I've been looking at adding cookie stuffing to my tool set but when reading about guys like Shawn Hogan I wonder is cookie stuffing still safe to do?

Well one of my sites hit 1,000 visitors a day. It just kept going up for 3 days or so. My server went down for a few hours since I had to reboot apache not sure what happened but it fucked up. So basically now my traffic is slowly declining everyday by hundreds. It's dropping out of the sky and most of my traffic doesn't even come from the homepage in search engines, most of it from my 12,000 pages of user submitted content. It was going up while I had a content locker on all pages to make some money (my users provide stuff worth unlocking, not just text). I changed the wording a bit making it more clear you'd be able to download what you're looking for after completing rather than just unlocking the page, seems like it was around the time of the drop.

Should I pray it comes back up?

I have a site that sells software. Each time someone buys I manually have to create there account.. Sucks when you are having 10-20 sales a day. I am about to list the site on Flippa and want to automate this, since I think it will be another selling point.

Is there a Plug-In I can use for this? Or should I set up a subdomain - members.mysite.com and use a HTML members area? I already have the exact site set up with HTML and has a full working members area. I would of course rather do this in wordpress, but whatever works the best.

I was thinking about getting an Android tablet, like the Galaxy S, and using it for email/zip submits. But I would need a different IP for each person right? Like if I was at the mall, having multiple people submitting from the same IP, I most likely wouldn't get credit for everyone. Does anyone know if there is an App for proxies? Or if you can simply disconnect then reconnect for a new IP? I know with the Sprint Aircards, you can get a new IP by just disconnecting and reconnecting. Google says you can't have out of place ads that may give the impression that they are not ads. Google says you can't place an ad directly after a title because it is misleading to the reader. They say you can't surround your ad with an image or color that will draw attention to the ads. So what gives Google the right to put ads in a yellow colored box, with a blue arrow pointing to it, directly under the search box and in the same exact format as the links below it? Is it justified by the small print in the top right corner of the box that says "Ads"...

To make this rant in the right BHW category, I'm going to give you a tip that will work for some shady placement that Google doesn't like, but they can't argue that you are breaking any rules. If you have an Article Title, you can place a ad directly below it using any ad size that is ###x15. I think there is 2 sizes; 468x15 and 728X15, which should be picked to match your site size. Now below that, aligned to the left you can put a square that gets the high clicks and have your content to the right and below it. Use about a 300x250 ad block or something that matches your site. What this does is, with the ###x15 ad, it will say "Ads by Google" at the beginning of it and it does what Google wants to seperate the ad box from the title so it isn't "misleading" to the reader. With targeted traffic, I get about 15% CTR with this set up. Below is a picture diagram.

Ok, I have a site that has a pr4 and is about 8 years old.
At the moment i earn between $2000-$3000 per month from it.
It is in a highly competitive market!

for the 3 kw's the hp targets it ranks as

kw1 = page 3 (google)
kw2 = page 16 (google)
kw3 = page 1 (google)

i do have a bunch of other pages that bring in traffic but its kw1 and kw2 that really are the big targets. (kw3 isn't really a big traffic driver)

over the last 2 i have seen serps drop (to the levels stated above)
If im honest i have not really done any seo for 2/3 years as i didnt want to risk the rankings i already had.
As these have now naturally started to drop im in a dilemma on what to do.

I dont really want to risk the income im generating at the moment but if i dont do anything soon and my serps continue to drop i will lose it anyway.

Google dropped one of my sites a few days ago. I have many hosting accounts and I forgot to pay for one, even got a reminder, but its too late now ;). And then I check market samurai and my main page dissapeared in the rankings. All my keywords from rank 8 till 20 disapeard and went to rank 700-1000 or out of top 1000. What is this? Sandboxed? Google Slap?

Yahoo dropped me a few days later as well. I dont know what is happening! Is this because my site was offline for about 1,5 day?

Im targetting a few keywords and my site name has this keywords in its name as well. Maybe I ordered too many services for my fresh domain name :rolleyes:?

I do my scraping with my custom perl program, and here is a little way I found to get better lists.

Anyway, google only returns the 1st thousand results, so when I generate my footprint, I add a random word to the end of it, as if I were targeting blogs in my niche.

