Help from the Pros? A Newb and his Keyword Troubles...

I seem to have found a keyword that I am going back on forth on. I could use some help from the pros, if, in your opinion it's a solid keyword.

The dotCOM is available for purchase.
Health niche
Exact Monthly Search: 33,100
SEOC: 535,000
cpc: $2.30
I will use adsense
I also did the, intitle:"keyword" inurl:"keyword" and just plugged my keyword in both slots and 24,000 came up as a result. Don't know if that's a good number or not.

The Pros: I can buy the dotCOM, cpc is average, and from what I understand the search volume would be thought as relatively healthy. Most of my competitors it seems are only PR1 as well.

The Cons: The SEOC of 535,00. It's a health niche so it come heavy competition is expected.

Honestly what I would like to know is if I could make it to the first page of Google after working on the site for about 6-8 months.

I would like to start on the right foot. So in yout opinion is the keyword good? Thanks again in advance.

So I have a client that has a newspaper. Im pushing him towards WP with Magazine theme.

Now I have to decide what is better for him Multisite or separte WP installations on subdomains?

He only has one domain name but puts out different editions for suburbs.

Say his site is whatevernews.com

I`ll create the subdomains city1.whatevernews.com,city2.whatevernews.com,city 3.whatevernews.com etc. etc.

What would be the benefit of doing this as apposed to separate WP installations on each subdomain?

Well today I got hit with a nasty htaccess hack. Somebody hacked my ftp login details and
changed the htaccess on all my sites to redirect search engine traffic to their site. From looking
around on the web I believe it was this.

This happened while I am selling my site, a site receiving a lot of search
engine traffic and I am looking to get 25-30k for it so this might end up
being quite costly since it has made my bounce rate 98% for the past 24
hours and that will likely affect my rankings.

After talking with my tech guy and to my hosting we believe the problem was
my password was too simple... So here's the lesson guys. Make sure important
passwords like ftp, cpanel, important emails etc. are all very long complicated
gibberish with capitals, numbers and symbols.

I have also read I shouldn't be using fireftp a firefox plugin for my ftp
access because since it uses the browser to connect, there are vulnerabilities.

So I now use a desktop ftp program.

Anyways, just wanted to share, so if any of you are currently not using
long complicated gibberish passwords you will change them now before you
learn the hard way like I have. I know, dumb mistake on my part, but I am
sure a few of you are doing the same, and I just wanted to save you the headache.

Also anyone with any info on further ways to secure a FTP or cpanel login,
or other vulnerabilities to watch out for, I would love to hear it.

So I have a client who runs a local newspaper I am throwing together a Wordpress site(s) for.

He has a competitor doing things he likes and want to replicate what they do. One thing I am stuck on is the competitor has an option in the sidebar to pull down a full print edition of their newspaper in .pdf format. I looked at the source code of the competitor and this is what I see

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I noticed that I have 10 positive itrader feedback and the total numbers also says this.

Its just a number really. But as you can see above, the numbers don't seem to tally. I manually counted and it is indeed 10. Just thought I'd bring this to your attention.

I forgot my CJ password and when i tried to resend it i got "The email address does not belong to an active Commission Junction user". I belive my account has been disabled since i haven´t earned anything the last months, but i can´t get a new pass. I have spoken whit CJ on FB and they say i would need to call their customer service in US to solve this, but i refuse to do that since its an account whit not much on (better getting a new one instead).

But is there anyway i could get this account back whitout calling US?

[WTF] Maxmind geo-IP database not working today?

Anyone else noticing this? I have a redirect script set up using the Maxmind database and its been responding extremely slow today, and even worse, sometimes not at all.

Usually its so fast I miss it if I blink.

My status bar says "waiting for j.maxmind..." for at least 15 seconds and then it redirects or just freezes and the status bar goes to "Done" even though it hasn't successfully redirected. It just stops on the page I have the script set up on.

WTF is going on? I'm losing $ every minute their database is down... I'm scrambling for another solution/script that doesn't rely on their database for geo-IP redirects...

