I think it's one user - new accounts only - you know the deal.

If the first to grab can reply "taken" , that way no-one else will waste any time.

A newbie question: which tool can generate this link format? Thanks.

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 09:04 PM PDT

Hi,

I found the link format below in some guestbooks.

wcmmnykmlkkotysdjugg, link1, lgydpJK, link2, rdbjsjc, link3, dqHxbqB, link4, rlQGLOI.

What is this tool? Xrumer or else?

Thanks.

This Is My Cereal Hustle. How I get 20 oz box of Raisin Bran for less than $1.

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 08:58 PM PDT

Ok. This is kinda cheesy but you can probably find other cereal to do it with. Check the pdf to make sure the cereal is on the list before you go for this but anyways, here it goes!

Bonjour cher! In the swamp, we're always looking for a bargain. This post doesn't have anything to do with cellphones but I thought it would help some of you out mon ami! If you like Kellogg's Raisin Bran (works on several others, too), read on. First of all, go to: http://amzn.to/oSewpE . You'll see that Raisin Bran is 4 large boxes for $9 and some change. On the right hand side, if you click on the subscription, it will drop it down to less than $8/ for 4.

Now, when you've accumulated 10 UPC codes from them, print out the following form: http://www2.kelloggs.com/AARP/rewards/FIMSingle.pdf . Mail it in to Kelloggs and you'll get a $10 mastercard refund. That drops the price down per box to less than $1. Oh yeah! The shipping on Amazon is FREE also so that doesn't get tacked on. Enjoy cher! THE SWAMP WILL PROVIDE! :-D By the way, you might have 10 boxes of cereal already. Look around and see if you do. Au revoir!

wpremotecontrol & Remote plugin installs (wordpress)

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 08:26 PM PDT

Hey,

Just bought this plugin, wpremotecontrol(wpremotecontrol.com)

Still getting the hang of it, but it seems very powerful.

This plugin can do alot, basically anything with wp, but at the moment I'm just trying to get wordpress plugins to install remotely.

Has anyone used this plugin?

Or has anyone got another solution for the problem? I need to be able to upload and activate a plugin remotely across a range of wordpress installs.

Facebook autopost?

Is this possible?

URL redirect = lower conversion rate?

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 08:23 PM PDT

Assuming the referrer is blanked, would using a URL redirect generally yield a lower conversion rate? For example using bit.ly or goo.gl etc.

I'm aware that the best thing to do is to make a domain relevant (especially with the keyword) to the niche/offer you're pushing, but I've read many places that success can be made with just a shortlink, but it seems that I don't get many bites with them.

22 Letters = $17,000 profit in 3 weeks.

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 08:15 PM PDT

So it's been a while since I've posted any methods or tutorials here, and that's primarily because the majority of what I'm working on these days is offline and 100% "white hat". To be honest, there really isn't much to it; providing online services for offline clients isn't exactly rocket science. That being said, a quick read around BHW and other IM forums will show you that the problem most people are facing has little to do with the "what" and everything to do with the "how". Getting your offer out to prospects in a way that grabs their attention and provokes action on their part.

So here's one example of how I'm getting my message out to my prospects. This particular snail mail campaign took me about 4 hours to execute (not all in one sitting of course), cost me $38.94, and produced just shy of $17,000 in profit. I was even offered a full time job by one of the prospects I ended up signing. ;) I only reached out to 22 prospects. Of those 22 prospects 5 called me, I met with 3 and closed 3. I'm still working the other 2 and planning follow up letters to those that never made contact.

Ok so a quick backstory - a while back I was talking to Jesusback about reputation management. It's not something I had ever considered offering, but after taking a quick look into it and educating myself a bit, I decided to pitch it to a few existing clients - and they ate it right up. Long story short, I decided to start offering it as a stand alone service.

I landed on snail mail for this campaign for a couple of reasons.

1. I knew I'd be investing time into prospects before they ever received my message, and I wanted to make sure that all that effort was at least going to result in a read.
2. I wanted to personalize every aspect of my initial contact.

See, selling ORM is relatively easy once you push the "this is costing you money" button. Show your prospects how their customers perceive them and how it's hurting the bottom line and they'll be all ears long enough for you to pitch your solution. Don't be afraid to take a swing either. The big dogs charge the moon for ORM - as they should because it's a shitload of work - so you should too. You can always wiggle down to squeeze a fence-rider in.

