"Twitter is Rejecting Your Tweet"

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 08:49 PM PDT

Anyone else encounter this while using wait & reply with TA?

Is it my accounts being blocked or are my tweets not unique enough?

Is twitter picking up on certain keywords and blocking them?

Thanks in advance for the help

Relationship Advice

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 08:44 PM PDT

Which would be your preferred source of receiving relationship advice? Basically who would you rather listen to, read books, or just take advice from.....

(A) A good looking female relationship "guru"

or

(B) A good looking guy relationship "guru"

Is there a reason you would prefer one over the other?

Can I Sink Negative Information with Duplicate Content

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 08:19 PM PDT

Hi,

I own a company that has recently been smeared by a highly search engine friendly consumer complaint website. I used to work in SEO, but not for awhile and not for long. During that time period I learned that if duplicate URLs form my site were indexed that both/every one of those pages would perform worse in SERPs for relevant keywords. I took that experience and used it to sign up for the site and create a duplicate post (both duplicate title & article text), but since then the original has gone up in SERPs while the other has been creeping up.

My current strategy to avoid paying the site to remove the so called rip off is to submit an identical report at least once a week so that over time Google will penalize all version of the report on that site for duplicate content. Will that work or have I been out of the game for too long and Google has adjusted to only penalize duplicates instead of the original even if the same site appears to be spamming the same content?

Damage report --- the effects of sweeps on CL

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 08:09 PM PDT

OK, I might be more of a knowledge ( data ) nerd than most but I thought I would share this tidbit.

Since January of this year, the average life of a post in the sections that I participate has gone from 6 minutes to 15 to 16 minutes average from 9am to 5pm local posting time ( the time zone relevant to the post )

I have been able to confirm the average via 2 sources:

A) Every week, I sample by hand about 50 posting location, I check the top post and the bottom post, write down the time difference.

B) every post I make has a tracking ID, every time that id loads, I get an IP and a time stamp. there is a noticeably huge difference from once it falls from front page to second page. and it's confirmed as a statistical significance change when I run it on my spread sheet.

Now given, both methods have problems ( my issues since I like very clean data ) but when you compile the data over time, and your post are sticking longer to first page and you have correlating results ( leads generated, phone call ringing, money earned ) there has to be something to this.

Therefor I ask other users to look around and see if they see changes.

Also another weird but revenue generation note: a post ( a single post no more than 1 ) done at 3am local posting time, stays on for a real long time and generates a shit load of clicks to your landing page. Weird as heck but it's automatic now after months of thinking someone was screwing with me and or my data was completely screwed up.

I hope this helps in putting knowledge into your head that might be useful in putting 2 + 2 from odd sources.

any views welcome, and ideas shared are profits for all.

Hiring a Programmer and Online Quizing?

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 08:01 PM PDT

Hey am in the process of hiring a developer. However, I want to make sure they are good as they claim to be. As we all know people can get a little big headed at times. That said, what would be the best way to quiz them?

I remember one time I went applied for a job years ago. They put me on this computer and had me take a 30 minute test. I'm wondering if there is something already out there like that for PHP / MySQL developers. That we can install on our server and have them take it?

Qucik Scrape Box Question

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 07:59 PM PDT

I had quick question about scrapebox. say I downloaded a proxy list and a "auto approve blog list" and want to skip the harvesting steps. Can I simply just "load proxies" and open "blog lists" and load and then enter my comment info and then be good to go? all the tutorials Ive watch assume you're harvesting keywords and urls.

Choosing Category in Bookmarking Demon

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 07:57 PM PDT

How do you select the default category?

Do you have to manually visit each site first?

I have around 2000 Pligg sites in the database. Even if I only go after those with page rank, it's a lot of sites to go through by hand.

Isn't there at least some semi-automated way? Am I missing something?

Beta testers needed

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 07:43 PM PDT

Hi all, I have just about finished writing some software which is alot like scrapebox but more geared towards customization and targets guestbooks / blogs. e.g the ones that have not already been raped by Scrapebox

There are a few videos of the software in action here

Overview of the software

Posting using the software

It has a built in
- Search engine scraper
- Proxy finder
- Url searcher (Find keywords inside a set of saved urls)
- Platform poster

I need around ten beta-testers who will be available within the next week or so to do some testing.

