What's happening to my site?

Right now my site is a little over 2 months old. It's a blog with completely original content. I did a smallish xrumer blast mixed to the main site and an inner page about two weeks ago, sprinkling the links out with linklicious.me basic (default setting, which is about 40 links/day). I've also manually done a few high PR .edu and auto-approve comments.

When I search site:mydomain.com the homepage is not listed, but all the inner pages are. If I search for any sentences from the homepage, only the individual blog post's page is found. Several images from pages on my site are in the first page of image search results for my keywords.

This may be basic knowledge, but I'm pretty new to this -- what could be going on here?

Someone wasn't paying attention when they were proofing their PPT. :D

I just got added as an admin of the page "Ipad2 test and keep" from someone thats not even my friend and then it has a pop up keeping you on that page to "test a free ipad". Anyone know the script for this or how to implement it?

just like to know some of your experieces:

how many views you get daily from twiends to your youtube views. since its really matters please add how many seeds you offer and what your settings are.

f.e. 3 seeds, settings: free for everyone, non country targeted

also i would be interested in the droprates you got from facebook fans. my experiences: like half of the fans are gone in the wind even before a week has past :/

So I've had a couple of bad things happened to me today with my website and computer so I have decided to spread some good.

The first person to get the right answer will receive 3 words that get 40 500 exact (not broad) global monthly searches. I will not give this to the advanced internet marketing guys because you guys have enough money already ;)

It is up to you to monetize the website, I don't want to hear any complaints.

Difference between exact/broad Serps Means what?

Ranking 5 for the search term in exact "keyword".
Ranking 40 for the search broad without "".

What does that difference indicate? Offpage SEO aka backlinks?

Are there any things to look for as far as the Gap between them goes? Does it give any "clues"?

A lot of my keywords are like this. Ranking in top 5 exact and 30+ Broad.

With keywords, does it matter about the PPC cost or should I just target low competition, high search volume keywords..

I'm trying to monetize my site off adsense. That being said, I've been using google keyword tool and been finding random Keywords with low competition and been creating "Posts/Pages" on my site to try and perfect the On Site SEO.

Or should I be choosing keywords with high PPC costs for maximizing my earnings?

One example of my keyword is a Girl, famous on the internet, but low competition, around 20k searches global.

I've made a 2.0 Squidoo Lens/2 Youtube Videos and a Page On My money site about her..

Should I be pointing backlinks towards this?

ScrapeBox: Question about extracting URL's

I have ScrapeBox, I've added the ScrapeBox Link Extractor Addon, imported my URL, and started to extract Internal URL's.

But it only has two results.

All of the links in the HTML are "/folder/folder2/page1.html". How do I get ScrapeBox to grab these links since they are not full URL's?

adwords PPC profits possible?

I cant see how an adwords PPC campaign can be profitable. (Eventhough I know it is)

The best conversion rate I have ever seen on any online product via any methods (other than ppc) is 3-5%

So for every 100 visitors I expect to get 3-5 sales. Considering the average order is $50 and my profit margin is 25% how the heck can I ever expect to be profitable with adwords?

All keywords for my niche are $1.00 min to hit the front page. However I am down to averaging .80 per click.

So 100 clicks cost me $80 and I make $62.50 in profits. WTF??

I would need to get under .625 per click to have any profit at all.

Thats impossible using Search networks with the niche I am in.

I have groups in the thousands of peoples that don't have the "upgrade group" link.. this means the group is just going to be archived and all members will be lost :(

Some of my smaller more active groups do have the "upgrade group" link.

does anyone know what makes facebook choose witch groups to allow to upgrade and witch not?

I don't believe that's a fair reflection on today's adware. Adware today is a legitimate industry and part of the online advertising landscape. All of the companies today which offer self-serve PPV services to advertisers maintain strict standards for user disclosure and consent to installation. Silent installs are so 1999. The industry has come a long way and there's really no need to tarnish its image with a word like "infected" when installs today are overwhelmingly done with full user consent and disclosure.

I would suggest changing the phrase "infected with" to "running".

Need Help With Client Pricing - Suggestions Please

I just landed a pretty big SEO Client. We sealed the deal on my consulting fees (a strong 4 figures monthly), but they have asked me to give them a price on "maintaining their website" for the year. I am not even sure what this should entail really, much less what to charge. I do want the extra cash though and these guys are willing to shell out. I need to make them a separate proposal for the website maintenance. Any suggestions as to what I should include and what I should charge for it? Any help would be much appreciated.

I should also note that I am capable of web design and some coding. I know how to do the stuff just don't know what to include and what to charge. Need to make a nice detailed proposal.

So in my inbox today is the Google adsense newsletter and in it is a small blurb about Google +1.

Essentially it is a Facebook "Like" button that will directly effect Google search results.

I know Google is running scared in a "social" world and is looking for ways to leverage what it has to spring to the front, but this just seems dumb. As a black hatter, my mind instantly went to how can you go crazy with this +1 button. You will be able to embed it on your website and it will show up next to ads in Search. Plus there is some way to share that +1 with your friends, but it is not clear how.

