Buyer Scam?

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 06:42 PM PDT

I have an item up for sale on eBay.
The auction has gone up to $500 which is how much it usually costs on retail.

The highest bidder currently has no feedback.
I'm worried it might be a scam because who would buy something on eBay from a seller with no reputation for MSRP?

Anything I should look out for? Tell tale signs?
Thanks

Sooo everybody from the Bay, raise your hands!

Using proxies on craigslist

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 05:46 PM PDT

Does anyone post locally on craigslist using a local proxy (or does that even matter). I have my personal IP maxed out with local listings, but I wanted to expand (and need to also verify phones, which is another issue).

Do I need to find a local proxy to use for this, or would any proxy work so that they don't see too many posts from my IP.

Do I need to Rewrite Content for Landing Page

it was a new kind of money making method but it was deleted so it seems. is it because ewhoring is here probably not allowed or what happened?

Will this work?

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 04:43 PM PDT

If I was to write down 5 main keywords on my website and use css to hide it from visitors, such as making it move 90000px to the left. Will this boost my seo? I don't feel like writing unique content for my website.

Thanks in advance.

LED lights use about 1/8 the electricity of normal lighting and can last 20 years but cost about $13-20 per light bulb depending on the lumens. Which means that most people would not consider buying them.

I was thinking about in my area starting a company that sells them on a payment plan,or renting them out. Do you think people will be willing to rent something that will save them money?

Best method to distribute a free app

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 02:32 PM PDT

With the Christmas shopping season nearly upon us I'd like to learn the best way to distribute a free, very useful, shopping app that allows me to attach my own affiliate ads which display when the app is being used. I've seen discussions on BHW on this topic, but for the life of me can't find them. Can someone please point me in the right direction? A thread talking about this or a good site that allows the distribution of free apps. thanks

Best car under 50k?

Right now I am interested in a 2011 Camaro SS Convertible, A 2007 mercedes benz roadster, or a corvette (used 2008-2009 zo6 or 2010-11 base model)

What would you guys buy?

I'm putting around 15k down, so financing won't be too bad.

[Journal] My authoritative adventure to $50/day (from nothing)

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 02:19 PM PDT

Summary
- I've almost reached my 2 month mark of being on BHW and I want to commit to something.
- I am going to tackle some broader authority sites in order to make me $50/day within 5-6 months.
- I will start with 1 site and prior to launch, will write about 20-50 articles before opening to search engines.
- The first domain is only 2-3 months old.
- I will be using Wordpress. I will find a proper theme later, or make one.
- Revenue will be primarily adsense based.
- I will write periodically to update status and note feedback to adjust/enhance method.

Tools I will use immediately
- Keyword Scout - This seems to be a perfect choice for my purposes, especially with the LSI Keyword addon and SEO Competition addon.
- Treepad (free version) - This is just to help organize my keywords.

Tools/Services to Use
Note: (I wont use these until I hit between 50-100 posts)
- SenukeX Services - variety of backlinks is always great.
- Scrapebox - For scraping high PR blogs and manually/semi-automatically commenting
- Article Writing Services - outsourcing content seems to make sense once I make a bit of money

Wordpress Plugins Used
- Yoast Wordpress SEO + SEOPressor (For General SEO Purposes/Handling)
- Akismet, Link Juice Keeper, Quick Cache, Simple 301 Redirects, WP SlimStat, Google Privacy Policy, Image Lazy Load, jQuery Lightbox

My Plan
- For every Authority Site, grab a broad niche. Create 10-15 categories to post in.
- Lock down wordpress from search engines. Immediately Write a total of 30-50 articles (500-800 words).
- Open to search engines and write 3-5 posts every day (or more, if time allows). Add adsense.
- Get targeted ideas from Keyword Scout research and article ideas from Google Alerts.
- After a decent amount of articles are created, I will start to backlink using various tools such as AMR, SB, SenukeX, etc.
- Once I start getting clicks for adsense, split test different ad types/locations
- I will also incorporate any suggestions/ideas that are given to me here.

**********************************
Day #1:
- Created 11 categories based around the broader niche.
- Chose a temporary theme to help visualize things (eNews Theme)
- Took each of those categories and grabbed keyword ideas from Keyword Scout. (600-800 LSI in total)
- Took each of those categories and created Google Alerts.
- Filtered duplicates of keyword ideas and stuck them into Treepad for organization.

Gold 101: Avoid Taxes & Lawsuits

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 01:47 PM PDT

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone has EXPERIENCE -- no armchair theorists please -- with running a large site that may be grey or black market, providing customers a service or product they want, but not totally legal, and you ended up taking $ out or transferring it to buy Gold, either eGold or Gold stored in a vault somewhere?

