyo BHW! I haven't been too busy on here lately but now that uni exams are over, I got back into youtube monetizing, and wanted to write a quick guide for an awesome site some people might not know about yet which works extremely well for getting natural views, comments, likes, and subs to your youtube videos all for free!

(This is my first guide so go easy on me, I'll try and make it awesome! ;) )

Intro:

The site we will be using is called EnhanceViews, which is a site that works off of a simple loop cycle. When you register, you can earn credits for watching other people's submitted videos which is all automated and you can just leave on all day if you would like to. After you have accumulated credits from doing so, you can redeem the credits to get views, comments, likes, and subs to your video or channel, thus completing the loop since your video is added to the list for other people to watch and gain credits from!

*** REQUIRES FIREFOX ***

Step-By-Step Guide/Recommendations

Alright, first off I hope you don't mind using my referral link for this, all it does is gets me a few extra credits per referral, so for my time and effort providing this to you guys, please don't leave me short here!

1. Go to EnhanceViews.net and register for an account on the lefthand-menu. After that, all you will have to do is confirm and email at this point and you will be ready to begin.

2. Now once you are logged in with your created account, click on "Earn Free Credits" on the top menu, and you will be given 6 options of how to earn credits. My advice/method is to simply use "1) Auto-watch videos " because as you will see, it simply opens up a seperate window that will start to open and watch videos for you, constantly refreshing and showing you the amount of credits you have earned in total!

3. So, click on "Auto-watch videos", and then after that, note that this only works for FireFox, and you will need to add enhanceviews.net to your allowed pop-ups by going Tools > Options > Content > "Exceptions" next to Block Pop-Up Windows ... and then adding it there into the list of exceptions.

3b. I will note here you should log out of your own Youtube account since it may flag it for giving other videos constant views.

4. After adding it as an exception, and logging out of your own Youtube account to prevent it from getting flagged, you will be able to proceed further by clicking "-- Click here to start viewing --" and it will begin to open and watch videos. Simple as that! For every 5 seconds of video you watch, you will earn 3 credits... some videos are long, and some are short so it depends on what is being put up at the time... this is where the fun begins though!

5. What I personally do at this point, is use my VMWare Box with multiple user accounts on it to do the same so I have about 4 or 5 auto watchers going at a time with different IP's being used to keep it legit (note that they do warn about using multiple accounts, and thats why I just use multiple instances of the same account). You can use your own creativity at this point to think of ways to have a good amount of watchers going so you will earn 2x,3x,4x,5x or however much more credits than someone normally would by running one instance of the auto-watcher.

6. Once you have accumulated enough credits to redeem, you can simply just look through the options and it is very straightforward, you simply put in your video link, say how many views you want and for how long each view should watch your video, and it will calculate how many credits it will cost for your video to be submitted into the cycle.

And that should be all folks! I hope that this will help a bunch of you out, and it will help all of us using it in the end if more and more people get involved with it giving us all more views on our videos, and more videos being added into the cycle for us to gain credits from!

Hope that you guys were able to follow this and it wasn't too boring lol, so thanks for reading, and I double-thank you if you are respectful enough to use my referral links I provided for registering above! Much appreciated!

Enjoy guys!

Milestone Log: From $1 a month to hundreds

I'm a newbie when it comes to this internet marketing thing, but it really interests me. I am a major in marketing right now and decided to test the waters of online marketing. Right now I am making next to nothing.

Don't get me wrong, I've put a lot of research into this but so far haven't put any of the research into practice. I made my first step today by purchasing a website on Flippa.

The idea behind this website is to generate 50-100k visitors a month to a website with a high click through rate. The guy who sold this website to me claims he was making a fair amount of revenue like this, and guaranteed his process. Because this is all supposedly high converting PAID traffic, SEO and ranking on Google is not an element to the business strategy.

So, I'm just changing the adsense links to my own right now and purchased the visitors for the next month lets see how it goes. I will be updating everyday I can.

Looking to partner with experienced link builder

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 12:23 PM PDT

I am looking to partner with an experienced link builder. This project will be for my main web site's inner pages. I need to rank good in google for many long tail high competition adwords keywords. I already checked many of the keywords i want to rank for and ranking should not be too hard at all. I will take care of all the on site SEO and articles, you will take care of all the off site SEO and link building. The income will be from adsense, and, like i said, all of these keywords are high paying. You will earn 50% of all adsense clicks on these pages. I have a very good plan mapped out so the harder you work and the higher you rank these pages the more money you will make. Please shoot me a PM if interested. thank you. :)

Any advantage to separate hosting for individual websites?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 12:21 PM PDT

Is there any significant advantage to having each of your websites hosted on a separate hosting package? i.e. as opposed to having one hosting package and adding additional websites as add-on domains?

Similarly, if there is an advantage, is it better to go with separate hosting providers for each website to obtain IPs in completely different ranges?
