| Difficult to outrank Wikipedia page??? Posted: 16 Jan 2011 06:31 PM PST I have a site rankin 2nd/3rd for a keyword that receives 12k exact searches/month. 1st is wikipedia 2nd are youtube results 3rd is my page ranking 3rd i receive 8k impressions in searches/month (according to webmaster tools) but only receive 200-300 clicks. Wikipedia is killing my traffic, how can I out rank this page?? Surely it cannot be impossible? |

I send my traffic with articles marketing and blogs, with search engine traffic. In the past 14 days here are my basic stats: Hops: 1440 Sales: 6 Profit: $159.94 I used to do much better than this. Economic situation around the world have to do with this? Is anyone doing a lot better conversion wise? Maybe I'm just in a terrible drought. I was thinking if I could get 500 hops a day I'd be golden, but now I'm not so sure. Any feedback is appreciated. I know I didn't provide much info, just trying to see if others are having similar problems with bum marketing. |

| Posted: 16 Jan 2011 05:15 PM PST I suggest the forum staff do not give negative rep for people posting in conversations in the "Forum Suggestions & Feedback" section. It's really stupid to invite Members to have a conversation on how the forum might be improved, and then subject them to some fake, make-believe punishment for doing just that. It says something about a Membership that would tolerate this and something about the Staff that would do it. Also deleting threads with no comment or explanation. By what standard does this happen? If a Member has no idea why a thread could be deleted, then why would they invest the time & effort into creating one? So, threads do not get created, there is less of interest for new people to participate in and forum participation dies. And the money dies with it. How stupid is that? |
| Posted: 16 Jan 2011 05:07 PM PST A few months back I suggested the best thing to do was set up a website for email extractor, then grab the emails they bring to our site to extract, well, I found a site that has all the email lists people bring it that they are trying to extract from. here is the site and a nice starting point December alone had almost 5k lists. All told, there are maybe 50k lists for 2010 you have access to, each list has 20-20k addesses. Some are dupes, like scrapes from Facebook mafia wars add me pages. Si have at it. It also has lists with name, dob, phone, address, email, ip. |

I was watching the ball game and cleaning up my email account by unsubscribing from all the shitload of spam emails that I don't remember subscribing to in the first place. To unsubscribe to most of them I had to type in my email address. After doing this several times I got to thinking about some of the threads I have read about framing email submit offers. Just made me think about what if you put an unsubscribe link in an email that went to an iframed email submit offer. Maybe make the unsubscribe link more prominent than the fine print at the bottom of the page. Since this is blackhat shit why not just send an email saying that they can permanently unsubscribe from all spam emails by using the master unsubscribe thingy in your email. Now I personally do not have the knowledge, the skill, or the nerve to try this. If caught you will be banned and may have any number of actions taken against you. But I know that there are some members here that have the ability to pull this off. Just wanted to throw this out there as an idea and hear some thoughts...I don't do it and wouldn't suggest attempting it unless you know how to really cover your ass. |

All of the visitors appear to be legit (I know they are not, some show a referrer, some don't. Many from different proxies (I know they are proxies) from comcast, Verizon, quest, windstream etc. The user agent is spoofed and appears to be normal. They get a few pages and then come back in through another IP. Since there is no single identifying factor in the user-agent or a common IP, etc. How can I prevent others from scraping my hard work? I use htaccess / php site. |

They show you how to use as it as a reverse marketing system to strike up conversations with people blah blah blah - PAIN IN THE ***!! I want to just sell the click and be done with it - buy it or move on.. I've also been called on spamming quite often by people - although the scraper will give you the exact page source of where the e-mail was pulled from. I don't know if this saves you or not... But, what is everything I need to be in full operation - blasting 1000s of emails a day without a care in the world? Frustrating having such a powerful tool while being too scared to use it. Now I decided to make money by Youtube. I am going to use the money to buy music-featurings (some national famous musicians want like 1000-5000$ for a featuring. | 500 Facebook Friends + Sexy Model + Wordpress site = ? Posted: 16 Jan 2011 01:17 PM PST Hey Everyone. I hope you can benefit from this post and also contribute to it as well. I have a facebook page with about 500 confirmed friends. I basically just auto added them. I haven't really posted anything on my wall or sent them any messages or anything. So the account appears pretty stagnant I guess. I have like 2 generic pictures on the site. No pictures of the actual model. I have an attractive model friend and I also have a word press page with a webcam plug in. My objective is to inform all of my facebook friends that we will be having a LIVE Webcam "webinar" event on the website and they can watch and chat with the model for free during the webinar. I plan to monetize this by putting up a content gateway on the wordpress site, so if members want to see the sexy model on the webcam, they will have to complete an offer. That's the easy part. The hard part is priming the facebook friends and preparing them to come to my site. If I just make one post telling them to come to the site, they will think its fake, etc. I am thinking pictures and videos work well on the walls, because guys will be quick to click on pictures and videos so that might be one way to attract the audience. What are some other ways I can make this idea a success and get the most amount of people on my wordpress site? All suggestions are greatly appreciated! |

I have been a member of this forum for a while, but have yet to REALLY participate. I usually just search around for different IM topics and downloads. (sad i know) However, I'm not totally idol. I started making amazon review sites back in December '10, but its a slow process.(getting them to rank organically) So....here's my issue. I've kinda fallen on tough times and need to come up with a substantial amount of money($4000) by the end of March. I plan to keep on making review sites and trying to get them to rank on google, but there has to be something I can do to make this amount of money by the end of March. So there it is, I'm hoping to tap into this valuable resource that is BHW and hopefully some of the more experienced IM'ers can help me out. I am open to anything.