It's a Windoze only app (sorry guys) and has currently been tested against Windows Vista / Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.

Beta testers will get a free license when I release it for those who provide feedback to me about crashes etc.

This is version 1.2 so there will definately be room for improvements (I already have a few ideas) so it will be more about getting it stable and training new platforms then adding new features.

Finally, please do not contact me if you *are not serious about testing the software*, If you do not have the time / cannot be bothered, please do not contact me!

At&t dsl modem question

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 07:34 PM PDT

Generally I unplug and replug my modem to get a new I.P. address. Somebody suggested changing your I.P. by using the http://192.168.1.254 method which works great. I was just wondering if AT&T notices this more than me unplugging and replugging? I don't want AT&T to cancel my service because I'm changing my I.P. so often.

[JV] Need someone for SEO on an insanely profitable site

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 06:42 PM PDT

Hi guys,

I had a site that was making me $800 - $1k/day easily in March with only around 11k visitors per day and only 70% of them US visitors. Unfortunately, some people caught on, and there is now competition and I'm not good enough at SEO to compete. There is competition, but overall it's still a pretty easy keyword to rank for. I just can't.

I have a hyphenated exact match domain name that has around 4 months of age and around 30 unique articles on it. I've done some excessive backlinking on it so it's definitely established, but it's on page 4 for the main keyword and page 3 for the other, minor keyword.

I'm looking for someone to rank this site. I will give you the keywords and the source to the site - you can make any revisions you want and then I will upload it.

Rev share will be 20% me, 80% you. $2k/day is easy if you are able to get the first position for two specific keywords. Even 2nd or 3rd position will still get $700 - $800/day at this point. I get paid weekly with a 2 day wait on earnings, I will pay you within 24 hours of getting paid.

Other notable things

- The monetization method is blackhat. Not illegal, but definitely blackhat.
- The network is 100% OK with the traffic. I ran over $20k to them with this site in March/April (before I dropped rank)
- The advertiser is 100% OK with the traffic. I have asked my AM to confirm with them multiple times and they are always OK with it.
- I am located in the US.
- I can pay you in pretty much any way you want.
- Everything we earn is 100% profit. No expenses whatsoever in running the site besides bandwidth.

Drop me a PM if you're interested and we can talk more. This is truly one of those "jackpot" keywords - I originally anticipated this site would make me $10 - $20/day even at #1 position.

I will probably want proof of you being able to rank for a competitive keyword unless I know you.

Redirect question, will i get banned?

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 06:35 PM PDT

Hi,

I have many articles posted all over the web for amazon products that were sent to a redirect file and then directly to amazon.

Amazon wasn't converting as well as I would like.

I wanted to see if I could earn more with Adsense. But I don't want to risk my 8 year old Adsense account.

QUESTION, If I send the visitors through the redirect file to a post on my wordpress blog that has adsense on it will I banned?

I'm not asking anyone to click, it's just a regular wp blog that has adsense ads and google search boxes.

TIA

is there a tool to scan files on mediafire or other sharedfile services

Yeah, just wondering if anyone knows of a tool or bot that can scan the files stored on sites like mediafire and tell how many times those files have been downloaded?

Forums that have archive

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 06:12 PM PDT

you know how sometimes when you do a google search, you get a forum thread as a result and its in archive form, with all hyperlinks disabled. Is it worth getting a backlink from these forums that have this archive thing being it seems that all outbound links pretty much get disabled?

Scrapebox: 200K Posts Per Day?

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 06:06 PM PDT

I have an aged website and I'm attempting to bomb it with Scrapebox with 200K+ links per day but I'm not sure if my setup is capable of this.

My setup:

Scrapebox on VPS with 1GB RAM/1000GB bandwidth

10 Private Proxies from YPP

25 Connections

I am noticing that a lot of the time the connections will top out at 25 for about a minute and then slowly drop to 1 over the next few minutes causing posting to virtually halt until a couple minutes later. Is this normal?

Memory load is consistently around 80%, not sure if that matters

Is there anything I need to change to be able to post 200K+ links per day at the fastest rate possible?