I'm looking for software to submit RSS feeds to multiple aggregator sites. I've used ksoft RSS Submit 3.0, but it's not that
great (69% success rate). Ideally, the software would allow you to edit (update, delete, add) feed site URLs and would
have a "profile" so you could semi-automatically populate fields on any manual submit sites with a single button press.

...heard of a few RSS submit software alternatives to ksoft/dummy software, such as Allscoop RSS Submit Pro, RSS Bot,
Extralabs RSS Submit, but haven't been able to find much info on them. SENukeX will do RSS submit as well,
but I don't have $2k or $139/mo right now - plus I'm not sure if you can change the feed sites. I have SB, but that
only does pings, not RSS feed submissions.

Does anyone know of or have experience with any RSS submission programs that work well and possibly meet the criteria above?

Started up a test site to see am I cut out for this IM malarkey..

Site information:
  • KW gets 3600 exact monthly searches
  • AWCPC $2.78
  • also have EMD
  • Competition not so difficult

Site is on WP with a nice clean basic theme. All 5 posts are original and written by myself. So far I have got a few .edu profiles made and also social bookmarking along with some manual blog comments for off site seo.

Recently got a pr of 2 for my home page and pr of 1 for other posts (site created July 2011).

Sitting between #6-#7 on page 1 of google for past 2 weeks. I have also built 3 web 2.0 profiles linking back to my money site but no seo done on these yet. I have just bought SB recently and am currently learning how to use it correctly.

Question is, what would you do next to bump it up the rankings, I obviously want that #1 spot!!

Hi my fellow BHW pals,pls i'm new to torrent.I try to create a torrent file using utorrent.After creating the torrent,it appear as 12kb but the original file is 9.66mb.but in utorrent it is the original 9.66mb.Guys what should i do? is there an omission while creating the .torrrent file? should I upload that 12kb file?

My business has a toll free number that forwards to my cell phone number. I want to forward the toll free number to my google voice number, which forwards to my cell phone.
so it will be forwarding twice, from the toll free number to google voice to my cell phone. Will there be any problems?

I am trying to start off emailing and work towards whitelisting. I want to eliminate bounces and want to know what is an effective method to do this.

I am going to buy an add-on that rotates multiple IP/domains with Interspire. The only way I can think of to do it is buy 10-20 IP/domains and use them to be the "cleaning" IP's so I end up with a clean email list with my good reputation IP's. I would still throttle the sending and would be glad to get at least 5,000 emails an hour sent.

Is that a method worth trying to does someone have a better method?

I let a customer buy TBS in december 2010, due to some reasons the customer cancelled the paypal subscription! But it was paid for a FULL YEAR. Now whenevr I try to log in to TBS it says license not valid cos subscription was cancelled.

But it was still paid for a whole year.

I sent 4 support tickets over a time of 4 weeks to TBS and got not one reply. So avoid Jon Leger. He is a SCAMMER.

I never used to like BlackBerry because almost everyone has one, especially teens. I recently saw one and it is actually a really cool phone. Anyway, I want to get either the BB9780 or the Xperia Neo and I don't know which one. Love this site, love the help and tip I have been getting so far. I have a few competitors that are killing it in the same market that I am. I've done as much as possible to see how they get their traffic and rankings. I've done the basic checks such as looking at source codes, SEO, Yahoo site explorer, Alexa. What else can I do to see or websites can I enter their URL to check their site?

Ok been reading previous threads, and perhaps it's not possible as there isn't a clear answer. Is there an offshore (outside us/western europe) processor that will take deb/credit card and i can cash from the uk, without paying massive charges (small online business). Or a money transfer method that will take card and instantly transfer it over to me (needs to be easy for buyer). not paypal or similiar as business is a little high risk and so want to protect from us authorities. Scrapebox Multi-Level Syntax spinning

Something I noticed yestherday with Scrapebox:

So I tried to find AA blogs, but I didn't want to use 1 version of a comment that is 90% unique, I wanted to use 5 different versions which are 90% spun.

so I created something like this:

  1. This is a comment
  2. Welcome to the best forum
Spun:

I wanted to use these 2 spun versions in another Syntax like this:

unfortunately this method does NOT work, or am I doing something wrong? :croc:
