Although I have an account on Hostgator with unlimited websites, I'm actually starting to get enough traffic that I don't want to start bumping up against their 25% CPU usage rules.

So, I was looking to open up another account with them to put up some more sites. I know they allow you to do this, but my question is, has anyone done this and has it caused any problems?

I'm not looking for a debate on how good or bad Hostgator is, I've used them for 3 years, and loved their service, I just need to know if anyone has experience with using multiple accounts, or has a better idea on what I should do, to make sure I don't start having website issues...

Hi guys, I've been reading countless threads about gaining twitter followers and have some questions.

Most of the technqieues people here seem to be employing involve sites like twiends or twittfame. I have found that most of those accounts are either not real people, or they unfollow you after a short period of time.

Does anyone have any techniques of getting actual people following you? I decided to combine methods and started using Twidium today and actually had some conversations with people, but this seems rather slow.

I read that twitter allows 1,000 follows/day so I added 1,000 people with ratios favorable for a follow back, but have only gained about 160 today. Is that normal, or are there ways to improve the follows/day count?

I thought this may be a good topic to build on. Since so many of these services are changing policies, or shutting down, actually using twitter and various tools to gain real followers may be the only way to do it.

My question is:

If I was going to start a blog network, say for instance, like SBnation or Bleacherreport or glam media, would it be smarter for me to have each blog have its own domain?

Example; Say your blog is about New York sports, and there is keywords I want to rank for. The keywords are new york yankees xl, new york knicks xl, and new york rangers xl.

Should I have a seperate domain and site for each 4 sports teams? Something like this.....

or would it better to have just 1 site and list all the teams in a category?

If I started 1 site named newyorksports.com, then have the catagories as new york yankees xl, new york knicks xl, and new york rangers xl.


I was thinking if I want to turn a network like this into a long term type thing it would be better to have 1 big site for marketing purpose. That way advertisers can easily see the site there ads are on.

But then i think it would be better to have seperate domains at first for SEO purpose, and then later on just make the big site and join all the blogs together on 1 site. Or maybe not.

Finally I get some time to come here on BHW... I am wondering if there is a free package of web scripts out there that enable you to create your own affiliate program? I have come across a few outdated ones and their php errors are too complex at this point in time for me to fix up.

Which brings me to another question... Would it be better off in a long run to go through somewhere like ClickBank or PayDotCom etc to create an affiliate program etc? I am taking a couple of business papers and I know when I come up with a viable commodity I can promote that making an affiliate program could really help in terms of building some profits.

Also I know this might sound like a stupid question but is there any way or any software that enables you to look for niches that aren't saturating Google etc? I have joined several affiliate programs in the past but have only just came to realise it is very hard to sell a product that is already saturating the marketplace, so finding a product to sell that relates to a relatively "untapped" niche would be good.

Ok so i have a quick question for you jack of all trades type marketers. Right now i have about $200 to play with, and i have 5 months until i go to university. In that 5 months i want to make as much money as possible, to buy a car and to have a nice bit of cash to blow on freshers week :D

I have 2 scenarios, which would you recommend?

1) Invest in scrapebox and other SEO tools, buy some EMD's, throw up some micro niche sites and bring organic traffic.

2) Invest in YouTube advertiser, some proxies and accounts and upload 500 video per day promoting various CPA offers.

Remember my goal is to make as much money as possible within 5 months. Which of these ventures would help me achieve that the easiest??

Well since there is no outing, I cannot say what the page/some kind of app i thing was exactly, but I can say that it was extremely viral, and saw it by accident on my wall, which was filled by my friends, so... when I first saw it it had about 20k fans, click reload 21k fans, 1 minute later 60k fans...of course the page got banned, but my question is, where can i find this sort of script, and how much would it cost.

I found out that two different pages on my site are "81% similar". I used http://www.webconfs.com/similar-page-checker.php to check this.

The first page has an original article I added and the other page has the same exact article but I don't know how the page was created.

I have bought SpinnerShief PRO and when I click on the option to use 'cloud thesaurus' it says I don't have the ability to use those functions. The only reason I really bought it, is to have a better quality article at the end of spinning due to a shared thesaurus/cloud thesaurus.

somewhere along the way I downloaded a virus, I have 'XP Internet Security 2011' popping up every 30 seconds telling me I have severe viruses on my computer, I have about 3 different types of pop-ups coming up every 30seconds or so from; trojan, security risk, privacy warnings, malware found, spyware found and more.. :(

Problem is, I did a full scan with Microsoft Security Essentials and a scan with Avast (free) and kaspersky (free) and all three scans have come up clean, saying I have no threats.

