I just saw a thread asking how to outrank wikipedia. I came across these videos a while back and I found them quite insightful, so I thought I'd pass them along. This won't necessarily help you outrank wikipedia right away, but if you take certain niches and an extended amount of time, it can be done and it has been done.

He mentions some complicated black hat methods (in the first video at about 1:00) which I can go into more details if I get enough people interested. I'll have to make another post for it.

Okay, here's the story:

I went to bed last night with my iPad 2 in my bed. I am 100% sure that I passed out with it in my bed. When I woke up, it was gone. Nowhere to be found.

I took apart my whole room and bed completely and cannot find it. The chances that it got stolen is VERY low because I would have woken up if they grabbed it off my bed.


The only way I can think to figure out if it's still in my house is this:

I need to access my router and find out if the iPad is still connected to the WiFi. It's not a 3G ipad so i can't track it that way.

If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know. I'm starting to think there is a poltergeist in my house..

Anyone else get their sites hacked on the 13th?

Sites on at least 3 servers (1 shared, 2 vps) did for me.

They added a line of javascript to certain pages. Can that be done by sql injection, or something else?

One vps account has no wp installs, the other 2 do.

Hey guys, just a few questions. Anyone that helps me (even if it's more than one) I'll show how to get unlimited adwords vouchers for free. I came up with the method and you've probably never heard of it. I will also show you how to get unlimited vcc's that work with adwords (i use myself) for about $5 a month.

1) my business is simple i buy people's gold and advertise only in new york city. i have access to unlimited adwords vouchers and also have virtual credit cards that work with adwords. basically what i want to do is setup one account with a $100 voucher everyday and use it. i know about changing phone numbers, new ip's, mac cloning, and all that good stuff. also i dont have a website, i just have one image ad with my phone # and details of what i do uploaded to imageshack and i mask my domain to the image link. my question is if i use the same ad groups and same keywords but change everything else for every new account i make (domain, image location, ip, cc#,etc) can adwords still track me?

2) does adwords frown upon yahoo or gmail or other free emails while signing up? what about free domains like .tk (because i want to have a new domain everyday)?

3) how long does it take for a new campaign in a new account to start getting impressions? are all ads manually reviewed all the time?

4) sometimes my new accounts get impressions other times when i create a new account they don't why is this?

What do you guys use now for keyword research?

I am looking for a program to convert my FRAPS videos to a smaller size, right now I have been using Windows Movie Maker to compress the files. Since I have a bunch of files to convert I was looking for an alternative which I could convert multiple files and stumbled across E.M. Total Video Converter. This software was just what I was looking for it could convert multiple video files and was easy to use great my first two videos converted fine. Then a video converts all the way to 100% and I check on the video file and it is 0kb.. I try it again video comes out fine.. this is continuing off and on sometimes the files will convert sometimes they wont, but every time it spends time converting the file and once one fails the rest of the list will fail also. Another problem I am having is lines in the videos sometimes they show up sometimes they don't sometimes bad sometimes not as noticeable all on the same video I tested out. However this converter is converting videos quicker & smaller file size (when they work) then Windows Movie Maker and the color is a lot crisper and not as dual as Windows Movie Maker.

That brings me to my question, what video converting/compressing software are you guys using for FRAPS besides WMM and Total Video Converter. If someone can recommend me a new program that is quality and will shrink my videos down to size while keeping the colors sharp I will have no problem throwing around a few Rep points as a big thank you because I could really use some new software ATM. I did a mini xrumer blast on two inner pages on my site , targetting two very low competition keywords, 900+ xrumer multi tiered links each.

The day after both pages got into page 1 , lasted for 1-2 days and then disapper not to be found in top 100.

Is this normal?When can I expect to see my rankings back? What's to do next, should I perform more blasts?

Sometimes i have low traffic but i will get sales... sometimes i have good traffic but i don't get sales... is clickbank status or reports are instant (i mean live) or take some time to update ?

I use AMR to submit my articles, and I use TBS to spin them first. I usually get a 60 to 70% spin on each article. Some of the articles I write myself and some I get from several email lists I'm on that send me articles every few days. My question is, is spinning an article really necessary? This may be a bad analogy, but if I record a song I'm not going to submit 1000 different versions of that song to 1000 different radio stations. When I spin an article I rearrange it by adding and moving around paragraphs and deleting or adding sentences before I even start spinning it, but no matter how much of a spin you put on an article, it's still the same article just reworded. Isn't the big G going to notice that? This may be a stupid question, but hey I'm a noob and there's still a lot I don't know.