For example, instead of "powered by wordpress, 10..100 responses to", I'd put "powered by wordpress, 10..100 responses to, dogs"

This gets me a list of 1000 wordpress blog posts for this query. Then I'll switch "dogs" to "cats" and it'll get me 1000 more. If I had used the original footprint, I'd only get 1000 total, but now, I get 1000 per dogword.

Of course, some overlap, but that's no biggie.

And here is something really odd: A lot of the returned results, in our example, wouldn't even say anything about dogs. Apparently this works as just a switch to get a new list every time! I've gathered umpteen lists that have nothing to do with the word I'm talking about.

I will also disable the like bar and commenting in my video to avoid hostility.

Im thinking of using some sort of content locker thing as i have been seeing on other threads but not 100% sure how to use it.

If you want to install wordpress in your computer or laptop, here is how to do it easily.
Using Xampp you can install php and mysql which is needed to install wordpress, i will explain how i do this in my laptop (windows 7).

First i install Xampp in my laptop, you can download and read the instructions how to instal Xampp, here:
I install Xampp in c:/ directory, so after installed the path to xampp will be c:/xampp/
After installation, open your browser and type hxxp://localhost
this will take you to xampp menu where you can set up password for localhost and phpmyadmin by clicking the Security in the xampp menu.
After you have set the password, click the php myadmin in xampp menu and login with the password that you create earlier which next you can create a database for wordpress.
For creating database, you only need to type a name for the database and click the create new database.

After you follow all the steps above, now your computer is ready to install wordpress. Go to,
and download the latest version of wordpress (zip version), inside the archive there is a folder called 'wordpress' ekstract the folder to c:/xampp/htdocs/
so the wordpress path will be c:/xampp/htdocs/wordpress/ or if you open the browser, type hxxp://localhost/wordpress/
which will take you to the wordpress installation page. But you will see an error page because the configuration file (wp-config.php) is missing. To fix it, click on the "create configuration file"
and fill the database name, mysql user and password with the same that you have made when creating password for php myadmin and creating the database name in xampp.
Next fill the administration for the blog (admin user and password). After that you should have wordpress successfully installed in your computer.

If you wondering why do you want to install wordpress in your computer, here is what i did with wordpress installed in my laptop:
I can test themes and plugins.
I can scrape articles and content for my real blog using plugins like wprobot.

I've had scrapebox nearly 2 months, up until last week (when I moved) everything was working fine. I use the fast poster with 10 fresh, private proxies and I post away with zero if ANY affect on my internet speed. Now when I run scrapebox at my new apartment (with the same setup, private proxies etc) it brings my internet to a screeching halt almost immediately. I can't browse the internet or load webpages etc. As well as the fast poster getting around 1-2% success rate even on AA lists.
I've tried reseting my router, I've tried using a different set of 10 private proxies.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, i have created an adsense account, they accepted me twice. But when i tried to put my ads on my website which is a good website with high quality content and a Good PR, ads are not showing. The problem in my google adsense is saying that robot.txt is blocking the ads. After 12 hours, than google adsense is disabling my account.
This happened twice.

Just to make it clear :
in my robot txt i allow the adsense :

By using Disallow : Google Adsense (Something like that)
I tried also Allow : Google Adsense (The code which should be written to allow google adsense spiders to crawl my content.)

Does any of you know how to fix this problem?

The Prius — recognizable as a Google self-driving prototype from the roof equipment that's smaller than a typical Google Streetview image collector — appears to have rear-ended another Prius.
This is precisely why we're worried about self-driving cars. Perhaps the complicated set of lasers and imaging systems that Google chief autonomous car researcher Sebastian Thrun called "the perfect driving mechanism" thought it was just looking at its shadow.
Earlier this year, Google convinced the state legislature of Nevada to create a special license allowing self-driving cars on the state's freeways, and its been racking up hundreds of thousands of miles in California, where there's no law banning them.
Yet Google has never answered the question of who's ultimately responsible for any accidents that happen while the software controls the vehicle. There's a driver in all of Google's tests who can take control, and probably gets the ticket in this case — but Google imagines these vehicles spreading far beyond its corporate campus.

Google can't be hoping to have its software legally blamed for a slice of the traffic crashes that cost more than $160 billion a year in this country. Yet if the operators of Google's self-driving cars retain all legal responsibility, simply turning the system on would be seen in court as a sign they weren't paying attention. I work for a brick and mortar business, who own 3 sites that rank in the top 15 for their main keywords. However I realized that all three of these are hosting on the same block of Class C IPs.