Would this require a new VPS (with more RAM) or even a Dedi?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[HELP] Question about cloacked websites traffic

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 06:01 PM PDT

Hello

I'm having a main website for example mainwebsitecom hosted with different branches.

mainwebsitecom/site1
mainwebsitecom/site2
etc

I also bought another domain named for example secondwebsitecom and i have redirected this one towards mainwebsitecom/site2 and selected cloacked redirect so when i go to secondwebsitecom it will show me the mainwebsitecom/site2 but keeping the secondwebsitecom domain address.

Now i want to ask according to alexa traffic and site traffic.

If i access the secondwebsitecom will traffic be registered for this domain or for mainwebsitecom/site2 (where the secondwebsite cloacked redirects) ?

Or traffic will be separate if i access secondwebsitecom and directly it's forward mainwebsitecom/site2 ?

Thank you in advance

400$ up for grabs

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 05:56 PM PDT

Hi everyone I just wanted to let you know about a very good opportunity to win 400 dollars. Basically my friend is launching a new social networking website to help people achieve their goals. As part of the launch he is offering $400 to one randomly chosen member who joins the site (winner is going to be picked july 7th). He is also paying me $400 dollars if i refer the winning member.

How to win the $400
- go to thebestclubever.org
-fill out all the information honestly
-make sure to put Daily OC as the person who refereed you to be eligible for the $400 prize

Reasons to join
-only about 30 people have joined the site so far which makes your chances really good at winning
- my friend holding this contest is legit and has given out hundreds of dollars in the past.
- he is not making a single dime by holding this contest.. he truly wants to help people achieve their goals

Thanks and Gl

Some noob questions

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 05:26 PM PDT

Hi,
So I came across this website today and after reading countless amounts of threads, I decided to sign up, but I am confused.

Firstly, what is a CPA? What does it do and what does it mean?
Next, I read that people set up websites with CPA links in which they earn money from. How does this work? How can I set this up? Is there any in-depth tutorial guides? (noob friendly of course).

Thanks for any help.

[Method] Make easy money with twitter for noobs, No inital investment!

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 05:04 PM PDT

Hey guys this is my first tutorial so don't be to harsh :) I am going to show you how to make easy money with twitter with no initial investment.

Note: I am only in the early stages of this method myself, so i can not promise anything. It is just an idea that i thought would be worth sharing.

METHOD OVERVIEW
You are going to use the free version of tweetattacks to gain 1000 followers in a twitter account. You are then going to submit that account to Sponsored Tweets. Once you start accumulating some cash from sponsored tweets, you are going to invest in Fivver gigs offering to get you more followers on twitter. More followers is equal to a higher cash value per tweet on Sponsored tweets.

METHOD
1. Download the free version of tweet attacks, simply go to the tweet attacks website and there is an option to download the free version. This version is limited to 5 twitter accounts, but will work just fine for our needs.

2. Create a new twitter account and add it to the tweet attacks program. Do not follow anyone yet, let the account age for 3 days or so, then start following people 200 at a time every other day. Wait a couple days then unfollow those who did not follow you back. Take it slow to prevent your account from being banned.

3. Continue to do this until your account has accumulated 1000 followers. This should take anywhere from a week to 2 weeks.

4. Once your account has a 1000 followers, sign up for sponsored tweets. My suggested rate per tweet with a 1000 followers was $1.03 and i received 5 offers within the first couple of days of signing up.

5. Once you have accumulated $7 bucks in your sponsored tweets account, withdraw the money. You will be charged a $2 dollar early withdrawal fee, if you would like to avoid this fee wait until your account has at least $50 in it although with only 1000 followers that might take awhile.

6. Use the money earned from sponsored tweets and invest it in fivver gigs that will get you 1000-2000 followers for $5.

7. Once you receive your followers adjust your sponsored tweets rate accordingly.

8. Keep doing this until you have a substantial amount of followers, and are earning big $$$ on sponsored tweets.

Note: T0mmy had a great point, to sign up with sponsored tweets you must have 100 tweets and your account must be 60 days old. You can try this method with any other paid to tweet service like twtmob, Magpie etc.. Although i have only had experience with Sponsored Tweets.

How do you find links?

