Looking for someone with an email list in IM niche - 75% you, 25% me

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 08:48 PM PDT

Hey guys,

I'm looking for someone to promote my product (link in the sig). See also relevant BHW thread.

Affiliate system is set up through clickbank. Commissions are 75% and payout is $65 per sale.

Contest is also taking place. If you generate only 10 sales you get 23" acer monitor or $150 cash, 20 sales gets you a Lenovo IdeaPad S10 or $250 cash, and 50 sales gets you a MacBook Air or $1000 cash (if you join the affiliate mailing list on the affiliate page (http://instantmoneypages.com/affiliates.html), you get 5 required sales knocked off so it's 5, 15, 45 sales required for the prizes).

PM me or post here for more info.

Different CMS apps

I'm a big fan of WP personally, but here's a list from dzone about some different CMS/blogging platforms to consider...personally, I think it looks like the author tired about halfway through the article and stopped writing brief blurbs about each one and just posted links to the apps' sites, but if you're looking into other options might be worth a peek:

What should I do with the VPS I bought?

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 07:38 PM PDT

Hi guys,

I bought a VPS about 4-5 days ago, 1GB ram, 100m/bit line and 200gb monthly allowance.

I initially wanted to run quite a few instances of SB and just test it out, see what it feels like to have a VPS - but from what I can tell, it is nothing special. The only good thing is the 100m/bit line... which is probably shared anyway so I won't get all of it.

Is there anything good I can use it for still? Im probably going to get SB license moved back to my normal PC as the VPS can't handle too many instances... better for me to run 10 instance on my own PC and leave it on all night.

Is my Autoblog really worth $11,000 ??

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 07:31 PM PDT

I use the Seoquake toolbar and I just checked the price on one of my autoblogs and it says it is worth just over $11,000.

When I click on the details (which goes to the semrush website) it also tells me that Estimated number of visitors coming from the first 20 search results of Goooogle in the US each month is 55,000 and that the SE traffic price (estimated cost of purchasing the same number of visitors would be $11,000)

Is the semrush website accurate? This blog is doing quite well, but it is just an autoblog on a .info domain.

Ebay banning PayPal??

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 06:33 PM PDT

WTF? This is the error ebay gives me when trying to list an auction:

"It appears you are offering Paypay as a payment method which is not permitted in the eBay marketplace. Buyers have a wide variety of choices about how to pay eBay sellers, and while most of the payment methods offered by eBay sellers offer a high degree of safety and convenience, a few simply are not appropriate for the eBay marketplace.

Please revise your listing by removing the banned payment method."

Obviously I know ebay owns paypal or whatever so I know it's not banned. Think this is just to block me adding new auctions? My paypal account is verified and not limited or anything, so I can't figure it out.

Be careful of public proxies -warning

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 06:26 PM PDT

For those of you who are using public proxies, be very careful. Public anonymous proxies sometimes switch and reveal your ip address which becomes a security issue after a while.

Here is a little experiment.

For those of you who have scrape box, do this:

1. Gather proxies using scrape box and do the anonymity check. Only use proxies that pass as anonymous.

2. Since most of you have scrape box running for a few hours before a blast is completed, do your regular routine of a blast.

3. After a few hours, you will notice that some of the very same ips that passed earlier as private anonymous proxies now switch and start revealing your ips.

4. To determine this, import the same proxies in bookmarking demon (or any proxy checking software) and do a connection test of the proxies. You will now notice that the very same list that you started with a few hours ago that WAS anonymous will show up in bookmarking demon as now revealing your real ips.

You can also recheck the same ips in scrapebox if you want. It will still show similar results.

If you are going to be using public proxies:

1. Use a VPN
2. Make sure all your tcp and internet data uses that connection for all softwares.
3. If the proxies stop working as anonymous, it will only reveal the ip address of the vpn and not your real ip address.

The only down fall in doing it this way is SPEED. Things will be much slower, but more safe for you.

For more advanced protection, you can use a router to server vpn. With this way, instead of relying on your computer's software alone, you can have the router connect directly to the vpn provider's server. This way your entire network will flow over the vpn connection.

So is it better to focus on 1-2 niches instead of random niches

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 06:22 PM PDT

Do you agree its best to focus on 1 or 2 niches solely instead of building campaign for 1 niche then move on to another niche such as How to train your dog to stand on his 2 toes..