1-How do you get everything anonymous with such a public display, so in the spotlight?

2-How did you get the money "out"? I can open a paypal now, sure, i dont need anything. I can even get money to it with almost nothing... but taking it out anonymously, thats a whole different can of worms, so paypal becomes a pretty s***ty choice. Add to that you're doing LARGE volumes, and now the discussion has changed entirely

3-Assuming you did that in 2, how did you use it to buy gold, and how did you make sure that your gold was not some ripoff fly by night operation, and it was safe from prying eyes, governments, etc?

Looking for people with EXPERIENCE here, people who make craploads of money because I've made a decent amount and am on the verge of making a f***ton... looking for possibly a friend/ally for life in this thing, as weird as that sounds. We gotta stick together because this world is quickly falling into disarray... just look at the situation in the US, socially, economically, politically... disaster. Google Ron Paul btw people... our only hope, heh.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

A 16-year old's road to $500/day

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 01:38 PM PDT

(thanks to hellohellosharp for the inspiration to make this thread)

Hey guys!

You have either heard of me, or probably seen me around. Well, let me introduce myself for those who do not know me: My name is SpK, and I am a software developer. I am currently 16 years old (17 in 6 months), and I've been on the internet a long time lurking around.

How did I get into programming, making money, and so on? Well the story is long, but I will try to make it as short as possible.

I was 10 by the time I got my hands on my first PC, and I spent 2 complete years of my life learning basic stuff they teach us on school like Word and Excel. I then started playing games (those flash based ones - mostly on Miniclip). They eventually got boring, so I wanted a quick way to get lots of gold or whatever, and stumbled upon those things called trainers. I downloaded a lot of malware, but they got me gold :D

So I got interested in building such myself, and got into programming. I tried my best as a 6th grader to understand the .NET environment, but I just did not understand it at all.

I moved on, and got into PPC sites, and got like $0.5 after 2 weeks of clicking ads, which I actually thought was a really good achievement by that time. I then started downloading auto-clickers for those sites, and the softwares just amazed me. I really wanted to make those, but I just didn't know how. So I let my thoughts about bots rest. I cashed out of most of the PPC sites, and there is particular website (bux.to) that still owes me $15 from ages ago! Damn bastard scammers.

After going through trying to learn .NET, trying to make money, and so on, I was stuck. Making this low amount of money just didn't cut it, I needed to think smarter. I needed to think outside the box.

I then started getting interested in the art of hacking for some reason after watching the movie Hackers. I signed up on HackForums, and other hacking community sites, and I learned a lot about RATs, BNets, DDoSing, HostBooters, and god knows what. And again, I saw those coders making the software, and I was getting more excited about learning programming every time, so I sat down and thought to myself: if I learn this, I can pretty much do anything I want...

I had a good thought about it and I bought lots of books regarding the subject, and all of them were very frustrating. Then I discovered the amazing website YouTube. Not only did I learn C# in 2 weeks by watching tutorials, I also learned to do lots of other stuff like tearing a yellow-pages book apart with your hands, and so on. It was really new to me. (of course I've been there before when our teacher showed us stuff at school, but this website was very new at that time)

Fascinated by how much you can learn from this site, I came across lots of videos with links on them that tricked me to do CPA offers. Fast-forwarding a few years later after I learned how to code software close to fluently in C# and VB, I looked back and said: if those videos tricked me, they sure can trick others, and make money. I didn't want to trick people, so I started actually downloading keygens for Photoshop and so on, and upload it to ShareCash, and make money of this. This was a new thing to me, because I made WAY more than I had before. I knew programming, and I had recently discovered a good way to make money, so why not scale up and stop doing it manually? I started coding automated software, bots if you like, to upload videos for me and all that good stuff. I was happy with making $20/week, which at that time was a lot for me.

I looked at many many methods for making money, and I could make a huge list if I had the time. A few of those include buying multiple books and video tutorials on how to design logos. I did freelance GFX on www.99designs.com and won 2 contests, $750 each, which was a huge amount for me. The payouts depends on the author and if he likes the work, so this was not a stable income at all, and I moved back to YouTube again.

From PPD sites to all types of things I started to think, after that my friend paid me $10 for my bot.. if I can benefit, people can as well, so why not make a public bot for selling? That's how YouToob got developed. FYI, here is the first version:
http://choopd.com/?h=1cf9916efcf1c4531292b9351dcbaa81

And this is the last (69 updates later):
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1411921/Screenshot2.png

By coding for the public I had to keep lots of things in mind: updates, support, and all those things, and it helped me become a better coder (judging from the screenshots, you can see for yourself)

I got into lots of projects after that: Viewet, YouToob FE, Tubenoia (and others I can't say for some private reasons), and I was getting good money from my tools (except Tubenoia - that was a fail), so I stopped doing the marketing stuff I used to do, and I've kind of been thrown out of the bandwagon - so I am working hard now to get back to CPA+YouTube.