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 05:04 PM PDT

What is your preferred method to finding quality links with CJ.com? I'm going to be trying to work this with PPC / Adwords, but no clue where to really start.

If you were to try and find a new site to promote in cj, how would you do it? Sort by 3 month EPC, 7 day? Specific category? Are there any tricks like seeing a 7 day EPC lower than a 3 month EPC means a declining site?

Any help you guys can give would be appreciated!

Faking referrer 100% ... possible ?

Is it include this name in the domain?

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 04:10 PM PDT

I am wondering would it be a copyright violation to include this name in the domain name that I intend to purchase. "Sunday Paper"

Would there be a copyright issue?

I got the following information from wikipedia

The Sunday Paper is the name of a discount website for cultural and entertainment events, places, and happenings. Previously, it had been a weekly newspaper published in Atlanta, Georgia[1] which focused on news, culture and entertainment. The publication served a clientele less partial to the counterculture flavor of competing journals.

YT & TAGS - what is your opinion

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 03:46 PM PDT

Seriously....I've read on a @*&^% ton of forums, ebooks and whatnots about tags...

Most of the time the info I read is that it is best to fill up the tags to the max

HOWEVER - I see videos with like 4-5 tags with over 1 milion views and virtually NO DESCRIPTION.

The TAG TO THE MAX concept seems to be somewhat off (I THINK?)

I would like to know what you think

I imagine in certain context it would be best to have less and others more?

Noobie BH SEO Question

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 03:44 PM PDT

So I've been getting way more involved and plan on stepping up my game. I currently do some manual link building, blasts, and a few other things to my moneysite. My question now is I see the smartest way is to have alternative sites that link to your main site.

So do you buy a separate hosting account with different IP addresses from your main site...than set up websites that forward to your money site. Than blast those sites?

Sort of confused on how this is done? Or do you set up legitimate sites that just have a TON of back links to your money site?

Thanks!

Sales Tax In Host Computer State

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 03:31 PM PDT

Recently, Yahoo announced that Texas was considering a bill that would require vendors with online businesses hosted in Texas to collect and remit state sales tax for sales within Texas (whether the business had a physical presence there or not.) This is noteworthy as all of the Yahoo store servers are located in Texas. As cash-strapped as virtually every U.S. state is, if this bill passes then I predict a flood of states piling on.

This concerns me a lot. Most ecommerce vendors have enough trouble collecting and submitting sales tax on sales into their own state. Having to do this for another state (or several more, if you use servers in several states) would be rough. If they are like Florida, where each county has it's own tax rate and these taxes have to be calculated individually and remitted collectively, it ain't gonna be pretty.

Any thoughts? We have have 8 different ecommerce websites spread across multiple servers and systems here in the USA. However, we're thinking about moving offshore. Being pretty patriotic, I hate to send money/business outside the US, but it seems like our hand is being forced.

Clad Problem! Deletes posts immediately

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 03:24 PM PDT

OK this is the problem I have. I have tried to figure it out and changed everything back to defaults and nothing works. I have clad set up to post an ad. It goes thru everything fine. solves captcha and everything. As soon as it gets to the confirmation page it clears cookies, cache and history then logs back into the account and erases the damn posting IMMEDIATELY! DOESNT EVEN GIVE IT A CHANCE TO GHOST IT OR ANYTHING! I looked on clad but didnt seem to find any help to this topic. I even set rules to only post and dont delete. Tried to make it post in only one city and same thing. No matter what it posts then deletes.

Expiring Domains ranking disappearing

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 03:13 PM PDT

A couple of my domains have been due to expire and I've noticed that whenever it's close to expiration time, the domains that are expiring start to slip in rankings or disappear altogether in the rankings.

Site A:

Registered it a year ago, didn't touch it.

All of a sudden I decide to go ahead with the project. I make a website, blast links and it's sandboxed. I wasn't expecting a year old website to even be playing in the sandbox.

I checked the expiration date, and it expired next week... so 2 days ago I renewed it for another year... I'm waiting to see what happens now that I renewed it... will it come out of the sandbox and play nice?

Site B:

Expires in a couple weeks. Was ranking on first page for main keyword... i haven't backlinked it in months.... all of a sudden it disappears as it's heading to it's expiration date...

