i have two personal accounts (one i haven't used in six months) that i use for talking to my family and friends. i would like two more, one for marketing purposes, and one to fake i'm someone else so people (relatives) don't know who i am and i can spy on them (add them as friends).... lol...

so would four accounts get me banned? or is it only if you go crazy and make heaps of new ones?

I recently linked up with a marketing partner and a coder. I'm not super good at computers but marketing is something I love. I will not go into every aspect of the business as it would take forever, but heres the basic idea.

I coldcall potential clients inquiring if they have a website or not. If they do I offer them SEO services, if not I tell them all they need to start is a basic website.

I have a wordpress theme that allows me to either show my entire post or just an excerpt from my post. My question is.... Since the theme does not give me the ability to do this on individual posts, is there a plug in that would allow me to have one post show the entire post and the rest show excerpt? I have changed the default location of My Pictures, My Videos and My Music So each of these are now on it's own hard drive, like
VIDEOS(G: )
MUSIC(D: )
PICTURES(H: )

The problem i now have is that you cant share a drive root with homegroup, you can only share a folder on a drive with homegroup. I have tried adding user: homegroupuser$ to permission of the drive but it does not help.

I have no problem sharing to root of the drive to networkusers but i would prefer to be able to to share to Homegroup user.

Any of you clever guys that could may help me.

When I first started in the movie/TV show niche, it was pretty lucrative, until the networks started frowning upon publishers who supported this type of content.

As a result, it has left many webmasters digging around looking for means to monetize their website as best as they can because many got the boot for having copyrighted content. I was one of them.

Personally, I took a big hit when the ToS of many well known networks changed their policy. I tried many alternatives out there, but there was simply no substitute nearly as good. I was making only about 30% of what I originally made, which later somehow even with the same number of visitors, I was making less than 15% of what I originally made.

So recently, I have done some experimenting and think I have found the perfect mix to monetize Movie/TV show sites. Although the profit isn't as nearly as good back when networks accepted this type of content, it has at least recovered back at least 40% of what I originally made (to be honest, is actually really good). And today, decided to share how I monetize my Movie/TV show niche related sites that DOESN'T involve any referral blanking of faking because how you will be monetizing your content is 100% acceptable with the programs I am using to monetize my visitors for maximum profit.

I know when I was searching for methods on BHW, I was looking for numbers, to get an idea.

Before the changes, I was making anywhere between $80/1,000 visitors. With the mix I have come up with, it lies between $20-$40/1,000 visitors. When I was using a single network like Leadbolt, I was only making about $5-$8/1,000 visitors. So I think the results are pretty good.

Here is the method I use on my websites. Realize, there is always room for improvement and you could easily expand with the idea I am presenting.

The Idea of the Method

The idea is to maximize profits. In order to do that, I incorporated three levels of monetization in multiple fronts.

1. In the landing page, I display an offer from a PPI program that is in a form of a video player. There is no gateway at all. Yet. (earned commission)
2. Enable Pop-up ad from being part of an affiliate program with a movie player upon first click of the visitor (commission)
3. I enable registration so I can compile their email. Put a message saying, "You must be logged in... blablabla"
4. After a user finishes registering, by default, I send them an email with their account information, but also a note saying that they can update their account to a Premium account from a 3-rd party site free trial (more commission).
5. Now when the registered users log in, a gateway will activate saying they must verify to show that they are a human being. (even more commission)
6. I look around for movie related offers and occasionally send them an email. Although I haven't had much success, yet, it is still worthwhile to experiment with various offers. (possibly even more commission)
7. Some random movie related advertisement on the sidebar of the website. (more more more commission)

This is pretty much the foundation that I use. I find that presentation and the design of the website is the only real big factor of affecting the earnings so be sure to use a good web design and logo.

I can already feel the questions coming like "why is the gateway level 2 and not on the landing page?"

Reason because the majority of movie sites have gateways on their front page. So by having a PPI offer on the landing page, you can even monetize the visitors who would originally leave instantly, would they have seen a gateway. You may also say, why would someone register? You'd be surprised. The people who would do the content gateway on the landing page, would be the same people who are willing to register to go through the gateway in the back-end. I know it may sound odd, but I have done quite a bit of experimenting and I have found this way to be the most rewarding.

Feel free to share how you monetize your Movie/TV Show sites and so on and how your figures are. I've seen some threads in the past saying that "Movie/TV Show sites are dead," but it is not true. All it requires is having the perfect mix of movie related affiliate programs, and it could still be worthwhile.

For those asking what program I am using to monetize the content, I am using a variety of programs, not just one. For those interested, just hit me up.

Hopefully those who operate a movie site are now convinced that they are able to earn more with their sites.

Hello all. I must say that I was very excited to find this forum somewhat at random. To be honest I had searched for a forum like this but the results were a bit tainted and filled with junk. But I'm here now and very glad for finding it.

I started down the dark path via freelance writing. After losing my full time job (with over 5 years down the drain) I decided to give my writing a real go. Since I was aiming to write for money as opposed to just for fun I knew that I wouldn't be doing exciting things with my writing. I started working through a content mill and have made a few dollars there. My work there exposed me to marketing and article generating which by and by lead me to the affiliate marketing world.

