I bought a 5k blast for 2 keywords for my site. They're keywords with not a lot of traffic, but very little competition. I made second page with just a couple of social submissions and backlinks, but with the service I bought here my rankings totally fell. From #4 spot and rising, I fell to second to last on the page. I am just blasting off AMR on my Tier 2 and I had manually signed up with the default list, bought list and a few of my own list combined. I have around 3500 confirmed/OK directories that I signed up the other day. A couple of days ago, I blasted to around 500 only non-wp directories with PR 3 and above and got a good submitted rate of 60% or so. Today too, it was working fine and it was like 300 submitted and 190 failed as it approached 500 directories. But after that it seems the wp list or maybe the AMR default list came up and it has been nearly pathetic. 90% of the directories are reporting "not accepting articles" and now I am at a pathetic rate of only 370 submitted and 1600 failed and it is over 2000 directories churned now. Anyways else noticing this crap. I mean in the last 1500 OK/Confirmed directories, only 70 got submitted. WTF. I understand "not accepting articles" but almost every directory not accepting articles is weird. I am using my own hosted database as they advised a few weeks ago. Not sure if that is the reason of the problem but this is really shit and that is all I can say. Anybody else facing such crappy submission rates.

So last winter, my adsense income was rising nicely and all I was doing was creating content for web 2.0 sites like Hubpages and similar sites. No backlinking, no KW research, just wrote about everyday products and issues. Web 2.0s got good traffic and conversions so there was no need to do anything but write and post.

Well that was before Panda attack. As you know, these sites have been decimated along with my income.

So after weeks of brainstorming, I realized that we all try to give google what they want, and they change the rules anyway and knock us back. I decided to restart my online income not doing what google wants.

So as a test I created a simple little golfing blog in blogger using PLR articles. I didn't even rewrite them. I put up about 30 posts, some images, tacked in 2 adsense blocks near the top and done.

Now to implement my non-google traffic strategy. I use social submitter 2.7 as my social bookmarking tool and I noticed it has a category selection option, like sports or travel etc when it creates links. So for 2 days, all I did was bookmark my posts and my main site but I was careful to ensure everything went into a sports or related category.

The theory was, people are on social sites, and people browsing the categories have an interest in sub niches, like golf and some are likely to follow a link to a blog about that niche and might even click an ad.

At first I didn't see any visitors to the site, but then about 2 or 3 weeks later, I started getting some, 3 or 4 a day. It was a start, but it kept increasing until it settled around 30 or so a day. Thats on par with what a lot of people expect as a minimum from a normal MNS site.

The site makes about $5 or 6 per month over the past 6 months. Not too bad for very little work and no cost. But consider I don't have to ever worry about SERPS or algo changes or competitors or anything google does. All I need to do is rinse and repeat.

Sometimes not doing what you are expected to is the path to success.

This post is purely for the fun of it.

Today I was working a new email camp and I created a php redirect to my offer page so that I could double check CTR (Interspire is first check) and so that I would have NO DOUBT that the traffic was coming from this camp.
I started with only 1500 targeted leads (laser targeted, so even 1500 pisses me off that I burned them).
Next to no response but a bit of non referral direct traffic.... Anyway I eventually get an email from someone saying that they are very interested in my offer, but the links don't work... In fact, they took the time to copy and paste the link into the browser with nothing.

HOLY CRAP I SENT 1500 emails without proper links it was: "redirect.php" when it should have been "my.com/redirect.php"
Not only that, but I should have had the full URL in the alternative link TO BEGIN WITH!!!!
So the only people that got the right links were the plain text peeps.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, I FEEL LIKE A F*CKING IDIOT...
Obviously, fixed... life goes on...

So I finally decided it was time to take some action, and I'm trying quite hard to succeed at this.
I have found a niche which, for my chosen keywords, google recieves well over a million searches (both local and global). It has low competition.

So far I have bought the domain name (an exact match .info site). I have hosting, and have installed wordpress and started writing articles. I have set up a sitemap, and have ensured that both bing and google are aware of it.

