10 tips to avoid getting sued for copyright infringement

I'm not suggesting you break copyright law but, these are just some basic tips to help you avoid getting into trouble.

1. Add:
Code:
<meta name="robots" content="noarchive">
to your website

2. block ips of copyscape, archive.org, and similar

Robots.txt code
Code:
User-agent: ia_archiver
Disallow: /
3. host files in another country or one that US copyright law (or whatever country you are from) does not apply in
--> or have another server / free host somewhere else hosting the files of concern

4. use robots.txt to block any content which might be copyright
--> Don't allow search engines to index your images or other content.

5. strip digital signatures and water marks
--> PNG Optimizer
--> Copy the image in photoshop save as different file format
--> Make alterations to the image

6. Block TinEye and DigiMark ip addresses

7. Block the lawyers (or person(s) complaining) IP so if he didn't take a screen shot right away he won't be able to in the future and quickly take down the content. Switch servers and trash the old one QUICKLY.

8. Use secure erasing software to destroy any copies on your computer

9. Don't admit fault without first talking to a lawyer

10. Don't go around bragging that you use/used stolen content.

*BONUS* Upload content from proxy so you can deny that you were the one who uploaded the file(s).

*BONUS 2* Use php or similar language to read refer url. If "law" or "lawyer" is in url auto ban there IP. Have it send you an email alert so you can quickly take removal action before they switch ip or referring site. This might prevent them from collecting screen shot evidence if you get there in time.

- use unique content

I've been dropshipping, and dropshipping a lot. The way we do it is, I list the products, he ships thems, he sends me the trackings, I send him the dropship $. Business has been great and he dropships on time every time. The problem is, we've been doing so much business (50k per month) that now the transfer agents are putting limits on how much I can send per day, week, month, whatever. And they are asking me for paperwork, tax ids etc to prove that I am in business etc etc. It has slowed down my business immensely.

Is anybody else doing business like this? And how do you send your money to your dropshipper if you do?

I have used moneygram, western union, P@ypal. All of them stopped allowing me to send $ because of the frequency and the amounts.

Does anybody have any alternatives to send 7-8k twice a week overseas to countries like China, Vietname, Japan without any headaches?

I will pay or exchange something if someone helps me install squid.

For those bashing, I wanted to put a story on how I got these earnings. I stumbled upon affiliate marketing a few months a go, and decided to actually put effort and start to try and make some monies online. I decided to start with Facebook since that seemed to be the easiest traffic source to optimize and profit off of. I then started trying new things, and finally understood the Facebook Ad traffic system and am able to turn the traffic into leads with my optimized ads that I pay pennies per click, and earn a lot in return. Basically, all my earnings so far are from Facebook Ads.

Quick clear up needed - .htaccess www -> non www

Ok to put it simply.

My site is http://sitename.com and some links im getting seem to be coming from http://www.sitename.com so basically i've added to .htaccess to push all www's -> just http:// and it works fine.

My question is, will this make a difference to my SERPs or "link juice" or anything? Has anyone done this before and seen. I have apparently like 1k links to the www. which I wasn't getting the juice from as it was split. With this redirect will I now have those 1000 BLs added onto my main domain?

If someone could just clear this up that would be great, thanks!

Hey everyone this is my first post here. I've been scoping out the scene for about a month now, great stuff on here. I was impressed by tv's tips and resource list for writing articles online to make a few hundred $$ a week. Signed up with textbroker and 24 hours later I've got $18 bucks in my account lol. Sad amount yes, but its a start right? So, what's next?? Do I scale up? Look at residual writing? It feels like a lot of work for peanuts, 3 articles took me two hours+ to complete. That time can be spent more efficiently, no?

I've been dabbling with IM for years, but always went into every project with a half-assed attitude, so the result was usually half-assed. 8 months ago I began seriously looking for good opportunities to make $100 a day(my goal number to start)

Is there a better way? Or is this the life of an online writer? TB rated me a 4star writer to start, the pay per article is still pretty low, but the site is very professional. Should I be writing for several sites?

User emptyeternity communicated with me for my spin service and then placed a bulk order of over 100 articles to be spin ( value $120 ).
Immediately after receiving the completed 100 spun articles he opened a Paypal dispute claiming a Ebay transaction in which i sold him duplicate content. He did not even tried to contact me and discuss his concern.
I then presented all the evidence of the case with copies of all the emails and all PM's to Paypal, I also gave full access to the case details to Moderator of BHW.

Paypal opened an investigation and ruled in my favor as the evidence was overwhelmingly in my favor.

So i caution all not to deal with this person

I have 2 transactions for my CB account.But both of them do not have anything on the name field.These are my first 2 sales so im not sure how it works.

And on the analytics it shows that I only made 1 sale.Although on the account homepage I made 2 sales.I know cb may be slow but its been a week or so.

Am thinking of buying a cheap .info domain name (with the appropriate keywords etc) and using that to host an iFramed page of an affiliate link... Am wondering does this work for anyone that is currently doing this (in terms of getting conversions etc) ?