I've already been suckered a few times by scammy jobs or pay per click campaigns that never pay. I recently ran into a resource that kind of changed the way I look at things. I won't name it but it had to do with automating the process of building multiple page sites for SEO type stuff.

Now I'm still a total newblet but this stuff seems to have promise. It makes sense and it doesn't rely upon getting other people to do the same thing.

I would very much appreciate some input on heading in the right direction. I have no money to invest at this point but may in the future. Anyway, not looking to buy, looking to learn first.

My thought is that I need to arrange some form of hosting and a content source (generated or spun or... whatever) and just start building pages for adsense or clickbank offers or affiliate programs. I have some areas that I am interested in (trying to promote things I had no interest in always left me feeling a bit greasy) and a general understanding of the tools available.

If I am not mistaken, clickbank itself is an affiliate system? So if someone referred me to clickbank they would get some credit? I've just started to read up on that side of things so I am willing to 'be referred' for constructive advice.

Random sidenote on investing in programs: At one point in my adventures I was a bit frustrated and posted an ad explaining that if any marketer had confidence that their system was reliable and made money then they should have no problem paying for my entry. After all, you are making sooo much off of it already right? And me being 'in your line' would benefit you right? So why not pay for my entry? Or transfer whatever payment is required to my paypal?

Ok, yeah. I had this great idea the other day. I decided to make a fiverr clone site! How unique! Compete with fiverr....great idea huh? :) I bet no one has thought to do that yet! Well I wasn't that naive, but I wasn't sure how many fiverr clones there really was.

I thought it would be neat to track my progress here and share my success/failure with those interested. I'm mainly starting this thread because I want to hear something other than "yet another fiverr clone? don't do it!". Maybe I'll get some positive responses, maybe not. I think I may. Why? Because I have a plan, and I offer something that fiverr really doesn't.

So, whats the plan? How am I different? Without going into a whole lot of drawn out detail my plan is to target my audience to those who really need these services. Developers, marketers, advertisers, writers, etc. My site isn't about BS gigs, it's about useful gigs and safety for the buyers.

What do I offer that fiverr doesn't (kinda)? Simple. I have what I'm calling "The Grey Market". You can guess whats thats for....accounts, emails, etc. As long as they are created by you and not phished they are all allowed. Whatever you can think of. Actually I would hope a few black hatters would give it a try on my site, you're more than welcome. (No Link, I'm not a spam whore, it's not what I'm here for, but I'll share with those interested if they PM me.)

I do the standard $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $50, $100 format. Mainly because some gigs are worth more than $5, and it allows you to sell more of your time or product at a time.

Truth is I don't really hope to compete with fiverr, just the other clones. I think my site could end up in the top 10-20 of fiverr clones. Given the horrible management most fiverr-like sites have I may end up higher than that since I and my team will be managing this one closely. That's good enough for me.

For those curious here's what I've got into it:

$15 - for the script, which I bought off of, you guess it, a fiverr clone site. I have since modified it a bit, mosty for looks. I've also fixed the bugs. It's one of the best clone scripts, no hiverr/biverr junk for my users!

$0 for hosting. it's shared with my 20 something other sites. Will go to dedicated as soon as the concept is proven. Things are running faster than fiverr atm.

$0 for advertising. Mainly because I have not officially launched yet and I have several active Twitter accounts that I use to drive traffic to my sites. Some 8,000 daily visitors with averages of 30,000 page views per day will soon be going there.

If you've read this far, then maybe you're interested enough to give me some feedback. I'm really not sure how to advertise this site. Like I said above I intend to promote it on twitter, but I'm almost non existent on facebook, youtube, or digg. The SEO on this sites will probably be average at best. There isn't much you can do with the script besides meta data and I don't expect a lot of search engine traffic. I have usually avoided ppc and cpm ads because my free traffic was enough, but I want this to go big so I know I've got to get into them. I plan to spend 100% of all profit into advertising for the next several months, if not longer. Ideas? Suggestions? How would you advertise it if it was your site?

In Canada we have a highway called 407 where you need a transponder to record your trip or the camera takes a picture of your plate and you are billed a camera fee plus your trip fee.

Is there anyway to beat this camera? I have seen some sprays that apparently make your plate invisible to them, but I think that only works on red light camera which uses a flash. I have also seen plate covers that distort your plate at an angle. I'm looking for a sure thing though that's undetectable.

ok so basically i have probably the most messed up life on this forum.

My parents have split up , My mum has MS and my dad has just recovered from cancer and he's an alcoholic and i've never got on with my mum and due to this illness she has now i cant handle her nor my dad.

She argue's everyday with me , Wishes i was dead and basically she does everything to knock me down and trys and make me feel as low as i possibly can.

I've not told her yet but i'm taking drugs regularly , Just going out drinking alot and taking a girl home each night and i've not long turned 18 and to be honest if i keep on like i am doing now i will be dead within 1 year and i'm not evening joking. But i think to myself , Would i be better of dead? But then ofcourse my mum will think she has won and i dont want that + I'm pissing my life away.

I'm just thinking of dissapearing and moving up country or even getting my own apartment , What would you guy's do if you were in my position ?