I am doing CPM ads from contextweb (still awaiting approval), and ppc ads from adbrite (avoiding adsense for two reasons - I use it on a legit site, and adbrite will have less advanced tracking that big G).

Once I have a few more articles added, I am going to start submitting videos to youtube which link to my site (and use vagex to increase views), and possibly use some of the black hat resources to start generating backlinks to the site.

After that I will begin purchasing traffic from one of the vendors on here. I want the traffic to grow as organic traffic grows.

Once I have at least 1000+ unique views a day, I may have people from microworkers click on my adbrite links. I am still weighing my options on this one, since it is dangerous.

At that point I will also open another site, and follow the same methods.
So, with that said, does my plan sound ok? Anyone have any advice for a newbie?

registed a domain and used vendio as my ecommerce site solution (free) then changed names and solutions so the site is fairly bare except for a link saying "visit us on our new site here"..did a check this morning on serp rankings for the domain and to my surprise it suddenly ranks on the 5th page of google for what I think is a hard KW, you guys tell me if I am wrong.

8.5 million results when kw is typed into google
700,000 results intitle
600,000 in url results
41,000 exact match searches every month on KW

I have done little to know SEO on the site for about 2 months, it is NOT an exact or partial match domain, just a generic domain name.

Has what I consider a bunch of "junk" links from fiver gigs and one gig I bought here for the site. The gigs I bought on fiver were blog comment gigs, edu link gigs and I bought the Linkwheel gig here which is supposedly a no no nowadays.

What I am thinking of doing is moving the domain to my current host and setting it up as a WP blog to try to optimize it for SEO.

My question, should I bother? another question, when I move it does the site keep all the BL's and the Page rank?

We all need a starting point to gather some money, and as a former newby I know that every beginner looks for easy and fast money. The easier the better!!! Only after doing this for a while and not giving up you come to realise that you actually need to do some work to make the real bucks.

But since very few noobs accept this fact, here is an easy method that should bring you some start up money to proceed further.

I hope I don't need to explain what video sharing is, as you should at least know that. There are several sites that pay you per 1k or 10k views and some have pretty good rates. I'm sure you've all heard of Megavideo though this is not the one I recommend you to use. There are a lot of other better choices.
So start by making an account on one or two of the following sites:

NOVAMOV: non-affiliate link - pays 10$ per 1000 views monthly

PUTLOCKER: non-affiliate link - pey per level scheme monthly (check out the site)

VIDEOBB: affiliate link; non-affiliate link - up to 30$ for 10k views, weekly

VIDEOZER: affiliate link; non-affiliate link - up to 25$ per 1k views weekly

I used to work with two sites simultaneous for better profits. Heck, if you have the time and patient you can work with all of them!

So, now that you have your accounts it's time to start uploading. All you have to do is use REMOTE UPLOAD. For this there are several options:
1. Use Remote upload > web and you can only use mediafire links. You can find a lot of mediafire links on filestube. Or, you can go directly to a site like minishares[dot]org and grab the latest tv-shows from there. You just need to copy the mediafire link, press upload and in just a couple of minutes your video will be ready to be shared

3. Use Remote upload > Video hosting and grab funny videos from Youtube. Use Facebook, Twitter whatever to make the videos go viral and you're sitting on a small goldmine

A client called me the other day ecstatic that they are ranking in the top 10 for a long tail keyword which was good news considering I literally had just started to do off page optimization for them only a few weeks ago.

The keyword they came up for was what I call collateral damage as the keyword was close to the keyword I was going for but just a longer tail.

For keyword tracking I have been using SEO Powersuite Rank Tracker or the more recently SERPAttacks that was posted in the download section since it can provide the granularity of a per keyword basis. For domain level (ie. type in a domain and all of the keywords that it is ranking for come up) is SEM Rush but I'm finding it to be unreliable.

So far, the Search box has not been my friend. Are there any tools that mimic SEM Rush but are more reliable. At this point I'll even consider a less reliable tool.

I have used free(trial) Visual Studio 2010 Express, and everything was excellent until i wanted to create the actual exe file.