I mean 1 or 2 niches your a expert in the niche and you can have return customers who will buy from you over and over. Also it would be better for JV's partnerships and other stuff and you could build a massive list.

What do you think. A book i read recommends 1-2 niches until mastered

Wordpress / General CMS Manager or Site Duplicator

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 05:49 PM PDT

so heres the deal guys, the company i work for recently tasked me with purchasing 20+ domains that are keyword targeted for our industry. It's up to me what content goes on the sites and i'm wondering if theres a tool out there where i can use a wp/joomla template and duplicate it across multiple sites. They are all hosted on the same domain and basically i just want a cookie cutter site where i can just put unique content on each sites landing page, but have the same "about us", "contact us", "privacy policy" etc... i can do it all manually but i would prefer a way to do it with automation

anyone know of an easy way to do that? or a tool that will help in the process

Is It Mathematically Possible To Crack The Lottery Formula?

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 05:02 PM PDT

As we all know the lottery must us a mathematical formula, that makes it nearly impossible to have a winner, let alone multiple winners, like keno uses.

Or possibly it could be as simple as the lotto machine gives the owners the numbers that no one played out of all the possible combo's and then they rig the balls some how to bring up the un-played numbers? (Would not cross this one out completely lol)

If you ever take the time to examine a single month of say PA Powerball against a list of previous years, you will notice a pattern if you dig deep enough, with an outside of the box mind set.

I been considering making a spreadsheet in excel to further evaluate my thoughts, and then use that data to create a lottery simulator. These both combined should be enough to determine any possible winning combinations, or possibly at least increase the odds of picking a few numbers correctly. But I would like some outside opinions on if this is a waste of my time before exploring it further.

Any feedback is welcomed; please keep this a fun and educational post and not the target of flaming.

Quick ? about duplicate content.

I have a nice 500 word sales page that I'd like to rank for 5 or 6 keywords.

I understand it's best to make individual pages for each keyword and title each page to match the keyword.

Could I get high rankings by making 6 individual pages, then writing a 300 page unique article at the top of the page, then depositing the same 500 word sales pitch at the bottom? Or would Google penalize each page for having the same 500 word sales pitch?

i cant seem to make myself do anything that i cant automate.
i have been programming for 5 years and i never really related that to IM until i started auto blogging.
now everytime i think of an idea or method or even read an existing method i figure out if/how i can automate it and if not i move on.

just wondering if anyone else is actually costing themselves money by keeping themselves inside a box.

senuke case study on new site.

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 04:27 PM PDT

im a member ofdoylelewi...-on-a-new-site/

thought id share this here and save yall $20. Great for beginning senukers.
SEnuke On A New Site – A Case Study

In this case study I will be walking through the entire process of setting up an affiliate site and promoting it with SEnuke. Steps we’ll cover include:
  • Niche Research
  • Keyword Research
  • Domain Registration
  • Sales Page Creation
  • Content Creation
  • Nuking
  • Ranking Other Pages
The case study is mostly over. I ended up getting several top 10 spots for both main keywords I was targeting.

This case study started June 5th, 2010.
Niche Research

The first part of starting any new site is picking the niche you want it to be in. My biggest criteria for this case study was finding a niche that should be fairly easy to get some traction in, so I went for something pretty obscure. I don’t know how much money is here, so I’m taking a chance there. But all techniques stay the same. The reason I didn’t go with one of the more popular niches is that seeing progress would take longer.
I went with an offer from Clickbank. You can use any affiliate site you want, or promote your own product. It really doesn’t matter. I checked through niches like quilting and feng shui, but didn’t really see any products that caught my eye. Then I came across this offer. The description hardly mentioned what the product was, just that it was new and should be easy to get traffic. That certainly had me intrigued.
The product description in Clickbank. Claims little competition.

Looking at the offer landing page, it seems like a decent enough sales letter type page. It lets the visitor know how quickly they can expect results, and that it can be done with little effort. And it’s chemical free, making it kid and pet friendly. All things that a perspective buyer is likely interested in.
Typical sales letter style landing page. They provide answers to questions that a perspective buyer might have. This is key to a landing page. Questions reduce conversions.

So, now we have a good niche to test. A page that looks like it should convert decently well and a niche they claim should be easy to get traffic from. Next up is our keyword research where we will find out if that’s really the case.
Keyword Research

Now that we have our offer picked, we need to think about the type of keywords that people who are looking to get rid of centipedes might search with. My first two guesses are “kill centipedes” and “get rid of centipedes.” Let’s take those keywords and see what SEnuke has to say about them.
Looks like "kill centipedes" should be easy to get at least a couple of top 10 spots, if not almost all of them.

