ok, so since last night I have been running SB and harvested over 1 millions urls. This is the biggest thing i have ever done with SB, before this, I would do like 5K.
I have about 20 web 2.0's, like ezine, wetpaint, etc.
so if i blast these, my main site should not get sandboxed, / get in trouble for spamming / etc. etc. right? PS this is a white hat site, so I cant risk getting deindexed.
by the way, a few nights ago, I left SB running overnight and in the morning, it was giving an error "Send report" "Dont send" and when I clicks dont send, it closed, and all of my hard work was gone. Does this happen if you harvest too much? SB is running as we speak and I dont want to lose all my hard work again.

hi. I am making a website in which clients will upload their files to my website.
I have already got a php script for it, its called "File Thingie" (I know, stupid name but great script). The way it will work: I will create a few usernames and passwords. I will require a login page for anyone who wants to upload things. They will need to call me and I will give them their unique username and password. Then, they will use that to upload their stuff.

BUT
I am concerned about hackers having access to my server. I have been reading a lot about this and different websites say different things about making it hacker proof. The easiest solution that I came across is below. I got this from some website:

"The best way of handling file uploads securely is rather than giving writable permissions to users, is to allow the writable permission to apache itself. In this way the apache server has writable permission rather than the user. Just chown the writable folder to apache or nobody and assign 770 permission.

In this way the public has no access to read or write or execute permissions in the uploads folder. You will notice that apache has rwx and so as the owner. You can safely place the upload folder inside www folder without any concern.

chown -R apache uploads
chmod -R 770 uploads "

I dont quite understand all this technical jargon, but is my understanding correct? if I paste the 2 lines in my .htaccess, then I am safe? I won't have to do anything with the php code itself?

Hey everyone, I've been a part of this community for a couple months now and have researched different methods on making money online, but I have had little success. The only real money I have ever made was when I made $650 2 years ago on freebie sites(trainn.org, i highly recommend it) and I still would do that, but in the end it wont be very profitable. The things that have really interested me are the offline tactics such as approaching businesses with ideas and make money off of them, but I just don't know where or how to start. I have no skills in web-design or SEO or anything, so having so little experience has limited my opportunities and while it may be wise to learn some of it, I would rather start something that I can succeed in, such as the offline method I mentioned and just outsource the work.

I have some good ideas to make money, but having no start up money is also another limiter. My parents and everyone else does not believe in what I am doing, and not that I care, but I want to prove everyone wrong, I am always called lazy by the people around me because I have only worked one real job, and that drives me to show them what i can do and to prove them wrong, but I need help, I want to be more than successful, I want to be the best, but I need a starting point and if anyone would be interested in giving me work, I will do anything that is asked, I just want to make money.

I graduate high school in 2 months and by the time I graduate I want to show everyone that they were wrong, I have the motivation for this and I will do whatever it takes to succeed.

I am having a hard time trying to find keywords. I am using market samurai at the moment and have found two keywords with 9000 SEOC and 91 SEOT. However, it' a product name and the manufacturer and several online outlets (amazon, buy.com) are on the main page. Do I have any chance in hell of ranking #1?

I have a keyword that only has 880 searches per month on Goog, but also has only 5000 intitle and 2000 inurl. The top sites for the search are not major sites (i.e. Amazon, Wikipedia). This is a travel related term.

In this post I will explain you to get some traffic and fans for a music band website and Facebook page.

Let me tell you the story. I have been running my own company for more than 6 years, and started IM a few months ago. I am making a little right now with only one website ($30 - $40 per day) and pracitising some Black Hat methods on my test sites.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine who owns a music studio introduced me to a local rock music band. They needed a website, and they wanted fans as every music band. I have built their website on Wordpress, made the regular white hat on site SEO work and started some backlink building.

As they needed traffic to their websites to promote their new demo recording we discussed the ways to get more traffic to their website and then I decided to go some black hat.

As everyone knows people are looking for the MP3 downloads everywhere and they love downloading these materials. So I got the band's demo recording with their cover made and directly entered some well known warez sites.

The band was brand new and they had no contracts with any type of promoter or publisher so I was free to distribute the copies. And I simply put the files on those warez sites.

After a week the demo recording was downloaded more than 300 times, and the site made a leap in traffic as 200 unique visitors per day.

The following week many leechers and uploaders took the file and uploaded them to many places. The band's name was on every warez site I knew and after a month we have reached 1000+ unique visitors per day.

The trick was on uploading the incomplete file. The demo recordings had 9 songs but the fifth one was missing on the uploaded file. So many downloader went straight into the website of the band to listen or download the missing song. Of course we shared that file on MySpace, and at the end of the last month th group managed to get more than 1000 unique visitors per day, more than 2k fans on Facebook and 5k fans on MySpace.

I do not know if it was used anywhere before but this worked like a charm for me. Of course you can twist this method for your own niche but getting this traffic with only 4 hours of work is good enough I think.