I hope I motivated people at my age on here to do your best and never give up. I've been put through lots of shit in my life, but I've never backed away from anything. Tubenoia was a huge rage - but I turned it completely around and explained it in a good way so my customers understand.

For all young people out there: be creative, think outside of the box (I know you can, you have so much potential - all of you), and always scale up when you got a good working method. And if you ever think of giving up, don't. That is the most stupid thing you can do, and I learned that the hard way.

For those who says that I jump a lot from project to project: it have all been a experimental period for me, and I am still learning a lot. And for those who do not like me - I am sorry if you have a old impression of me, but I have changed a lot on my path. I've found out that we should never have enemies in this world, because in some way we will both benefit from each other one point in time!

I'm working hard every single day to come up with new things to scale up the income stream, and you my friends should do as well. This is the internet, there is millions of ways to make income, it's just about who hunts them down first :)

If you have any questions feel free to leave here and I will do my best to answer them.

Will I get penalized for owning tier-2 sites linking to money site?

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 01:30 PM PDT

I want to create about 3-4 blogs that I will own (all different domains) to link to my money site. The blogs will all be a similar subject as the money site, but I will not be interlinking the blogs to each other. Eventually I want to optimize the blogs to make them appear to be authority sites linking to my money site.

Since I'm not interlinking the sites, will I get penalized if I do this? If so, what will I need to do to not worry about getting penalized for this?

Can I just host these all on my server with different C-class IPs and different nameservers and then turn on whois privacy for the domains?

using a free site to direct traffic to my affiliate? need advice.

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 01:18 PM PDT

hey I just very recently, as of a few days ago decided to give internet marketing a go.

the site I am trying to get people to sign up on is a 000webhost free site, I am advertising a free affiliate software. all that's required from them is they enter name and email and I get a $1.75 commission.

however, I'm really lost at the moment. I have made a craigslist add, and posted on some blogs but nothing has bitten the hook yet.

Should I continue trying to monetize this Free site? or invest in something long term like say ipage hosting with a good domain name. I'm getting zero results in google when I type my site up.

Thanks for any help in return.:o

Complete Tax Avoid/Anon Solution

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 01:10 PM PDT

Hey guys, I need a concrete solution, as I'm on the verge of starting 2 new businesses. If you DONT know what you're talking about from PERSONAL experience, please dont post as it'll only confuse me. Experienced sellers only please, US citizens abroad preferred.

I'm a US citizen, living in China/Hong Kong.

I'm on the verge of starting a clothing business which is DEFINITELY going to make a lot of money. (I've got a thread somewhere else about it, in addition to the legit clothes, theres also possibility of knock offs/ real ones as well, but EXTREMELY risky). Also, I'm going to be inventing a product that may revolutionize this particular industry.

This other business, is online goods. It interacts with a hugely popular software, and there's a high possibility of getting sued.

I have 2 bank accounts set up in Hong Kong in a friend's name (Chinese PRC citizen), and that's all I have right now.

I could open up a legit paypal for both bank accounts, but that seems like a road to disaster...

The legit clothes business (not knockoffs, but high quality originals which is totally legal), I want to avoid IRS or taxes of any kind. Vote Ron Paul in 2012. We are not our governments slaves, and I dont live in the US I should not be paying taxes, esp when most of it goes to interest on the debt created by a corrupt federal reserve system... anyway, so tax avoidance.

Second, the POTENTIAL under the ground highly risky knockoff/real goods aspect of it, where we can get A-grade knockoffs (called A huo), or the ACTUAL product, say Coach, makes 140 and theyve got some material left, some is made under the table, this is called "yuandan".

The third thing, the online virtual goods stuff. Its both tax avoidance, AND not getting sued. This is not a cheating customers thing, in fact NONE of it... think about it more like a ton of Napster stuff, where the downloaders get what they want at the expense of the big company, but the risk from the big company, and the IRS, is huge.

Lastly, this "revolutionizing" this particular industry... if you had an idea for a product, and you knew it was goin to make a ton of money, what would you do to isolate yourself from it as much as possible (set up companies, LLCs, trusts, what), so that you could make a ton of money from it, but have it have very little connection to you, and even if the connection was discovered, none of it would be recoverable.

If you can prove to me you're an expert in this stuff I'd be willing to work out some kinda partnership, to be honest more than anything I need a rich friend, because that's what I'm going to be soon.