Looks like it might be just a little tougher for "get rid of centipedes," but still not hard.

But we can’t just rely on the info in SEnuke. What we need to see what the competition is like in the top 10. For this I’ll be using Market Samurai. If you don’t have it I’d recommend it for tracking your rankings and for helping with keyword research. Market Samurai agrees that both keywords should be easy to rank for. Another good sign that we’re on the right track.
Very few of these pages has any links to the page. That is what I really like to see. Most of the pages are just article repository or directory sites. Should be easy to beat them.

These pages have a few more links to them, but they are less optimized for the keyword, and we should be able to hit this number of links pretty quickly. The cache age is also quite old on many of the pages, so they aren't pages Google think are very important.

Now we’ve found two keywords we should have no problems ranking for, but are they going to get us any traffic? A quick look in the at the keywords with the Google keywords tool will let us know.
We can see that both get around 100 searches per day. Not a huge number, but we can work with that.

At this point I’m going to switch back over to Market Samurai to keep doing keyword research. It’s easier to find keywords, filter out junk, and find keywords with more traffic.
What we're seeing here is that those keywords are just getting around 100 searches per day. But if we can rank for "house centipede" or "house centipedes" we should be able to get some pretty good traffic. Microsoft doesn't think these are very commercial keywords so we may have trouble converting the traffic that we do get, but with a product that addresses a very specific need these people have I have higher hopes.

With this test I will now be targeting “kill centipedes” and “get rid of centipedes” in the short term and “house centipede” and “house centipedes” in the longer term.
Domain Registration

Now that we know the keywords we’re targeting we know what keywords we want in the domain. When starting a new site I like to look for aged domains at GoDaddy and NameJet. Neither had any domains that would work for this purpose. But you can pick up some great aged keywords with existing links occasionally. With that in mind I ended up registering killhousecentipedes.com. I didn’t want to go more than 3 words in the domain, I wanted a .com and I want to get as many of the keywords in it as I could. Now we have to get a site setup that we can start sending people to.
Sales Page and Site Creation

The next step in the process involves getting the site set up, and doing a pre-sales page that we send people to. For this, I really like to use WordPress. It’s easy to setup, easy to upgrade, and easy to extend. We need the site to do 3 things:
  • Sell the user on the ebook before sending them to the offer
  • Have several pages that rank for various terms
  • Have new content posted regularly, since Google loves fresh content
If you have a different system you like using, feel free to use that. Or if you just want to do simple HTML you can do that as well. If you don’t know how to install WordPress, there is a video tutorial available here. I won’t be covering it here.
When doing a WordPress installation, I always use the following plugins. They can all be installed using the online plugin installer.
  • Google XML Sitemaps
  • wp-o-matic
  • WP Super Cache
  • All In One SEO Pack
  • I also always change my permalinks to /%postname%/
After getting WP setup, now we need to add some content. Every site you do should have a Privacy Policy and Terms of Service that Google can find. It wants to see these on every site, and if you don’t include them you likely won’t rank as well. For a free privacy policy go to www.freeprivacypolicy.com. For a free Terms of Use generator go to http://www.bennadel....y-generator.htm.
Now that we have those out of the way, we need to add content. I’m going to add one article on each keyword to get started, and plan on adding a second for each after a few weeks. But since Google likes fresh content I’m also going to set up an autoblog to post pest-control related content. We’ll cover finding feeds and setting up WordPress to process them now.
The first place to look for feeds it Ezine Articles. They have a feed for pest control, which is perfect for our needs. But we want to mix things up, so we’ll go to Google and search for pest control blog and pest control rss feed. We want to find a few sites that we can use feeds from and we want the sites to be updated at least once a week. Take the feeds you have and combine them into a single feed using the RSS Joiner in SEnuke. You can find it at Windows > RSS Joiner. By combining them into a single feed we can further vary the posts that we’re getting.
With our new RSS feed we can now set up wp-o-matic. At this point I’m going to assume that you’ve installed the plugin, and gone through the 4 step setup. We need to setup a category to have these posts go to. I’m going to call mine Pest Control.
In the first step all we need to do is setup a title for this campaign.

Now we set the category the posts should be inserted in to.

