I installed the Sony Vegas 10 trial and ran it through TimeStopper so the trial period never expired. It worked perfectly. The only requirement was that the app was started through the shortcut created by TimeStopper.

I was working on a project last night. In my frustration, I clicked the Vegas project file which launched the app and of course was notified the trial had expired. Aaargh!!!

I am wondering if there is a way to completely uninstall Sony Vegas 10 so I can do a clean install once again. Any help and support is appreciated.

What do you guys consider as an average conversion rate with your affiliate programs? If I remember rreading correctly isn't it 1-2%? This morning I have been tweaking a real estate wordpress site of my friend and noticed there are some comments posted which are irrelevant to the news articles. So I researched on how to reduce the spam in the comment section. Some of you already know this simple method but hopefully someone who is just starting a new wordpress site might find this useful.

The 2Wire modem you have is not the current one that AT&T has, so I'll only speak about the current one 2701HG-B.

There are at least 2-4 ways to change IP address with an AT&T DSL modem.

1) The simplest way is to unplug and plug your modem - 2 min restart and new IP
2) Also, you can log into the modem interface 192.168.1.254 ( this is the IP of my router, yours maybe different) and then go to "Systems>View Details>Restart Modem) - takes 2 min or so, you can create a script for it.
3) Then there are several ways of resetting it through "service" menus that are hidden for average user and are run off 2wire web site.

I cannot put URLs here, so PM me and I'll give you a couple of links that you can script and automate or do it manually.

I am considering developing a service which I feel the CL community would appreciate. Since you guys would end up being my target audience, I wanted to hear your feedback on the idea.

How would you guys like a webmail service which had a delayed autoresponder built into the functionality?

This would be a paid service once it was developed and exited the beta testing stage.

Clients would have the ability to create one or multiple email accounts, depending upon the clients desired usage. The client could establish an autorespond message to be sent at a predetermined time after an inbound email was received (for example, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes etc after somebody sent you an email, an autoresponse would sent).

The webmail service would allow for multiple triggered autoresponses to be sent. For example, the first time the client received an email, autoresponse number 1 would be sent. If the potential customer responded again, a second and different autoresponse would be triggered once again at a predetermined time frame.

The client could also establish autoresponses to be set within certain timeframes. For example only between certain hours of the day, so that autoresponses only are sent during business hours, or whatever hours of the day that the client configured the system to send the autoresponse.

This would eliminate an autoresponse being triggered in the middle of the night, or weekends.

This service would be created with CL posters in mind as my main potential customer base, so you would know that you are dealing with a service which understood, and was sympathetic to the CL poster's needs.

This would obviously eliminate the dreaded immediate response which all current autoresponders offer, which is a dead giveaway to the fact that the response is automated instead of a live man-made response.

I could implement some professional looking templates as well as part of the service, so that the autoresponse emails look professional.

What do you guys think about this idea? If I build it, and the functionality of the service works properly, would you be interested? I have listed the main functions which I feel are of the greatest value to the average CL poster, but feel free to offer up any suggestions that you feel might improve this offering.

Hi. I've been sending emails to CL for a few years. Everything works great with huge conversion rate (send emails-received replies), until December last year when I think they added some content filters because the conversion rate becomes lower(half of what it used to be).
I said ok, if CL is adapting I'll adapt too. They improve their content filter , I'll improve my content generator.

The big problem started 3 days ago when I see the lowest conversion rate.

So.. I needed to start slowly and create a new test and see where is the the big problem.

So here what I used for the test:
I've created 10 posts, and I used 100 fresh gmail accounts.
I used gmail because they don't send the ip in the email header so I could ignore the proxy/ip blocking problem.
The test was simple send 100 email to those 10 posts (every post will receive 10 emails).

Test 1.
I used my content generator and send 100 emails.
Results for test 1: 100 emails send --> 20 emails received --> conversion: 1:5( 1 email received from 5 send)

Test 2.
I used some random strings in the content and subject (eg: dhaskdak hdakjsd afpdoiwef)
every email subject having a random of 3-5 words containing random characters.
every email body having a radom 25-35 words containing random characters.
Result for test2: 100 emails send --> 45 emails received --> conversion:
1:2.22( 1 email received from 2.22 send)


My thoughts:
I think CL has some random blocking emails algorithm implemented since I Know that my content(test2) was 100% unique(those words not even exists) , I didn't used any link in the email, ip is not send b gmail.



So my question is do you know other methods that CL can block your content, and do you face the situation in the last 2-3 days?

If you have access to US proxies and cannot post on CL in those sections you want without PVAs, I'd recommend you see if you can post something in the sections that *do* allow postings without PVAs and see if you can generate some $$$ from that first. Once you do you can buy forwarding ##s.