Recently I'm noticing that I'm getting clicks that aren't being assigned to a URL. Today I had 4 of them that earned me almost $8. I'd really love to know where these clicks are coming from so I can optimize the site. Any ideas on how I can discover that?

Is the conversion rate for general free downloaded lists extremely low to the point where it's not even worth it to send to them? I mean lists that can be found freely on the internet such as the first page of this board. Is it really worth it to purchase targeted lists?

Well I was thinking today and I worked out this small method that works great.
Basically all you do is find a picture that is scary doesn't have to be anything spectacular hell just do blue waffle that scares people shitless.
THIS GUIDE COULD EARN YOU ANY WHERE FROM $0.001 to $99999 a day depending how much you use this method and how many accounts etc.. (you can do this on your normal facebook account though it could be risky of getting it banned I honestly don't know if it would)

so here are the steps

step 1. Find a scary picture.
Step 2. convert it to a adf.ly link
Step 3. Go to your facebook account or a fake account and do what is show in the following picture.

Step 5. try get your friends to answer it the more people that answer it the more accounts it's exposed to. (people LOVE any thing that will give them a good scare so scary pictures work well)


Tips:
Tip 1.
Try use a site like tinyurl or something with a .com in it to redirect to the adf.ly link since people are more use to seeing .com then .ly

Tip 2.
Instead of using adf.ly you could use something like linkbee since instead of the wait between in the link it goes straight to the picture just with an ad above the picture.

Tip 3.
The more people exposed the more people will answer and go to the link.

Tip 4.
Try aim the audience at teenage boys and girls specially girls since they love scary things.

Tip 5.
Try make the question better then I have done it in that picture.

Note: if one friend does the question then it will show up on their friends recent news section on facebook so then it gets exposed to your friends friends and then if they do it then your friends friends friends etc..

So I wanted some pointers from the experts. I have been working my ass of to make a decent income and I want to make sure I don't get banned from my one adsense account or get de-indexed from google search. What are some things I should stay away from doing? I have about 10 sites right now and most have the same theme, is that bad? What else can you think of? I've been following this site for a while but never properly got involved. After reading a fair deal I've decided on a course of action to start earning money online... writing informative eBooks.

I got my main kick up the arse from the ramblings of the bloke on this thread: (edit: can't post links, it's the one entitled "My success story. 500k/month."). The actual IM information I gleaned from this thread was that with enough products you can make yourself a substantial income after the initial hard work. I realised quite early on that you can't really make any money in life if you don't put in lots of hard work prior, and I think that's an incentive as it's all the more better when it pays off.

So, I've created this thread to keep y'all documented and updated, and to motivate myself. So here's my plan....

I want to begin with 10 eBooks. I've ever so crudely worked out that a 100 page eBook is around 60,000 words. Now this seems like a fair amount, but in a good day I can quite easily crack out 8,000-10,000 words a day, especially with proper research. And I can always write less, I just think that 100 pages seems like a good ball park to aim for and if it's less - and I've got all the information in - then that's a bonus.

I'm aiming for £1000 a month by using two separate assumptions:
1) If I sell (on average) each eBook for £20, then I'll need to sell 50 eBooks a month, or 5 of each a month.
2) If I sell them for £50 then I need to sell 20 in total, or 2 of each a month.

I'm using the numbers game here, but I think it's better to have these initial goals set so I can work towards them. And of course if by the end of the year I've written, say, 50 eBooks and each one sells for £20 and I sell 5 of each a month then that's a cheeky £5000 per month. Not bad.

I've got six months off from uni so I think that 10 is a good target.

As for the actual eBooks, to begin with I'm going to/have done research into areas that I know quite readily about and concentrate on these. Then I can diversify as I get more comfortable. I think I might also buy DNS so I can get words out even quicker.

So what do you guys think? And also could anybody suggest some good eBook software that makes everything look professional.

Ok, there is a site that I always go on and I just noticed that the domain expired. It's a PR3 and it has 700 backlinks. The guy doesn't even monetize it lol and it's not ranked for much but it gets mad traffic from the sites that are linking to it.

The domain has been expired for a week. How long before it becomes available to the public?