On the final step I only changed 2 options. I changed the post frequency so it doesn't post as often. We aren't trying to add a lot of content, just enough to keep it fresh. I also changed it to only fetch one post at a time.

I started autoposting content to the site on June 8th. On June 16th I started writing the content for the 4 keyword pages and also posted the privacy policy and terms of service. The home page will have excerpts from each of the 4 keyword articles. I will also be adding a large banner ad above the fold that will load on every page. There really isn’t a need to wait this long to start posting content, you can start posting and nuking right away. I just had life get in the way a bit
Nuking

Today is July 17th and the site is now ready for it’s initial nuking process. I have my pages setup, a banner to get people to click. The first thing I’ll be doing is setting up a set of accounts to use, and I’ll use Instant Article Factory to crank out an article that I can submit. My first couple of submissions will be for the keyword phrase get rid of house centipedes. Today I submitted an article to Ezine Articles, but don’t expect to have it approved for around a week, so I’ll add the URL to that below once it is.

July 20th: I created a set of accounts for all of the modules that I’ll be using just for this case study. I also did my first submission to the social networking sites and ended up with 20 pages that got created. Since this was my first submission in this niche all of them pointed to a sub-page on my money site I want to rank for this keyword. The next submission is where I’ll start mixing in #randurls# and links to the other pages listed below. I also submitted the RSS Feed URLs from the URL manager using the RSS module and Scrapebox. I’ll check indexing on these posts tomorrow and bookmark any that aren’t indexed.

July 21st: Looking at pages that still have our links using Scrapebox, it looks like we’re down to 16 that are still good. Only 1 got indexed from the RSS posting yesterday. Right now I’ll take the 15 URLs that are left and put them into a single feed using Links2RSS and IceRocket and submit those feeds. I’ll also bookmark the pages that aren’t indexed yet and submit the bookmark account RSS feeds. Today I also created my first hub for this niche and went in and chose my answer at Yahoo Answers as the best answer. I’ll now include those URLs in my next submissions for building links.

July 22nd: Still just the one URL indexed. Today I’ll post the links on a couple of my splogs and setup a profile module posting to post to all my URLs in the niche. The seed article was taken from IAF with just the small amount of spinning it does. It looks like from now on I’ll have to do no spinning in IAF and run the articles through TBS after they are generated to make them easier to index.
July 23rd: Ezine approved the article today, URL updated below. Never doubt the power of a good autoblog Yesterday I posted a simple list of links to my pages and this morning nothing had still be picked up. So I took an article and inserted the 15 links in to that and in about 20 minutes 14 of the 15 had been indexed. If you don’t already have at least one autoblog running, start one today. Today I will be posting a second article. I’m going to use one of the longer templates with IAF and do all of the spinning in TBS so it should be much easier to get indexed, I don’t want to have to use the autoblog for all of the indexing. There will be a new link format when I insert my links in this article. I’ll use
{<a href=”moneysite”>Get rid of house centipedes</a>|<a href=”yahooanswers”>Get rid of house centipedes</a>|<a href=”ezine”>Get rid of house centipedes</a>|<a href=”hubpages”>Get rid of house centipedes</a>|#randurls[1|1| |centipedes]#}
So 80% of the time it should post to one of the pages I’m trying to rank, and the other 20% to one of the pages that were created in the last run. Obviously you’ll want to change the URLs to the real URLs.

July 25th: I ended up with 18 posts from my second run on Friday. I haven’t done any linking to get them indexed, but one did get indexed on it’s own. Today I’ll be doing RSS and bookmarking. I ended up centering this article around the keyword kill house centipedes to try to get some traction there. I’m also adding a ranking and traffic update below.
July 26th: Today I will be beefing up tier 2 by doing 2 full profile runs pointing to all of the sites that have been created so far, but not to the money site yet. Looking at Hubpages and Ezine I can see that the pages there are getting some traffic of their own now. Time to setup the Squidoo lens.

July 27th: Today will be a slower day. I’ll be bookmarking my money site today. I’ll submit 1 URL from the site to three different profiles on each site. I’ll also be setting up a ton of twitter accounts for use with my twitter indexing script.
July 28th: I won’t be doing any posting today. I’ll be setting up more twitter accounts. Tomorrow we’ll get back into link building. I’ll also be working on the video over the next several days.