I'm wondering out loud.... have you guys ever experienced this?

Web 2.0 and Panda Question

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 03:12 PM PDT

I know after panda alot of the web 2.0 sites and article sites lost tons of rankings. There were a few threads here about the ups and downs of the different sites. There was even a site or two that analyzed them.

I have been searching and searching and can't find the threads or sites. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

KLaAz0r fails to deliver

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 03:12 PM PDT

I found a WSO by KLaAz0r on warrior and decided to take it.

The cost was $78 which I paid immediately and emailed him the details.

His thread promises a 6-9 day turn around.

3 days after I posted and paid, he posts a message saying he didnt see the mails and would get onto it.

Then 6 days later he posts on the wso thread stating that he cant find his paypal email and requires me to pm him my details again, which I did here.

Then I hear nothing for another 5 days before messaging him and asking whats up. Then he says he lost data when his server crashed (im the one doing the chasing and not once was I contacted to say, sorry about the delay but x,y,z) so I resend the info

a few days later, still nothing so I decide that I now want a refund.

So I asked for the refund and he says sure but he will delete the links he created for me (????? so why not just tell me it has been done and show me the proof???)

A day later still no spreadsheet of links or refund so I message him and tell him that I want my refund or I am going to post this message here.

So he tells me that in order to refund me he needs my email address which I have given him now an hour ago and still no refund.

Just a bunch of pm's back and forth asking me what my name is and did I ever send the order through to his email because he didnt get it.

Bollocks, I sent the email twice and sent him the order via PM as well, the PM I sent him 6 days ago is still in my sent items, so a Mod can verify this.

These are clearly delaying tactics. He seems like a respected member why so what the heck ? why delay the refund, and why not contact me if he has problems?

I am not unreasonable and I have given him ample time to resolve the issue.

his turn around promises 6-9 days, I have given him double that, 18 days.

My advice to anyone wanting to do business with KLaAz0r , DON'T!

New - STAY AWAY from Freelancer 6/2011

Posted: 10 Jun 2011 03:12 PM PDT

Hello, I will do my best to just state the facts and reasons to stay away from this new Freelancer policy. First of all, let's start with their policy that they stated when I contacted them and complained :

**************************
Please be aware that under our Terms of Service(Amendment of User Agreement).

Freelancer.com may amend or modify this User Agreement in whole or in part from time to time, without notice, by posting an amended User Agreement on the Site or any linked information. Such updated version of the User Agreement will be effective at the time we post it.
**************************

Now with this in mind (I won't go into the outrageous policy listed above), let's go back in time. Freelancer.com was a great place to post and find workers because of :

1. The refundable project fee. Pretty much for people that do not know, you can pay 5 dollars that's refundable when you : a) pick someone and finish the work or b) you don't find anyone on Freelancer.

Now, with their new updated policy, the option b is not available. As a result, you MUST find someone for your project or you lost 5 bucks. It doesn't sound terrible, but here's the thing with Freelancer.com from years of experience :

1. Most people COPY AND PASTE a message that's barely relevant to your ad
2. Most people do NOT read your description
3. The average (THE AVERAGE not everyone) work skills and credibility is VERY poor on the site

In other words, it's HARD to find someone who fits exactly what you need, and I oftentimes have to re open the project and wait even a week to hire someone decent.

I was so used to reopening a project when I couldn't find someone, and I was shocked when I didn't get a refund to post a new project (which is 5 dollars / project).

I'm not sure what policy was changed in the employee side, but I don't think it's much because I'm still receiving the major spam and useless PMs (I hide 80% of them).

I think there are a lot more policy changes, so I HIGHLY recommend looking at their new policy or policy related to what you normally do on Freelancer.com

I will be staying away from Freelancer.com and using solely other sites such as Elance. If anyone has any other good recommendations, I would love to check it out!

I hope this helped anyone who didn't know about the new policy or were thinking about Freelancer.com

Suggestions on who to use instead of Paypal

PayPal just limited me due to the fact I sell e-cigs on my site. I need to quickly find a replacement merchant. Anyone know a popular, reputable company?

Just looking for a way to automate forms, click links, and buttons for a site of mine.

Any ideas on what I should use? I am thinking about UBot.