So where do you find prospects?

Personally I use Google maps and notepad. I know a lot of ORM companies are just F5'ing ripoffreport all day but to each his own. Other methods like bulk email might call for some automation but for our purposes this does just fine.

Here's what you're looking for: Businesses with high lifetime customer value that have poor ratings on their Maps page.

Since G removed all 3rd party ratings from Maps this is super easy to do. Pick a niche, find poor reviews, jot it down. Once you've noted the business name and address, head over to Manta.com and get the owner's name (it's free). Once you've amassed a couple dozen prospects you'll be ready to compose your letters.

My first contact letter is loosely (and I do mean loosely) based on a prospecting letter from the "magic mailers" something or other WSO. I've downloaded a few copywriting cheat sheets like this from the guy Bruce that produces them and while I think they're great for getting the wheels turning, I also think it's worthwhile to mention that they're much less valuable if you aren't putting your own spin on them. The last thing you want is to invest time into a campaign then strike out because some nub is using the same letter right out of the box. With some fluff removed and a heavy emphasis on pushing the prospects money-buttons, here's my revised version:

Quote:

September 20, 2011
Contact name
Business Name
Business Street
City State 00000

Dear {Name},

I'm going to get straight to the point because I know you're busy; attached are some unfavorable reviews about your {business type} that I pulled from the very 1st page of Google.

My name is {Your Name}, and I'm a online reputation management consultant right here in {City, State}. I may have even been in your business at one time or even worked with some businesses near yours.

Here's the Deal:

I can help your {business type} improve your online reputation. Your customers are seeing what others have to say about you before ever walking through your door - and the bad apples leaving these reviews are ruining your good name online. In fact, nearly 70% of your potential customers are consulting reviews and ratings before making a purchase decision. I'm sure if you had your way this isn't how you would choose to represent your company on the internet. I can work with you to suppress, directly answer, or in some cases entirely remove this negative press.

Costs? I can offer you services from a simple one-time cleanup to an ongoing monthly reputation management strategy. Whichever way you should decide to go, the costs involved are nothing compared to what this kind of negative customer-generated content is costing you every month. Just contact me on my cell at 00-000-0000. If I'm with another client just leave me a message and I'l get back to you as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

{Your Name}
Straight to the point, just like it should be. Make sure to sign it by hand with blue ink, no handwriting fonts.

Now here's what really boosts the effectiveness of this letter - take a screenshot of their bad reviews and print it out. Get as many on the page as you can fit. I print them out to fill the entire page, and write on them in red marker in BIG red letters. "You have 10 '1-star' reviews on the first page of Google….this is what your potential customers see when they search for your business!!!" I circle the worst parts and make sure that I'm really driving the point home. You'd be surprised how many businesses aren't even aware that they're getting slammed publicly like this. It really, really pushes their buttons.

Next, take the first contact letter and the printout of the bad reviews and bundle them up in a standard envelope with two, six sided dice. Why? Simply because lumpy mail works. I didn't come up with it, but I've used it before and I know it kills. It also gives your prospect a token that differentiates you from the dozens of other letters they'll likely read that day. Fold your dice into the letter so they can be seen as soon as the envelope is opened. The dice also make the letters to big for automated processing, and they now need to be mailed as a parcel. Even though they'll cost you $1.77 each like this IT'S WORTH IT. They now get a huge barcode label and are very, very unlikely to be thrown out as marketing mail since very few letters arrive with parcel stickers. Hand address your envelopes and use a personal return address, not your business.

Here's an example:

That should be enough to get you started. If there's any interest I'll write up another installment on preparing your ORM proposal, pricing, contracts, and CLOSING etc. Good luck. :D

How do I get past the WHITE SCREEN OF DEATH from Cox Internet - they blocked me

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 07:56 PM PDT

So last time I used PirateBay was 2010. COX Internet blocked me and I had to call them up and tell them I was "sorry."

Nothing ever came of it after that.

I never used PirateBay again... I don't download much anyway...

You can see a screenshot of the "White Screen of Death" here:

http://torrentfreak.com/cox-disconne...ternet-080930/

Anyway, I would like to try to download some apps again.

But I don't want to get "caught" again...

Ideas?

Some people seem to recommend "PeerBlocker" -- whatever that is. I haven't looked into it. (I'm not much of a network guy...)