I think the easiest thing to so is just go over to a micro task website (I think some of them are banned, so I will not attempt to write any names or referrals until I can confirm otherwise) and pay for people to search your site in Google (especially for a term you want to rank higher for) and then have them click the +1 button.

Once this thing is fully launched, I'll throw up a test web site and run an open experiment. Similar to what I am doing here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...w-website.html

What are the chances of an english student making it to the MLB? And what age do players usually start their career in the MLB?

Im 18 now .. 6ft 3' .. 205lbs .. iv always had a powerful arm, and iv been called an athletic prodigy by many sport coaches (no lie) i can throw a javelin 60m, can throw a fastball around 80mph (obvz not straight :p) and i have a super hard punch!

All that ^^ is not to brag, but its just to prove that i am a powerfull 18yr old, and i know that my power and athletic ability will not get me to the MLB .. but what dya know, im also awesome at baseball! lol

What do you think are the chances of making it to the MLB at this age and from the UK?? Is a college scholarship the only way in?

I used to post 100 ads a day between all the major us cities, but then geo filters got
rediculous so I moved on to other businesses. I was wanting to get back into it, but
really dont want to use proxy services, so I thought up an idea. "Craigslist Ad Trading"
Basically, lets say I need an ad posted in New York, and someone in New York needs an ad
posted in Dallas, then I would post their ads and they post mine. Im sure there are
several people here that would be willing to do this, so I decided to throw the idea out

How do I find a list of the keywords that I rank for?

I just need to copy and paste a list of my top 500 keywords for some reasearch.

I can see them in analytics but when I export them the .csv comes out all garbled. I need just a simple text list of keywords, one per line, that my site ranks for. I don't need any more info other than the keywords themselves.

Any idea how I can generate a list like this? I know it should be easy, my brain seems to have shut down for today.

'Bad' Backlinks Dragging Me Down?

Hey guys, wanted to get your opinions on this.

I've had this particular site since I first started SEO, and the first thing I got was Scrapebox (you can see where this is going...). :D

So yeah, of course what I did was blast my site. Nothing major, but enough to pick up some pretty spammy low quality links.

Now, this site has by no means failed. It's sitting at #4 for a popular term in the UK and just inside the top 20 in the US. I'm building quality links to the site daily now, 15-20 a day, adding to linklicious pro, etc etc.

But I'm just concerned that my work on this site to get it higher in both countries may go to waste because of the bad links I picked up in my early SEO days!

So my question is...would it be wise to track down some of these 'bad' links and get them deleted?

Interested to hear your views and if anybody else has debated doing/has done similar.

First ever article rejected

Only just registered, but I have been browsing the forums for about a year. I hope to post here semi-regularly :)


I manually wrote an article last night, and submitted it. I checked earlier and noticed that it had been rejected, because it was "Advertisement". This article links to a clickbank affiliate link, but nearly every article I see links back to a clickbank link... So I am a little confused. I put the link at the bottom, with some text along the lines of "You may wish to check out x by clicking here", I deliberately didn't mention anything about buying a product, yet they say my article is advertisement but none of the other peoples are :S


Can anyone shed some light on this please? Thanks :)

New to Adwords , help required

Hi all BH forum members.
As my profile can tell i am new here and my interest is learning more about promoting websites. At the moment i've turned my focus on AdWords as i launch my new website. I bought myself a coupon and tomorrow will activate the account.
Also i am watching all the tutorials that can help me getting to know how AdWords works and how to make efficient campaigns.
Despite all my documentation some questions arise:
If Google catches me promoting my website using only new accounts feeded with vouchers, will ban my google account or my URL from using adwords?
How to keep doing this without getting cought? (i read topics about VCC and changing proxies, isn't that all to complicated fot the final result?)
How do persons who sell google vouchers as a business (have websites, do it as a living) get them? (i doubt they buy hosting 10 times a day).
If there are some tips when i create my adwords account for the first time (some fields that must be filled in a specific way to have more chances of being approved) and use a voucher, please let me know.

I apologize if some informations are not accurate but some notions are still a little in the dark for me. Also if my spelling or knowledge of english language is poor accept the fact that my mother tongue is not english and nothing related to it.

If you have any resources that you think are helpful for me to get to udnerstand better adwords and how to use it best, other from google's tutorials please let me know.

I do thank in advance for any helpful advices, resources and why not criticism.

Try to do a search for property south beach check out the site that says fxrealty and gatorfever . there ranking higher than any one else just cause of <strong> Anchor text after i did a back link search on them . Also let me add that theres nothing on the page at all looks like there host suspended them it its been like this for a month . They have a few back links.

SO SPEED IS KEY IN GETTING YOUR SITE RANK TO THE TOP More than title or description is what I am noticing.

Well since lately I looked into some keywords that have average of about 10-20 milion searches a month and according to google there is very small down to no compettition at all.But problem is with these keywords is that they are like: humor,stories.....
And I wondered if it is possible to make money on such niches.Help

Just looked at my real estate niche and the top 6 are all the major UK corporations - now how does a smaller indepdent get there?

Think google may be biased. After hours work I am on P1 of google for certain terms but they come first due to google places.

Anything u can suggest ??