July 29th: Today will be the start of profile posting directly to my money site. I’ll create all of the accounts today and post to them over the next 3 days. Twitter account creation and work on the video also continues.

August 1st: Today will be the last day of this profile posting round. Tomorrow we’ll start on a new article.

August 2nd: Take a look at the new rankings posted below. You’ll see that it’s starting to slip a bit. I was hoping this would happen as it’s quite normal, and it gives me a chance to show you how to get past it, and show how you have to use this data to change your gameplan. You’ll notice that yesterday I was planning on posting a new round of articles today, that’s not going to happen any more.
First, let’s go over why it happens and why it’s almost impossible to avoid. It happens because Google loves new content from authority domains. It will rank them fairly highly really quickly. When you read success stories in the forum about people getting rankings in a couple of hours, it is almost always these web 2.0 pages. The problem is, if you don’t build any links into these pages, they end up dropping off almost as quickly as they showed up.
So what does that mean for us? It means we need to get more links to our web 2.0 pages we’re creating, and we need to create more of them. Today I ordered 10 articles to be written and I should have them by Friday. That means this week I’ll be creating 10 new profiles for use with this domain. I’ll do 2 each day. So that new links don’t dry out completely I’ll also do 1 round of profile submissions pointing to the web 2.0 pages each day. This will give us about 40 minutes of work to do each day, and set us up really well for when we have our content ready.
It’s really easy to get blinders on when you’re doing this work and you can forget to see what’s going on. Learning to adapt to the situation is what will make or break your sites.

August 6th: All of the accounts are created and come Monday we’ll be hitting the submissions hard. I also took advantage of the downtime to setup more Twitter accounts, and this weekend I’ll be upgrading to BIE 7, so those will both be helping immensely in getting the tons of new URLs we’ll have next week indexed.

August 9th: I have unspun versions of the content in hand, and should have the spun versions tonight or tomorrow (the joys of outsourcing). Today I’m going to submit 4 of the unspun articles to my Ezine articles account to give them a head start in approving them. I’ll also take one of the articles, run it through TBS and submit that to the web2.0 sites. I’ll also go through and bookmark both old and new URLs to get a few more links into each of these pages.

August 10th: More problems with the outsourcer being slow. Today will be similar to yesterday. I’ll post a few more articles to Ezine, do another spin and submit that to the web2.0 sites and some more bookmarking. I’ll also create several more bookmarking accounts.

August 11th: The first few spun articles came in today. I’ll be submitting 2 of them to different profiles. Both will use the same linking structure I mentioned earlier:
{<a href=”moneysite”>Get rid of house centipedes</a>|<a href=”yahooanswers”>Get rid of house centipedes</a>|<a href=”ezine”>Get rid of house centipedes</a>|<a href=”hubpages”>Get rid of house centipedes</a>|#randurls[1|1| |centipedes]#}

August 12th: More of the same from yesterday. I’ll be submitting two more articles on different profiles, using the same linking structure. I also noticed traffic is picking up and hops are increasing as well. I’ll be posting a ranking and traffic update today as well.

August 13th: Another similar update to yesterday, two more articles being submitted to different profiles. Things got hectic yesterday and I couldn’t get the traffic update up, that’ll be done today. This weekend I’ll be working hard at getting these pages indexed.

August 16th: The outsourcer is still being extremely slow and has only gotten me 4 of the 10 articles I ordered. That’s OK, I have about 100 URLs from last week that I need to get indexed, so that’s what I’ll be doing the next couple of days. I checked rankings last night and got a nice surprise in Google, so I’ll be doing an update on rankings later this week after getting these pages indexed. I’m starting the indexing quest with twitter posting today. After that runs for a while, whatever isn’t indexed tonight I’ll do a few runs of social bookmarking before going to bed.

August 17th: Got around 50% of my posts indexed yesterday. Not bad for the approximately 30 minutes it took to do the work.
Today I’ll be setting up 10 new accounts at all of the social bookmarking sites. Then I’ll pretty much have social bookmarking running in the background all day. Since I just have to close 3 windows and click start for each new submission, I should be able to do 20 full submissions and 10 account creations with about 20 minutes of actual work. Tonight I’ll take the RSS feeds that the SB sites create and do 3-4 submissions of the feed URLs through the RSS module.
To help speed up indexing I’m now also running BIE and having it post to 2 of my splogs. It’s set to run every 20 minutes, so each splog should get 3 new posts every 2 hours on average.
Tomorrow the number of outstanding URLs to get indexed should be much lower and I’ll get back to doing submissions.

