| [Need Advice] How not to ban facebook account? Posted: 24 Aug 2011 09:06 PM PDT I need some advice from facebook expert, I am new to FB marketing. I have just started marketing on facebook and I've use a 6 month old account but it was immediately ban. First thing I did was to add friends. Saw some FB email shared here download it and add 1k friends one time, lol... it got me immediately block from adding friends. I think with the current FB, there's no way to add a lot of friends with a short amount of time. So what I did is what most FB spammers did to gain friends, spam groups/pages with large amount of members. It works well and I did spam around 100 large groups/pages in one day. Sometimes I add a legitimate comment on groups/pages and when I am feeling tired, I just post spam comments. Then today, not long ago before I made this thread, my account was ban. Anyway, I make the account to look like legitimate. So I was wondering what is the cause of the ban? Maybe the obvious answer to my question is because of spamming groups/pages. If it is the cause, then what advice can you give me to avoid this from happening again? Should I only spam a certain amount of groups/pages per account? let's say 10 groups/pages per account? I'm kinda pissed cause I work like 18 hours yesterday for that account but the result is worth if it didn't get banned. Other advice would be greatly appreciated too. |

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 08:58 PM PDT Hello everyone, I would appreciate some offline/local-seo marketing feedback, or help on the following: I've noticed that Google places requires local businesses to have a physical address & that you are not allowed to use PO-Boxes. I've also read that it may be risky to use a UPS or Mailbox etc. address because if Google finds out, there is a good chance they may ban your website/company/listing. With all of this in mind, I have come to the conclusion that the safest, next best choice to actually having a physical address in the target location is to get a virtual office. And when dealing offline clients that either have a home-based business or have a need to target a larger city that their company address is on the outskirts of - it seems like having some type of physical address in the target city is a must. The lowest rate I've been able to find for nationwide virtual offices is around $60/month. The absolute lowest I've seen, in pretty much any area, was $25/month....but it was not nationwide and if I remember correctly had other fees. Does anyone know of any more affordable virtual offices (preferably nationwide), or even another safe physical address solution other than a virtual office? Maybe closer to 10-15 bucks with locations in most major cities? I would really appreciate everyone's feedback, experience, or help with this. Thanks |

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 08:56 PM PDT I've been having a bit of a squizz at a few sites like fiverr and microworkers but these don't seem like sustainable ways of making money, whether you are the buyer or seller. Are there websites that are silimar to Fiverr but the other way round? ie. There is a list of things that people need to get done, not the way they have it, which is a list of things people are willing to do. I need a website like Microworkers where I can outsource small and infrequent tasks but there only ever seems to be 80 jobs going at a time and it doesn't seem like the site is well and truly alive. I don't know if elance does stuff like this but if anyone knows any info or a site where you can outsource $0.10 type of tasks then I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance. |

I strictly only offer SMS marketing for businesses where I give them the tools to build their own list to market to at their discretion. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but I'm looking to expand on services offered, and I'm looking for suggestions on what else I could offer that would go hand in hand that could easily be outsourced or done on my own. I want to lean more towards outsourcing because I'm extremely busy, and any little hang up could break me right now. I've thought of testing the waters with the following: Web design SEO services (But which? Linking? G-places? PPC campaigns?) Mobile web site design What else? I'm kind of stuck on those above, but I know there is more. Also, how would some of you attack getting new clients just on SMS marketing? We have an amazing business model, and plan built, also a competitive price range. We hit cold calling and cold visits but those only convert so far. I was thinking about referrals from locals, giving them a % per paid client for the life of their contract, etc. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 07:56 PM PDT I have a product review site I started back in Jan targeting 2 KWs, the first KW is "product name" and gets 5000 searches a month. The second KW is "product name reviews" and gets 1000 searches a month. Im targeting both KWs on a 1 static homepage. Within 3-4 months Id say, "product name reviews" jumped to #1 and has been there ever since. Where as "product name" got to about #100 then droped off and has been sitting at spot #5-600 for the last couple months. Ive done just about every type of backlinking possible, linkpushes, AMR, blog comments, social BM, etc. Why is it doing this and what can I do to get it to #1? |

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 07:35 PM PDT So I decided to update my Scrapebox to the latest version to check out the new fixes etc, and now I can't seem to harvest more than 20,000 - 35,000 results no matter how many keywords I type in and I'm not looking for PR9 .edu's I'm looking for just "wordpress blogs" before it would go up to 900,000+ and even into the millions. So far I have used Yahoo pipes to sort out all the parts that have the @ symbol. The emails were in the description so I flipped the description and the title. So, at this point, I have a feed with HUGE paragraph size item.title's, and they all have an email in them. I just need to filter our everything that isn't an email.... Any help? |

I know ill have to buy the domain and hosting but I dont want the sites to be exactly the same. Im not very good with coding but i wanna know a way that I can rip all the coding from that site and modify the minor details like pictures, background, blahh blahh. Im okay with graphic design and feel Im perfectly able to do that myself. I dont really intend on making a lot of money from this site I just want a site that will be useful to people that already use sites like that. | Posted: 24 Aug 2011 05:09 PM PDT Hey all-- disclosure: I have no financial interests in any services beyond my own and this is in no way a paid review. But I did promise Botwiz I would take a look at the Dripable update and here are my thoughts. Originally I was using Dripable along with Linklicious for indexing. The problem has been getting those links found and credited and I had decided to move on to something different. But I went back to Dripable and its partner Nuclear Link Crawler to see if the updates made a difference. The schedule in the Dripable update is pretty straightforward to use but it is a bit confusing. Since I'm on the week free program, I get 600 links per day (GREAT freebie by the way) but if you're scheduling out 600 links over a week, it's hard to figure out how to schedule multiple projects to stay under the maximum. I couldn't get the slider to work (perhaps because I'm on the free program and it doesn't allow you to specify?) so eventually I just scheduled full blasts for each project but on separate days. Overall I would give the scheduling interface a 7 out of 10. I REALLY liked the project settings that allow you make links contextual by adding text before and after them. Great idea. 10 out 10--it's very easy to create and schedule projects. But the bottomline is results right? OK, here's the first report. 331 blog posts and 336 forums. The blog posts were a good mix of dot coms with some .edu thrown in as well and pretty contextual. I put the blog run into Scrapebox and ran the Index Checker. Within an hour of the report being available, 75 out of 331 links are indexed. Now THAT I Like! If nothing else THAT gets a 10++++ in my book. Nicely Done all around! |
