Is my product idea viable based on these results?

I've got an idea for an e-book so I set up a fairly crappy 1-page site and ran an AdWords campaign to test the market for the e-book. The users fill out name and address, then hit a 'continue purchase' button which then shows an error, so no cc info is actually taken. I consider this a "conversion" when it happens.

My $39.99 e-book would be breaking even, i.e., just enough revenue to cover the AdWords campaign right now. On the one hand my product viability looks bad. On the other hand, with a real website, some AdWords optimization, and some SEO work, it seems like it would be doing a lot better. So my question: Is my e-book idea worth pursuing? (I realize it's hard to answer without a lot more background.)

I won't into the product details but here are some of the AdWords numbers. Again, my cost per conversion is about equal to the cost of the AdWords. I'm getting about 3% CTR on my search campaign and 0.07% on my display campaign. Sample size is *really* small now-- 120 total click-throughs. My AdWords are pricey, about $1.30 apiece. I'm getting about 4 purchases for every 120 click-throughs.

I apologize in advance if this has already been asked. I don't know specifically what it is called that I am asking, making it hard to search the forum for it.

I was wondering, if it was possible to match up keywords with a specific URL in scrape box. For instance, you have your names file (which I put my keywords in) and then you have your URL file (which I put the URL's I want "blasted" in). From my experience though, it will take whatever URL's you have, and randomy match them up with the name file.

Is there anyway to specifically match up KWs and URLs? Other than having to do 1 blast at a time for each URL and KW?

For instance:

If I want to blast a bunch of URLs and KWs is it possible to have one keyword only match up to one URL?

IE:
http://www.testtest.com w/ KW of "Hot Games"
http://www.1test1test.com w/ KW of "Gaming Guru"
http://www.sicktest.com w/ KW of "Game Cheats"

but be able to blast all of these at one time, but having the KW's I want match up with the URLs I want, rather than it just randomly choosing KW's and URLs based on what I have in the text files...

Is it possible to use like "http://www.testtest.com:Hot Games" so on and so forth?

I have a question that I have been trying to figure out for a while.

I noticed that after an amr blast to a money site, the site would definately dance (and what I mean by that is that it will jump up serps quickly).
-This effect would occur the next day, after an amr blast

But I know how people do fiverr gigs and get some backlinks that are a high pr, like portron.

But most of the time you order a service and its completed the seller will tell you to wait for two weeks for the backlinks to take affect and have an impact on your serps. (as compared to doing a blast on your site that can make your site bounce the next day)

So I cant understand this...........
How come if a person did a huge blast on their website then most likely it will bounce around the next day?
But if you did high pr comments for your site then how come it would take a week to see some results?

Sorry if its confusing but I cant seem to figure this out. Could anyone apply their theories?

I've read quite a few topics on here about aged domain buying strategy so I've been on the hunt for a few decent PR and aged domains.

I came across a domain with a pr2 and aged about 3 years so I decided to snatch it up because it would work well with one of my law niches.

However, after buying it, I realized that it uses the law firms name in the domain.

For example: Law firm owns LEGALFIRMlaw.com, the domain I picked up uses -LEGALFIRMlawblog.com.

Now, obviously, I want to avoid a C&D, so do you guys think I'm opening myself to some legal issues here?

Should I A)Setup a 301 redirect and blast the crap out of the domain with spammy links to pass some link juice to another site; B)Use the domain and carry on as usual; or C) something different?

I can see the banners running on my website but when I go on the control panel of adscend I cannot see my campaigns running. Today I was playing around with my software and decided to scrape some generic SB comments to share with the community.

All the comments are scraped from Yahoo Questions and will be in the form of a question. I feel that having comments in the form of a question are way more believable then the usual, "Hey great blog, I bookmarked it, blah blah blah". When you ask a blog admin/owner a question directly it looks a lot more realistic. I've even had a few blog owners respond and answer a few of my questions. IE: I asked a question about how their blog was so fast and they responded with the name of their hosting provider.

First I scraped these comments using generic keywords like:

• Blogger
• Blogspot
• Wordpress
• Start a Blog
• Start a Website

I have made sure that the comments are filtered to contain at least 10 words and that no comment has any links in it. There are slightly over 1,000k generic comments in this list. If anyone has any other generic seed keywords they think might yield some good generic comments, let me know and I'll scrape some more.

Here are a couple example comments taken from the list:

"I am very new to web design as I have no prior experience and know little HTML.. I just want to know what the best software is to purchase to design blogs. I have downloaded CS5 Design Premium with Dreamweaver and Photoshop, but I realize this is a little advanced for me and expensive!!!. Does anyone have suggestions of software or ways to build blogs and websites easily and inexpensive?. . THANKS!."

"I'm wanting to look at blogs containing music I like, but sifting through all the detached, outdated and crap blogs is a hassle. . I know there are thousands of blogs, is there a good resource to seek out the preferred ones?. What is a good free blogging website that I can respond to blogs and others will respond to me?"

Hey guys, I have a big problem with my website. I will start with a little story, so you will better unstand it.

Some years ago, an online friend and I started to build a website. He build the website, design und plugins and I managed the community, promote the website and wrote articles.
After some weeks we start with making money by cpa, ppv and directmaketing. We split the earned money for the first time (everyone got 50%). After our 500 Dollar he wanted to get 80%, because his tasks are much harder than my. :rolleyes:

So I decided to leave our crew and project to start with my own website (same topic). I found a new coder for technical maininstance and all was good.
Some weeks ago, 3 years later, my website is better ranked, have more visits and I think I earn more. My old partner wrote me an email that he's very angry about me and I better should close or sell my website. If I will not do this, he will make bad things.

Since some days my website ranked very very bad, I lost nearly all searchengine visits (these are 18k - 20k per day and now I got only 10-1000 per day) :eek:


I dont know what he did, I only know that he know a lot of blackhat methodes and he told my, that he know how to kick websites out of google.

What should I do know? Only wait till Google leave me out of the filter or is my website now trash?
My website is 3 years old and all is "white hat", so I think Google should trust my website if anyone should spam in the name of my website.

And do anyone know which ways he could used?

A couple of days ago I made a stupid mistake of copying someone’s listing and just changing a few words here and there. Flippa has now temporarily suspended my listing, but it’s not allowing me to edit the content so that I can make the listing live again.

I sent an email to flippa saying sorry and it won’t happen again bla bla bla but they just decided to ignore me and deem my question solved.

Losing out on $19 does not bother me, but I have made over 20 auctions in the last 2 months, is it really a good business decision to screw me out of $19?

I feel like saying screw you flippa, but I can’t as only flippa has the kind of audience I require.