August 19th: Yesterday I was playing around with a Twitter account creation tool. Creates accounts really well, but I think I ended up abusing it trying to create around 700 accounts in one day from 10 IPs. For submissions, I did 2 profile nuke runs pointing to my ezine pages and my hub and lens. So there’s around 650 URLs off to get indexed. I still haven’t received the rest of the content from the outsourcer, but I’ll be resubmitting 2 of the articles under different profiles today.

August 23rd: Finally got the rest of my articles. Today I’ll be doing 2 article submissions, but instead of using all of my URLs from the linking structure earlier, I’m just going to link to the pages I have in the top 10 of my 2 target keywords. Trying to get those to move up. After the submissions I’ll be submitting the new URLs to social bookmarking, then I’ll add the URLs to my Twitter posting and BIE.

August 24th: Same game plan today as yesterday.

August 25th: Posting two more articles, with the requisite indexing ritual. I also added a new page on my site about house centipedes. Used content from Wikipedia. I also need to run more profile links to these new pages and to my ezine pages. When I search manually on Google I have #1 for both main keywords, and for get rid of house centipedes I have #1,2,9, & 10.

August 29th: This week will be focused on getting links to any page I have that is currently in the top 30. The goal is to take pages that are ranking decently on their own and give them the push they need to make it a page higher. The goal for every day will be to do a social networking submission, a profile nuke submission, and a few social bookmarking runs. May or may not actually hit that goal, but I should be able to generate over 1,000 new links to my pages this week.

September 9th: Still floating with a few spots in the top 10 for each keyword. I’ve been doing major testing on indexing methods which has resulted in much lower indexing rates than I would normally have, so I haven’t been able to topple getridofthings.com yet. I’m going to start using only half my URLs for testing and run the other half through normal indexing, so hopefully I can get that number one spot.
There might not be a ton of updates here, as the routine will be the same. Identify pages in the top 30 and build links into those. I’ll be using the social networking and profile modules for links and RSS for help with indexing. It’s probably also time to put together another hub or two. Then if I’m lucky I can get double listings with my site, ezine and hubpages. I’ll also take the articles approved at ezine and submit them to all of the other article sites. I’ll create new accounts at each using the same info as the ezine account though.
As a special bonus I did get my first sale on the product on Monday. I think I’m going to rework my homepage. Turn it more into a story, and possibly buy a “testimonial” video from fiverr.com.

September 19th: I got another sale so the site is now technically profitable. I haven’t done any nuking on any sites for over a week, so no progress here either. I think I will be picking another related keyword to go after over the next week or so.

Ranking Other Pages

One of the benefits of choosing a more simple keyword is that you should be able to obtain several of the top 10 positions. I want to rank my main money page, plus I plan to create a hub at hubpages, a squidoo lens, an article at ezine articles and a Yahoo Answers page. All of these will be created manually, not using SEnuke.
The first I created was a Yahoo Answers page. It’s very simple. Just sign up for a Yahoo account using a proxy and post a question. Make sure that you use your keyword you’re targeting in your question, and at least a variation in the body of the question. Then, with a normal main account answer the question. Wait at least a few hours before answering. Also make sure not to answer from the same proxy you posted the question from. It is important that the account that’s answering the question be a level 2 account (at least 250 points) so that you can post a real link. Also make sure to post a link to an informative post on your site, that leads the user on to the offer. Don’t make it over-salesy.
Idiot Tip: So the first account I made for posting the question at Yahoo Answers, I neglected to write down the Yahoo username. Don’t be like me, remember to keep track of it. I did end up getting lucky and other users voted my answer best anyway.
URLs of my various pages I’ll be working on:
Yahoo Answers: http://answers.yahoo...17144032AAt1ADJ
Ezine Articles: http://ezinearticles...teps&id=4687454
Hubpages: http://hubpages.com/...ouse-Centipedes
Squidoo: http://www.squidoo.c...ouse-centipedes
Ranking and Traffic Updates

July 17th - Already getting traffic and rankings before building a single link to the site. Gotta love keyword-matched domains.
I've already gotten as many as 10 visitors in a day without having built a link to my site. This shows the power of keyword matched domains.

We can see that Google is a big fan of keyword-matched domains. I'm already ranking in the top 10 before I've done any work. Getting the #1 spot should be pretty easy.

