Seems that suggestions are also down even if you are an admin.

From your guys' experience, which has a better conversion ratio (for a physical product), a long sales letter or a sales site?

I know people have had success doing both and I was trying to decide which strategy to adopt.

When I joined BHW a couple years back, I wasn't an absolute newcomer to the field of IM, I had sold a couple websites before joining here, and I joined mostly because I was trying to get some info on running a GPT site.

What I found along with that info, was something else completely. People on here were talking about "leads", after a little reading, I realized that most of these leads were coming from classified sites. I didn't really do too much with this until about a year later. Of course if I had started emailing leads and using posting on classified sites when I first joined, I would probably have my mortgage paid off by now. As it stands, since Ive started, Ive made in the mid 5 figure range, not too shabby for sporadic work by any means.

I'm going to share how I did this for 2 reasons, first, I am in the lead generation business, I sell leads, or rather the email account with the leads in them, guaranteed 100% fresh, and I am definitely looking for more customers. The second reason is because its basically because of here that I can work from home and concentrate on getting my own computer repair business going, its because of the people, and since I received plenty of help, Im more than willing to give help back, even if you aren't a customer.

To really make money with leads, you need to be able to write a good response. There is a pretty popular method right now that deals with people looking for a job, you get a job lead in, send them an email saying you need to them to fill out a credit report to make sure you aren't a threat to the company, and then you'll probably get an interview.

I've seen someone use an auto-responder that basically says "Thank you for applying, due to the massive number of resumes, we need to thin the herd by making sure you aren't a liability to the company please fill out this credit report and we will get right back to you". On about 1000 leads, I saw him get around 200 clicks, and I think 7 or 8 conversions. Back in the day when 1000 leads cost around $30, even on 7 conversions, he made a profit of around $150. Good for sure, but not great. Someone else I know did something similar, except he set the first auto responder to send a message delayed by about 6 hours, they would then reply to that message, which would get sent to a different inbox, and it would hit another delayed auto responder, this time with the same message that my friend had about needing to fill out a credit report. The results were something like 200 clicks, 20 conversions, over $400 in pure profit, just because of one little tweak, making the conversation more believable.

That is what you need to do, mix a realistic situation in with a little bit of personality, and you get something that turns out great.

I will even give you my personal method that I used to use. It deals with automotive leads, and its something that you may not have seen on here before. With automotive leads, there are several different offers you can use to make money. You have auto insurance, auto loans, new car quotes, and auto warranties. Once you have the lead, all you really have to do is say something like "Hey, I understand you are wanting this car, you need to have auto insurance before you can drive it though, check this site out (affiliate link here) see what kind of rate you can get" or something a little more generic like "I see you are looking for a car right now, you can check out this site here (affiliate link) to see how much an actual new car might cost you". There are 4 different ways you can hit each lead, so why not hit each lead 4 times? The average rate of those 4 methods is around $6-7 per action. If each offer converts at 1%, you're looking to get, at minimum, around $240, I sell automotive leads at $100/k, $140 profit right there, even more if you can get your own leads.

Why don't I do this myself? Basically because I run an automotive website, and I make plenty without having my CPA accounts put at risk. All lead generation techniques with classified sites can potentially put your cpa accounts at risk, but if you don't link directly to a classified ad, and use only email approved offers, you will almost certainly be ok.

With these 2 tips, I tripled my sales on Fiverr. They are the most common sales tactics from ebook/video course landing pages, and they kill on Fiverr.

1st: When creating a a gig, always have a higher value/price stated in the description. Tell people "the price is going to be $29.95" when you launch your official site. If people see a dollar amount much higher than $5, they KNOW they are getting a great deal.

and this leads to my second tip...

2nd: Tell people its a limited offer. Tell them the gig will only be up for 48 hours, then removed forever because you "can't afford to give away this service to everyone for such a low price". Or tell them you "can only offer it to the first 10 people who order due to the high quality of the service".

Example:

I will tweet your message to all my followers for $5.

I registered a bunch of domains earlier turns out that some of them were used from what I can assume is malware as they are requesting files that I would not consider normal.

Looks like they are requesting configuration files or looking for commands

Anyway the traffic is off the chart... I would estimate at the current rate of hits to our servers you are looking at around a few hundred thousand a day.. the IP addresses are from all over the world so far.

I have a notepad of raw data that when I import into Excel looks like this:

Email, First Name, Last Name, Email, First Name, Last Name, etc...

It's all on one loooong row and needs to be sorted into 3 columns. Can anyone tell me what function to use in Excel for this?

When I try to suggest friends to my fan page it doesn't work at all. If I go to other fan pages it works. My page has my app added on. I have even tried creating a new fan page and added a new app and still same thing. Any one have any ideas to what is going on?

edit: It looks like the box tries to appear then turns into a grey line. This has been going on for a month and I have realized how many friend invite packages I have probably been scammed on. I have tried inviting from a regular IP and a proxy. But on both I can invite on other pages. Maybe facebook limits everything that is pulled from my server IP? My app pulls information from my server.