Thanks!

Now it's the time to be serious. To make big. I'm ready.

[JV] Want to break into a competitive but rewarding niche?

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 06:53 PM PDT

Hi all,

I have a website and strategy for an online business community that I'm currently a week into building. Traffic has been interesting with about 8k hits in that time. It's not an exact match domain, it's a brand name, but it does have a high-value keyword in it - though the competition is fierce. It is a five-letter domain and a fusion of BuddyPress and WordPress.

I am looking for partners. Someone who sees what we're doing and believes it can be profitable and have a presence with the right development and direction. We have a lot of options planned out and some unique tools, so we feel we can come to enjoy a good amount of traffic in the niche - and outside the niche as well.

It's all white hat stuff, so I'm not looking for anything like that. I'm looking for good, reputable people with experience, skills, and maybe even an investment. But a CODER at this time would be sublime, especially if some sort've profit-share/partnership can be developed that protects us both.

If you're interested, please feel free to PM me for the site. I will NOT respond to those with under 50 posts or one month on BHW. If you feel you can make yourself a good case why and you do NOT meet those two requirements, feel free to PM anyway and I will consider it. Only reputable members, please! Thanks!

Perfect Adult Domain Google SEO Top Spot?!

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 06:43 PM PDT

Let's say you own the perfect adult domain for your niche... How long do you think it would take to rank top3 in Google if someone searches "sex video" if you had no prior marketing on the site and sex video was the name of your domain?

Budget for marketing that stays for the most part: High
Personal time devoted to marketing the site yourself: Low

What would you do?

AdSense-like network for CPA or CPS?

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 06:30 PM PDT

AdSense provides automatic display of CPC ads on a website; but I have not seen such network for CPA or CPS programs. For example, publisher must apply for each advertiser in CJ, and use individual banner of the advertiser. Ain't no affiliate network to display ads (on CPA or CPS basis) from different advertiser dynamically by a javascript code?

Local IM business, any advice?

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 06:04 PM PDT

So i was in a class the other day about White hat marketing and what not and the guy let slip about him doing some local advertising on the side.
Has anybody done anything like this?
Im kind of at a dead end
Ive tried to piece together his method but he was pretty mum on it
so Im thinking 4 levels
like the first one is google then i add bing and yahoo
Then i add myspace to the mix
Then on the top tier i have Facebook and Twitter

I also build a fanpage or a website real simple and stuff
does 1000 dollars sound good for the whole package or is that to high (or low)? maybe i should cut it in half?
I can automate most of it (if my twitter bot starts working again)

Any way just looking to see if anybody has any advice?
Or knows of a good place for info or to even start.
I also need to find some kind of contract to protect me if something goes awry
Thanks in advance
PS. IDK if this is in the right place so sorry if I offend i was told to come here from Business and tax

What PR do i need to get the website crawled and idex every minute ?

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 05:37 PM PDT

I'm making about 1k a month with AdSense but am stopping the method I'm using to concentrate on something else, I've received two checks so far and am about to get my third, so my account is in good standing. I'm looking to offer it up for someone who needs it. The only term for sure is that if my cut isn't at least $500 a month I'm not interested. Other than that, shoot me a PM!

Fiverr Method for $100 in 7 days with a new Gig

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 05:15 PM PDT

Saw somebody asking how to make money on Fiverr,

here's how I've made a fair bit with one gig I launched 1 week ago. Nearly $100 revenue (for $5 each). $60 profit ($4 from Fiverr - $1 outsource per order).

My method.

1. Create a Gig which is already semi-saturated
2. Say you've got sales already in the first line of the gig
3. Say you will give twice as much or a free gig if you are the first few to order (contradicts point 2 but still works lol).
4. Say you will deliver in x days i.e. 1 day or 2 days, or you'll get to pick another one of my gigs for free
6. Once created, order the gig yourself, and deliver and leave positive feedback.
7. Respond to the person who ordered the gig with something like, "sure, you'll get it soon". this just creates a human aspect of the process where any doubt that they have purchased a shit gig has been erased because you took the time to talk to them and confirm their order.
8. Try and deliver in the time frame you actually said, if you have a service. Outsource it.
9. Upsell them a service outside of Fiverr in your report, not in your actual fiverr message or you could get banned.

Finding the right gig to emulate is usually the hardest part. Also try fiddling around with pictures as I found a picture which pull insanely well.