This is all launching right NOW. We have all the products (no fakes or yuandan, tho like i said thats an option), and the ONLY thing stopping us is me figuring out how to protect myself for all the money we're gonna make. This online thing with the getting sued risk, this is also only a couple months away from starting, and things are moving right along.

I need a complete, anonymous, merchant solution, that I can accept payments from the global masses with, and change quickly as necessary, and continue selling just as quickly.

Sorry to be so vague, this site is a Godsend, I've probably aged 2 years the last 2 weeks just stressing out about what to do. The money is there to be made... my anxiety is actually making it.

Please send me PMs if youre a potential friend for life with this kinda stuff.

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 12:55 PM PDT

I need some help identifying what kind of material this is if anyone knows, I have a general idea of what it could be but I am looking for advice from others as well. For the time being I am just going to post the pictures to see what kind of advice I can get from them. Later in the post I will explain where the metal came from. Besides Identifying the metals I am also wondering where I could go to get it checked out to determine the amounts of metal in it.. not your average post I know but I always come here first for advice I need to find some metal forums lol.

Asia Expat Selling A 貨 / 原單

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 12:48 PM PDT

White dude living in Asia here, fluent in Mandarin.

My GF and I are starting a business, which is why I joined this site. Her fashion sense is pretty much the best I"ve seen in my life, or I wouldn't do it.

Anyway the main stuff is legit, other than avoiding taxes/government stuff of any kind. Cheap, super high quality, really beautiful clothes, shoes, accessories. Straight up competition with Gucci, Bvlgari, etc.

However, there's another aspect, one we're not focusing on and i didnt think of til i came across this site. The 2 in the title are A huo/goods, and yuandan/Originals

A Good are like, knockoffs that are virtually indistinguishable from the real thing.

Originals are ACTUALLY the real thing, so like, Gucci makes 140 bags, but there is still some material left over, and they make a few extra at the same factory, and sell em under the table.

The risk is EXTREMELY high. These companies have money, and fight.

If anyone wanted to do something like this, I would basically need someone who could literally coach me from the ground up on how to be fully anonymous... I've gotten a good 3-6month head start, reading authors like JJ Luna.

But if someone could do this, and was also interested in the business and making some dough, please get in touch and let me know how to proceed.

My New Blog

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 12:27 PM PDT

SO I just started IM like 2 weeks ago, made a blog did SEO and everything made a facebook page. And Today I searched my keyword, and the facebook page (With just a link to my website on it) is on page 2 (has like 700 likes), and my website is on like page 5 (has 4 backlinks indexed, but there are actually a few thousand)

I am so happy, just thought Id share.

And Is it good if im in top ten for a keyword with 50k monthly searches, and I only have 5 backlinks so far, that have been found?

Comparison of services for Micro Niche Domain Promotion

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 12:27 PM PDT

I recently purchased 5 micro niche domains:
domain1.org
domain2.net
domain3.org
domain4.org
domain5.org

I wanted to do some link building for them (obviously) and thought I would use a few of the services on BHW and track the progression of each domain.

Also by the way I am a noob when it comes to MNDs so please bare with me:)

Anyway, so I ordered my sites from Star Entrepreneur:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...l-service.html

I have left all of them live for a week and they all average 0-1 visitors per day at the moment (Understandable as no work has been done on them).

Today I have ordered/am ordering the following:
domain1.org
$10 package from:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...available.html
$10 package

domain2.net
profile pack 1 ($15 review copy):
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...ct-review.html

domain3.org
$8 profile backlinks:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...eap-offer.html
(This service I know is good from past experience)

domain4.org
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...-available.htm
$20 package (115 one way links)

domain5.org I am looking for services - my budget is $5-$15 each site, anyone got suggestions?

PS If this is a boring thread just say:)

Like Script on Video Page

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 12:14 PM PDT

Hey all,

I was just browsing my facebook feed and saw a friend liking a strange video.

So I clicked the link and it was a normal website with a video in it, the only thing is that in the video player, the play button triggers the "like" script. If you are not connected to your facebook account you cannot see the video.

Anyone have this script?

My adsense is disabled - i'm in club now

Posted: 25 Oct 2011 11:43 AM PDT

I't little sad for me, but i will must "reborn"
For last years adsense was great, now it's gone.
I have almost 1400 euros... and i lost it...
No prob. Now will start with new website, new strategies. I will try some cpa's.
Let's see.
The saddest part is that i lost account after i receive the "payment issued" confirmation, and i not violated their ruls.
I write back, and now i'm waiting a little response, if i get one.
That is, life is interesting.