I don't post nationally, but locally and only in one section, so I cannot help you with that. I am sure there are many people on this forum who give you tips on sections of CL that don't require PVAs.

I have seen ads get flagged in 1-2 min and don't think it is administrative flagging by CL. 1-2 flags often will do the trick even on brand new PVAs.

I have had this happen to me with the same old URL I was using though I have very heavy tokenized ads.

It must be some footprint you are leaving.

I am of course pretty new to this forum, and to the whole online money making 'scene' generally. None the less I have found it very interesting, if not somewhat overwhelming, reading through all the different posts and forums.

I find myself in a situation where I am very eager to make some money online. I am particularly interested if this could be somewhat passive in nature. I have some okay web design skills. I can knock together adequate sites with CSS, PHP, jquery, etc, and am getting pretty nifty with photoshop (although there is still plenty of room for improvement in all areas listed). Although this is all good fun for me, the only money I am making from that is doing little side projects for people, or making websites for small businesses. Even that is pretty sporadic. Since web design is not my main job (although I hope for it to be one day) it does not make that much money when comparing time invested vs income. Also, I want to quit my main job, and either do something more applicable to my skills, or work for myself. Either way, to do that I need to get more clued up with online money making.

My knowledge on things like SEO, affiliate marketing, etc is pretty limited, but I am slowly working through various books on it. I can also see that there are many different avenues to earning money online. I need to look into one particular area and decide on that. This will no doubt take a few months of just 'lurking' and experimenting to get a good lay of that land. Site flipping seems quite promising, but it's still early days.

None the less, I am under no illusions which I know many noobs can get sucked into. I know that whatever I choose is going to be hard work, and it will no doubt be quite a while before I start to see any real profits, but its an investment I am willing to take. I don't want to be one of those over-enthusiastic suckers, who thinks they can earn thousands over night straight away.

Anyway, thats enough of my life story. I have loads of respect for all the guys who run and participate in this forum, so I thought I would introduce myself before I sink into 'lurker/asking dumb noob questions' mode.

Here is the deal. As I posted in another thread (http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...t-promote.html), I have promoted adult using Adwords since 2004.

All was going well until my sponsor decided to sneak into the ToS that any card detected as pre-paid will automatically convert the sale from "Pay Per Sale" to "Revshare", in addition, weekly sale bonuses won't count towards those sales.

The first wave was fine, this happened around Jan and I noticed it happen 3-4 times a month tops. A month ago almost to the day, they decided to use an even harder scrub on these cards which resulted in a loss of roughly 60-70% of my sales. It may be even worse as I re-started this week to test it out, and 80% of my sales were rejected. I wasn't doing a thing wrong, haven't changed my traffic, keywords or landing page in months, and sending sales to the same site for about 5 years now. I didn't scam, I didn't push a "sign up and then cancel" routine, so to slip this in and not tell people was shitty.

Ok, with that out of the way, they were one of the more trusted companies in adult, so now I am apprehensive about starting a new campaign anywhere else at this point. That leads me to where I am now.. a few hundred in CC payments due a month with next to no income except for the 100 or so I make from my blog network so far :(

I need to essentially 're-start' my adwords campaign with little left on my credit card balance to play with, so I need to do it right. Here are my current steps:

1. Create a new account with as much of an opening balance as I can find. Right now I am looking at https://services.google.com/fb/forms/yourbusiness/ , if I get that, will a $100 coupon stack?

2. Somehow find a new product to promote either regular or adult - this is the very hard part as I haven't a clue where to even look in non-adult.

3. Since I'll have a padding, increase my CPC at a rate much higher than the 0.07c I'm used to so I can earn CTR which helps QS. Slowly bring it down.

4. Profit?

I mostly need help with steps 1 and 2. Does a coupon stack with that offer? If so, does anyone have a nice $100 they can slip me as charity?

As far as finding a product, can people tell me (or pm me) what works for them? I obviously don't expect specifics by any means, more of a nudge in the right direction. This may be even asking too much, but like I said in the other thread, I don't even know if I should push products, software, e-mail requests, etc.

I'm in "Furniture For Sale (By Dealer)" and will lose several ads within the time space of 1 ~ 2 minutes.

Competitors can't make this happen, not the 1 ~ 2 minute thing anyway.....that's how I know it has to be someone with Admin power. I know this because in the past I've used software to flag (I know cuss away, but that's for another discussion).

Anyway, for this to happen it has to be an Admin, but they are leaving one or two stores ads alone and wiping everyone else out, not really fair. Wah...wah...wah...right?
