| BHW is making my wife divorce me Posted: 13 May 2011 08:30 PM PDT No joke, just had a major fight with the wife ending with her slapping me in the face. She says I spend wayyy too much time on the computer, I don't give her enough attention blah blah blah. Been with this chick for over 9 years and married for just a little over 1 year. Go figure that our relationship is ending in failure after marrying all because of money. She just don't get it that we are broke, in debt, and i'm just trying to find my way to financial success and freedom so we can stop fighting about the thing that has clearly ripped out relationship apart. Am i so wrong for spending so much time on the computer trying to find a way out for us? she claims that I blame everything on money but dude if i'm worried about rent every day, paying it, then of course i'm going to work my ass off. here's the kicker, she gets 1200/mo from social security, gets to enjoy riding her horse which costs $400+/mo for boarding, drives a brand new truck that costs another $400, then blows the rest on gas and food while I pay upwards of $5k/mo in bills for rent, utils, business (i run an IT consulting company that has sloooowwwwed badly the last few months), and debts i'm trying desperately to get rid of. She is soo spoiled and yet she blames me for spending so much time on the computer. Once again, am I wrong here? I don't know what the fuck to do.... |

Ive been working on numerous sites and I've been trying to get rankings for my keywords so I've tried to be as focused as possible. I've been up all nights till 4 AM for the past week and for 3 days straight all I drink and ate was orange juice.. tropicana fruit juices all day/all night.. I finished like 7 cartons. 2 days later the right side of my stomach is hurting.. Anyone know if I need to go to the hospital or not? It hangs at "Pending Update" after I try to update the rankings. I tried using a proxy, and got a new IP for myself.... still no luck. The site incorporates a script for grabbing 100-200 tube videos daily, easy to publish procedure, SEF links and twitter updates. In about a month, using several twitter accounts, i managed to gain about 2000 followers, and have about 50-60% direct visits, and the rest of it being more or less from twitter. Most of my traffic (~60%) is from US, UK, CA and Australia. I have 2000+ unique visits daily. The system also has an ability to shorten links for twitter. I was thinking to clean up my code and offer people easy set-up service, that would enable people to have this kind of site in a day. What do you think, how much could I ask for this? Obviously, I'd leave CSS & layout finesses to users, but they'd have a working site for this money. What would it be??? p.s. My site exists for 6 months now and is earning about 3-5$ daily.. However, all this earning started in less then a month ago, when I started my twitter publishes. I also created a java application that works on it's own, retweeting other people statuses. Please be real... how much would people be willing to pay for this? |

After 5 years of White Hat I'm fed up with rubbish results, telling customers to be patient, explaining that Black Hat is the way of fools, then watcing all the competitive sites out rank mine - it's all bollocks. I've been that guy who would argue that natural linking is the best approach, these black hat guys will get their come-uppance, but no longer! Now I'm getting behind the dark side, jumping onto the xrumer bandwagon, deliving deep into Facebook FriendAdder and saying "Come into my life all yee who are unnatural". Not that anyone on this forum will give a damn, and those of you who have got this far will be saying "about time too", "what the hell took you so long" or just "get on with it, and stop thinking we're interested" but for me it's a big moment. If anyone is interested I'll let you know how I get on, but I know there's plenty of people doing that already so I'll not bother unless asked.:cool: |
| My CJ Pay per call & AT&T Interactive Experiment Posted: 13 May 2011 03:23 PM PDT I decided to throw $50.00 at a little experiment using my new CJ Pay Per Call account and AT&T's Interactive (mobile) pay per call advertising program. I've been looking to use my new account with Ring Revenue (CJ) so I gave it a go and here's how it went: I promoted a cash advance offer that I've done very well with in the past on traditional media buys and used pretty much the same ad that has worked in the past. My bid was $2.00 per call (the minimum) which put me in position 2 for the area of coverage I chose (not bad). For this offer, CJPPC pays $8.00 for calls to my number lasting longer than 1:30 and within my region. The caveat is, AT&T does not allow you to post your own number in the ad, they use their own number (which they do not disclose to you) which is then forwarded to your PPC phone number assigned by CJ. AT&T also charges you your bid price for any call lasting less than 0:12. That's a measly 12 seconds! I also learned that AT&T, being the upstanding company they are (cough, cough), sells the number they assign to your ad to telemarketers that are calling on businesses in the category you chose to advertise in. So if program you are promoting is answered by an automated attendant and it's a telemarketer calling, it will take them longer than 12 seconds to get past the attendant but not long enough for you to get paid before they hang up. The result - you guessed it, you get charged for the call and you don't make any money. Because of the payout to cost ratio, it was pretty much a break even experiment as I did make enough to cover my initial deposit so I believe the method has potential with the right offer and advertsing with a mobile display company other than AT&T. I hope this saves someone else some time and $$$. |

I want to send out about 300 emails a day offering a free offline service to local businesses. Its going to be 3 separate lists with each having 100 or so (not more than 110 ) in each set. Can I just send them from any Hotmail Gmail Yahoo etc account or will I get in "trouble" for spamming or some other ridiculous law against people with actual services offering them to other businesses? I've been reading a bunch, and the impression I'm getting is that if your CTR is too high that that is bad news for you adsense account? Is that right? If so - what is a good, but safe, CTR? I currently have 3 micro-niche sites that I just launched about two months ago. As I'm still learning, I've done just about nothing in terms of link building and generating additional traffic. Only traffic I'm getting right now is thanks to the domain matches. However, my main site currently has a CTR of 4.72% - 106 impressions and 5 clicks. Is that too high? I have over 60 people paying me $XX/month, and all I have been doing is keeping the paypal transaction notification as proof of revenue....same for my expenses. So I showed my accountant one of these paypal transaction records where it basically shows who you sent the money to and how much. I've used services, many xrumer 10k blasts, 1k blasts, other blasts, bookmarking, directories, blog comments, done mild scrapebox, some AMR, probably 10 linkpushes each, couple linkwheels each, edu, gov, angela, paul, manual, lol. You would think each site would have quite a few backlinks. But none of them have more than like 150 - 200 backlinks. I feel like I'm a part of some big marketing scam perpetrated by people trying to sell their services. My sites have had decent results with some of these services, but why can't I see the backlinks anywhere. I mean, my sites would have 100,000 backlinks each if all the backlinks showed up. But not one of my sites have more than like 180 backlinks. It sucks because i have so many keywords stuck around position number 12 - 24, if they could all just go to the first page, life would be great. But I can't get over that hurdle. I'm stuck in mediocre land. |

But then today I got another call from him, sounded upset and said that people already started talking about this and that it's hurting his reputation and business badly. I haven't reported the group yet, thought about doing it, but I somehow doubt the effectiveness of a single person reporting a group with a lot of members so first wanted to ask what you guys would do in my shoes. Use twiends to get 1000 followers by the next day they will be 700! Not only they don't have conscience but also don't have minds, if you unliked the pages you got the seeds for, your very own pages that you spend those seeds to populate will lose the likes!