Pretty simple and can be done well by people who don't want to spend money to make money initially or don't know how to start a sales funnel.

I'll try and expand on this later. The beauty of this gig is I check Fiverr in the morning, oursource it. Check emails at night, complete orders and outsource some more. Plus it's made some big money on the back end for me.

Couple SEO questions

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 05:04 PM PDT

Alright so I have finally started a long term project that has made it off the drawing board that I will stick with and I have a few questions on SEO, as it is not my strongest point yet. I just want to make sure that I am doing everything right to not receive the google banhammer and get the best search results. Here is what I am doing: I have one main site dealing with a certain niche, but this main site is not very specific and contains info on all of the many many parts of this niche. I have a large amount of smaller sites dealing with very specific parts of this niche and these sites have links back to the main site. The mini sites are bookmarked to hell and each have about 3 web 2.0's with links back to them.
All this being said, am I doing everything right, is there anything I can do better, is there anything else I can do, and am I doing anything that will cause a google ban? Thanks in advance.

Is SEnuke legal?

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 04:55 PM PDT

I am not against SEnuke and appreciate its idea, just asking this question for my knowledge and clarification. As I know it re-writes the content by changing words to make a unique text; but this is not what Google and other search engines call original content. Although it is difficult for search engines to detect this trick, but as a matter of fact they do not like this trick.

Definitely, Google is working hard to detect such tricks. I just want to know will it be subject to Google penalty?

How to cash out Amazon gift cards?

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 04:47 PM PDT

I make a small money by Amazon affiliate. Since it is low ($20-40 monthly), I cannot receive it via Check. Amazon sends me gift certificates. How can I cash out these certificates?

A common method is to sell it on ebay; but the problem is that scammers on ebay get the code and request charge back to paypal. Thus, it is not a safe way to do so. Do you know a safe way?

Foo Fighters stick it to WBC

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 04:21 PM PDT

As some of you know, I am a member of the Patriot Guard, which is the group of bikers that attends funerals for fallen military members and acts as a blocking force between the families of the fallen and the protesters from the infamous Westboro Baptist Church.

Needless to say, I don't have any fondness for WBC.

That being said, I was never much of a fan of The Foo Fighters, until WBC decided to protest a recent Foo Fighters concert in Kansas City.

The band decided that a little payback was in order.

Now, I'm thinking I'm kinda liking these guys.

How can I get long lasting accounts?

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 03:56 PM PDT

Is it possible? I've made over 40 accounts, manually, and they're still going (1 1/2 months), and I use them to sub and comment ~10 times a day, every day (automated). Is it possible to buy like 100 accounts that will last months, or is this impossible? It seems like everyone I've asked says that no matter what kind you buy, they get banned in a few days. Also, these were not made with proxies.

youtube research tip

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 03:36 PM PDT

Hey I've noticed that alot of people go to google trends to find niches for youtube videos http://www.google.com/trends which is ok if you're selling justin bieber memorabilia but if you are promoting cpa like the rest of us it's best to go to http://www.google.com/insights/search/ Google insights is much better because you can select the category and see what the most searched for the term in the past 7 days for that category you can even enter the term for the cpa product you're trying to promote and what is the most searched term for that product I think this helps alot with titles. don't know if this helps anyone just something I thought I'd share.

When did a simple mail server on Linux get so bloated?!

Posted: 20 Sep 2011 03:09 PM PDT

I've been setting up my new VPS and decided to configure a postfix mail server. I really just need it for one email account on the domain. Holy crap! This thing eats up almost all of my RAM between postfix, amivisd, etc. it is insanity.

I just turned it off. It would be nice to have but can't a basic mail server run in say 128mb ram. Its one mailbox.

Freakin wasted a ton of time just on that too. That is the one thing I forgot about Linux, it is nothing but a huge time sink. Simple things turn into giant fishing expeditions / package dependency problems / etc.

All I'm trying to setup is a web server to host wordpress on main domain, video platform on subdomain, and a mailbox.

I was just watching "Fast Money" on CNBC as I do on a daily basis and they did a story about Chuck Testa.

Stupid attracts attention.

This guy has 3 million Youtube views in 30 days. A company did his video FOR FREE. He is now selling t-shirts. Watch this video and tell me (as an IM'er) you can't throw something together better than this