I'm tired of the recycled s*** that keeps going around. I'm fairly new to IM and every time i find something that sounds remotely interesting, I find out that it has been around since 2007 and ceases to make money anymore. Sure you might say that if it's being recycled, that it does in fact make money, but every damn post i see is about how it doesn't work anymore. The worst part is, most ideas that I come up with myself, turns out they have been already beaten to death by people 8 steps a head of me. So i guess my question is, what generalized money making methods are still feasible in 2011?

About two months ago I had a firm grasp of general SEO concepts, but didn't understand how to speed up (or even automate) the link building process with useful programs, services and methodologies. Thanks to BHW, I feel like I've progressed more in that span than I did the previous 12 months.

Now what I'm trying to wrap my head around is how to manage all the accounts that you create (forums, article directories, blog websites, etc.). I currently use Excel to manage my important accounts that I use on a weekly basis, however is it useful to keep even more account information than that?

For instance, if you do a forum blast, do you keep account info for each profile if you want to manually post something on a related forum, or add websites to your profile pages down the road? How about websites where you need to register to post blog comments - do you guys have 100's of accounts that you manually use to post?

What I'm trying to best figure out is how to manage my time in terms of manual link building vs. url harvesting and automation - particularly when it comes to brand new domains as opposed to aged ones.

I have one blogspot blog that has been up for about a year and a half - made me $100 in the first couple of months but rankings slipped and I had to focus my efforts on school so I'm just beginning to get back into the swing of things.

I figure this site is a perfect opportunity to scale up the link building efforts a bit since it's been around and ranked fairly well for almost two years. It has almost no blog comment links or forum links so that is what I'm working on now with $crapebox. However, I don't want to push too hard with a couple of domains that I bought within the past two months.

I've been writing a lot of articles lately, mostly SEO type articles that concentrate on keyword density. I've singed up to textbroker but I'm waiting for them to finish reviewing my first 5 articles before I can write more. I know people used to make some good money on AC before they tightened up their acceptance policy and I've thought of joining that too.

Do they still offer up front payment? What does it take to have your article qualify for this type of payment? I think it would be fun to be able to write articles on topics I have a real interest in but I don't want to waste my time if they won't be accepted for upfront payments. I'm really more interested in making money than anything else.

No idea how I did it, but one of my accounts now has over 5k friends... I was using a grease monkey friend admin script to accept request. Somehow it broke the 5k mark. Can't go any higher, already tried.

My wife of almost 11 years recently told me she thinks of me as her best friend, but she doesn't love me as a husband anymore. I would do anything to save this marriage, but she doesn't want to try anything. She's refusing counseling. She says she's felt this way for a few years but she's been hoping it would pass. There's no fighting or tension between us. We will probably always be good friends. We both agree that the children will always come first.

I've already been taking steps to protect myself and my rights as a father. I've told her that I'm not moving out. She can if she wants to. We've already agreed to joint custody. She doesn't want any child support or alimony. She knows I'll always take care of my children. And I will. They come first, always. I've also told her that as part of the divorce, I want it in writing that neither one of us can move out of state with the children unless the other one agrees to it.

In the beginning, she promised me there wasn't another man. One day I noticed Yahoo IM on the computer, I knew right away what that meant. I did some digging and found the logs to her chats. But I didn't confront her. I did some other stuff and got more proof.

The craziest thing is, the guy she's been chatting with lives in the UK. We live in the USA. When i finally confronted her, I basically told her how stupid this relationship they've been having is. She's got a family here, he has a son there. Why bother continuing. I made it very clear to her that if she ever wanted to move there, the kids wouldn't be coming with her.

I don't want to screw her over. I'm not that type of guy. Shes in my life forever because of the kids, so we might as well get along.

But now I'm more motivated than ever to succeed online. I want to make enough money to quit my job and do this full-time. I want to make enough money to take the kids on vacations. I want her and her pathetic loser boyfriend to realize what she gave up!

So instead of continuing to let this get me down, it's time I let this empower me!

I need to find Wordpress, or other platform blogs in specific languages, for example German, Spanish, etc...

I'm trying by adding "powered by wordpress" in the SB's footprint field. I don't specify any keywords (because any topic is ok) and I added google.es (Spain) to Googles list.

I hit "start harvesting" and get no results...

I also tried adding some generic keywords (news, politics, etc) to the keywords field but got very few results.

Before I came to BHW B&S iPhones usually for two hundred to three hundred and *sent away* for three fifty to four hundred, depending on how hard I could milk it, doing two a day, you can do the math. Too many people got into that business then came Verizon's Droid and the explosion of popularity in android OS. That seemed to cut the amount of people *taking in* in half. While the number of merchants rose exponentially. I got out of the whole shin dig, but my friend moved on to iPads. Now (current day) he is pretty much done *sending away* iPads because he has to spend three or four hours looking for a iPad now for his desired cost (two fifty for sixteen gb; three hundred for thirty two gb; and three fifty for sixty four gb) he can still find them, but only one a day and sometimes not even that. Things might be different where you are so I figure I'll let you guys in on that. Some people really do *send away* iPads for those prices, don't ask me why because a simple check on ebay could tell you that you can easily sell those for five fifty to seven fifty each. Spend some time searching craiglist in your area I guess, you might have better luck, but I doubt you'll be able to do it for much longer.