If I do decide to use this idea, is their any Javascript or something that will prevent the iFramed page's url (in this case, an affiliate link) from showing in the status area (in FireFox, on the bottom left)?

I have tried iFraming an affiliate link on an unused domain name of mine and when I visit the url I can see my affiliate link in the status bar. I then used bit.ly to try hide it but that doesn't work... It would be good to stop anything showing permanently, no matter what browser a visitor may be visiting the url from...

I've just created my first niche site and I'm very happy, it's got me thinking about how to create more sites.

My next potential project isn't a niche as such but I'm wondering if I can monetize this:

60,000 exact searches each month globally and what looks like very little competition. First place has a few 100 backlinks and a flash site. I should be able to walk all over them.

With this particular niche there are DVDs and books available that I could sell via amazon but I don't think there would be much money in it.

What would be the best thing to do with the amount of visitors generated from 60,000 exact searches?

My computer crashed the other day and so I bought a new one and ripped the hard drive out of the old one and put it in one of those external enclosures, the only issue I have is that I can't get into my folders that have a ton of my data in them like accounts and articles etc. Any of you guys know how I can bypass the protection or whatever it is?

I've done quite a bit of searching and all I find is that I need to change the folders permissions but I mean for the most part I'm not retarded and I've already tried that, I know there has to be a way and if any of you know what I'm talking about any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

So Im looking to make a directory in my local market to basically redirect juice my way. I was wondering if there are any issues in keyword 'stuffing' like this - and further than that, since I will be selling directory space itself, what your opinions are in terms of readability and such:

eg:
- keyword / 5400 exact searches
- keyword company / 720 exact searches

so should I call my site keyworddirectory.tld or keywordcompanydirectory.tld ?

I like the fact that I target 2 keywords with the latter, but am worried that its too long and unattractive as well as possibly look like spam to google?

What does happend if you abuse WP Robot?

Hi, I was wondering what might happen if you abuse a little the WP Robot? I have also the wp spinner plugin, which changes in the background what is gotta be changed, in order that Google won't observe (yet) that is a duplicate content; and how does Google say about a blog who might have 1000 posts per day? or even more. As on WP Robot, you can select to create in a few seconds, how many targeted posts you want. Is my site going to go blacklisted? I still can't find what could go wrong, but something tells me it's not a great idea :/ Hm.. What if I select to create 10 000 posts, which aren't going to be duplicated (wp spinner) , and go to sleep. Next day, all will be completed~ what's next? :confused:

Hostgator doesn't pay affiliates for hosting sign ups,
unless the sign up stays with them for at least 90 days


Question ---
Any better "solution" out there?


Hostgator doesn't care whether the customer pays for 1 or 2 or 3 years
in advance. Since Hostgator doesn't have contract, they are waiting the "90
days" to see if the customer cancels during that time.

OK! I get why Hostgator does this, if someone cancels before the 90 days, they may
not make any money on the hosting, hence why pay me if the customers cancels during that period,
so "I get it"...

I Can't do a "RESELLER" account at this time, so I am stuck being an affiliate

Does anyone have a host that is a little more "liberal" about the timeframe
in which someone has to sign up before they release affiliate commissions?

Got a freaking strange message in my computer while using scrapebox

Well let me tell you that today was the third day of posting coments on scrapebox, I was posting around 50,000 urls in the slow posting mode as they didn't passed the fast posting mode. Everything was normal until I got a freaking strange message in fullscreen on my computer! At that same time scrapebox closed because it got a Windows error. When the fullscreen message appeared I couldn't do anything to get rid of it but at the last that full screen message got away after tricking the computer that I was logging out.

I couldn't understand at all what the message said because everything was in german and I'm not german nor live in Germany! The message title was "bundespolizei", if I'm not wrong this may have something to do with Internet police or something... This message also displayed my real IP, city, country and ISP...

I'm just starting IM and I don't even have 2 weeks with scrapebox and got this message, I always use proxys in everything within scrapebox. Have any of you at least once got a message like this one? Is this just adware, spyware, virus... or is this real shit? Should I've be worried? I'm not in Germany and I'm not in the U.S.

Most of the ones I've tried get as far as entering the CAPTCHA, then it says "your answer was correct. Please copy and paste the text in this text box into the box below" but when I hit "Create My Account" it doesn't work.

I'm hoping someone has a proxy that will let me compete the registration process.

Some of the proxies won't even display the CAPTCHA, but all of the ones I've tried so far that do, they won't let me actually click on the "Create My Account" button.

What would sell on youtube?

Ok so im pretty new at youtube but I have been studying on the topic and think I know just enough to have some decent success promoting that way.

Now my question relates to what I have heard; Most people that use youtube usually won't pull out their credit card for more than the $4-$7 price point.

So my thing is I am preparing to create a $17 product (way underpriced already) to promote there for a very specific untapped popular niche from my research, and I was wondering do you think it would have success since most of the people would actually find my product vital to helping them in their interests?


So do you think $17 would sell well? Or should I attempt to listen to others and go cheaper?