I need to register 'XP Internet Security 2011' for it to take action in removing the threats found, but my comp is so old I don't have a registration key (and if I do I don't know what it is). XP Internet Security 2011 is the only program telling me I have viruses...

Anyone know how I can get them off my computer??

I got limited access to account notice from PayPal 2 days ago and saying that

"Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):
May 20, 2011: It's been a little while since you used your account. So, we just want to make sure that you authorized some recent transactions."

I didn't think it was serious but I call their 800 number to find out why.

What they're saying is my account is "PERMANENTLY LIMITED" and I can no longer use my account because I'm associated with something which they're telling me.

After more than 5 years of using this account, it's gone. Luckily there isn't any money in it but I cannot do anymore e-business with paypal.

With my youtube main account, i'm commenting on popular videos, saying "Best call of duty kill ever on my channel" and using other accounts, to get it to most thumbed up ( I use a bot so I don't have to go to the effort of thumbing it up manually ). I get 600 subs a day from this, 7k so far.

Some information about excessive linking:

It is my belief that excessive backlinking will stop a website from reaching the top of the search engines, however there are very different opinions on the forum.

I'm going to offer up one of my websites as a test case so we can see the effects and finally put it to bed.

First of all, I want to explain that in Google's own patent it states:

"In the present invention, it is possible, therefore, for a document with only one backlink (from a very highly ranked page) to have a higher rank than another document with many backlinks (from very low ranked pages). This is not the case with simple citation ranking." - This means that the number of backlinks is definitely NOT the definitive source when Google calculates rankings for sites.

I don't have the patent anymore, but there is also a part in Google's patent which explains that Google plots a "link graph" using the anchor text of backlinks over time.

It says that a spammer will show a spiky graph with overly coherent or overly diverse anchor text.

A natural website will show anchor text that varies but which is related tot he topic and a more stable graph.

The bit which I found really interesting is that when the Google algo detects a website that is being spammed for backlinks it will SCALE DOWN the scoring of the website accordingly. What this means is that you will need more links to move the site in comparison to a non-spam site.

So what is the plan?

The plan is to create thousands of links regularly. As much as some of the very large blasts you can get on blackhat world. We need to link excessively but not any more than anyone from BHW might do. So there's not point making 8 million a day. We need to keep it realistic and based on what the average excessive linker on BHW does.

I will need help from you guys. I will pay for link blasts when I can afford it, but it would be more manageable if supporters of this thread coudl use whatever tools you have at your disposal to execute "runs" of their software on our target site using our target keyword.

I will update the thread whenever I use software of buy blasts from a service.

The great thing about this site is that it is an aged domain and it is not spam.

I wanted to run this by you and have you tell me what you think. I have just signed with my 5th affiliate network today. :D

95% of my traffic comes from my affiliate networks and with this new particular affiliate network they are beliving that a CPA would be better than a CPS with there traffic. So...I have crunched some numbers and have decided to offer 2.00 per verified signup. Which the affiliate company believes is awesome considering that it is not an email submit offer and the customer get something for free when they signup. Plus my conversion ratio is 1/10 when someone signs up.

Here is my question... Is this to much or not enough? I am not sure what other companies are offering for something like this and from the reaction of the affiliate company manager this seemed like a lot. I would like to know what some of you think a good amount to be paid per customer would be?

What would get you to move your traffic to me is what I am asking?

Right now I believe a new customer to be worth about $4.00 each. I have to get the exact CPA payout I want to them by tomorrow because the offer goes live then. The other affiliate companies are running their traffic to a landing page that I pay between 60%-75% CPS on so I don't have conversion ratios from those companies to work from. Plus no other competitor in my niche pays per free signup so not one of the affiliate companies I have talked to had a real answer to give me.

Yeah, so if i do a scrape for urls using a keyword list of my own, i can manage to get a list of like 200k sometimes.

Then when it finishes it says something like: 87% of the URL's has been removed, maybe you used too similar keywords