July 25 - Picking up spaces in Yahoo from our first submission, and we’re getting traffic from Yahoo too. You’ll see that we seem to be dancing a bit. I’ve also noticed another person doing some SEO in this niche.
The stats are showing that we're starting to get some traffic. A fair amount of it is actually coming from Yahoo.

We dropped a bit on kill house centipedes since we haven't done a submission targeting that keyword yet. But on get rid of house centipedes we have a couple spots in the top 10 in Yahoo.

July 27th - Normally I wouldn’t check rankings 2 days after checking the last time, but I was noticing traffic to some of my postings, so I got curious. We can see that 1 week after our first posting we are already starting to dominate Yahoo for both terms, and Google is coming along nicely. Not bad for the first week, and we haven’t even done a profile nuke run pointing to the money site yet
We just posted for kill house centipedes a couple days ago, but we already have 2 spots in the top 10 in Yahoo. We haven't even posted to the big authority sites like hubpages or ezine yet.

We did our first post on get rid of house centipedes a week ago, and we now have 3-4 of the top 10 spots in Yahoo. For both keywords Google is proving tougher, but coming along nicely.

August 2nd - Today we’ll be analyzing our rankings above. The new movement gives us our actions to take over the next couple of weeks.

August 29th: Google is starting to show the love. For the search kill house centipedes I have 3 spots on the first page. For the search get rid of house centipedes I have 5 spots.

*thanks and reps appreciated !

Persistence is all I got - so far...

Okay people I am wrapped in Kevlar so come and bring the napalm!
I am gonna sound like a right noob but stuffit, you don't ask you don't learn, right?
So, I have two full years of trying to crack this IM thing.
I am an IT Tec by day and have spent these 2 years doing the usual hamster wheel thing.
I have learned a passable skillsets for the usual stuff from Cpanel to FTP & HTML/Dreamweaver all the way down to Wordpress.
I have created eBooks, given away stuff, built a couple of dozen autoblogs and tried PLR sites, bespoke sites and blogs.
I have Sites with Adsense, sites with CPA offers and some with Affiliate (Amazon) offers.
Oh and I was burned with Google CPC.
In this time I have bought most of the product launches (gotta invest in your education, right?) and the shiny new toys and have some of the cool things like Scrapebox, MicroNicheFinder, Linkwheel Builder& WP-Robot. And lots of costly WP Themes.
Of course I have annual outgoings like Hosting and Aweber. There are subscriptions coming out of my ears.
Still No income from IM.
You get it.
THis last few weeks I have even tried awhat sounded like a really promising WSO technique of listing real Ebay stuff just to siphon some traffic ( no joy).
Anyway I am not down or giving up or doing any of the dramatic stuff but fer feks sake I could really do with making a return from something I could talk to my wife and kids about( although actually I am tempted to try adult websites next )
It is easy to say that I am flitting from one thing to the next but I really have built the sites and really have sat up late into the night with tired eyes perfecting this or that aspect of my funnel/landing page/ ecover...
So please don't say " You Must TAke Action" or " You noobs all want to be spoonfed" I am doing the stuff that people write about on here.
So come on people do your worst, what should be next, I have listed my attributes and assets... what is a good fit?

Linkwheels: can you be too random?

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 04:14 PM PDT

Let's say I have 4 linkwheels (a/b/c/d) around a primary site. So, I spin an article and upload to the sites with 2-3 keyword backlinks to my primary site and another to a site in the wheel.

Here's what I'm considering: I post the article to wheel "a" sites but instead of shooting out that extra link inside wheel "a", I send it to the 2.0 sites in wheel "c" and just mix it up everytime I post to a wheel.

I've taken the URL's for each wheel and spun them with some keyword text so that I can easily randomize the link.

Code:

<a  href="{http://url1.com|http://www.url2.com|http://www.url3.com/blog/etc etc etc}">My Widget is Best</a>
The spin works with the software I use but the question I have, is it too random? Is this a good idea or a bad idea? Do I need to keep the juice in the same wheel? I was hoping this might be a way to stay well under the radar.

Problems with IE8 on Win7

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 04:07 PM PDT

I'm having some problems I didn't have before. IE8 is loading slower and when I click a tab its also taking forever to load. I'm on Win7 and left it running a day or so.

I ran anti-virus and malwarebytes but didn't find anything. I cleared the cache and ran CCleaner. Nothing.

It stills slow.
