Building links with zero content.

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 08:50 PM PST

Probably an odd question, but something I was thinking about earlier today when a friend of mine was looking to start linking immediately with zero content ( he bought articles off fiverr and was looking to do something ).

So would building links to your site without any content do anything? When you put the content up obviously you would rank for whatever your tareting, but could you potentially start link building even before you have content posted?

Using multiple adwords vouchers

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 07:41 PM PST

Hey everyone,

Im trying to figure out a process on the best way to use multiple adwords vouchers.

I currently can get accounts approved as i use different domains, use legit looking billing info and i dont have any affiliate links on the site.

The keywords i am bidding on are really expensive so my only option is to run multiple accounts split between different locations in order to get a decent amount of traffic per day.

The problem is that google adwords detects duplicate landing pages if they are run on more then one account. Creating new lps that are good enough that they convert will be too much work for the amount of time i have in the evening (damn day job).

Does anyone have any advice on how to get around this? Tips on minium changes to website, use a flash website, make all content hidden in an image etc.

So many people are buying vouchers in bulk so i know there must be a way to streamline the process.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, i'm finally back with SENuke. I have a question, which the forums don't seem to "exactly" answer... I've read that SENuke can be set up on 3 computers, but not how this is done. If you can refer me to a link, that would be sufficient, or simply answer me. I'd like to set it up on my work computer, home computer, and girlfriends computer, as i'm more often than not over there.

Do i simply download the software, do a fresh install on computer i want it on, and simply put in my normal login information as i use on my on computer?

Also, will running projects on one computer force me to run the same project on other computers, or can i run different projects on different computers (i guess im asking if they are connected)?

Email posts -> forum

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 06:43 PM PST

I have been part of a yahoo group for many years so I have emails that stack up by the thousands. All this content is seemingly unique.
When I search for any of the content in the threads in multiple search engines I cannot find it. The posts are hidden from the engines because you need to log in to see content.
I was thinking of turning this into a forum and using all the emails as posts. Is this a good idea or is their some flaw that I haven't thought of?

[Guide/Journey] Facebook for Dummies (Made for newbies, by a newbie)

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 06:40 PM PST

Hello!

Recently I've been getting into Facebook PPC and learning everything I can about it. Since most of the knowledge I've learned through BHW, I feel like it should only be fair that I record my journey and provide a semi-guide so people starting out don't make the same mistakes I do.

Disclaimer: Am I a pro? No, not at all. But I am seeing success through my efforts and I want to share what worked and what didn't work. And as a fairly new advertiser to Facebook, I can provide a newbie perspective.

Why Facebook?

Originally I was deciding whether to do Adwords or FB, but eventually settled on FB. The reason was that I do not have the $$ to compete with the big boys in Adwords and being new to PPC, I feel FB would be easier competitor wise. Now, don't get me wrong, Adwords is great, but FB definitely has it's advantages.

So what are the advantages? In my opinion FB has a very good system on targeting your ads. When people initially sign up they have to fill out their interests. Here's an example:

hxxp://i.imgur.c0m/BWTH7.jpg (Can't post pictures or link them yet. Replace xx and 0). Now looking at his profile you can tell he's a music fan that listens to all sorts of pop, but has interests in classical. It also seems he plays the violin.

One thing that I feel people do not mention enough is you have to make sure what you're goal as an advertiser is when using Facebook and MORE IMPORTANTLY the people are you are advertising to.

Advertiser:This is pretty obvious: to make money. But you have to ask yourself, are you in it for the long-term or the short-term gain? By short term I mean, advertising a CPA offer, while for long term you would build a fanpage, build up a list, and then use that list to promote products of their interests. Facebook can help with both, but long-term (from my tests) is definitely more easy to do.

User: Now here is the most important thing you have to consider and understand is Facebook is not a platform for you to sell things. It simply doesn't work well. Whereas with Google, people are looking for reviews and recommended products, people on Facebook are socializing, connecting with friends, or sharing what they like. It is crucial to keep that in mind.

Now Let's Begin

Obviously, if you haven't you're going to want to make an account (yes this guide is that newbie). In fact even if you do have an account, make another one. Facebook likes to ban and it would suck to have your main account banned. Once again- do not use your main account to advertise. Now if you already have a niche in mind to target, it would be good for you to fill in your interests as that niche. For example say your niche is dog lovers, put your interests as poodles, german shepards, pitbulls, etc.

Pro-tip: The dog market is saturated at the moment and is resulting in a lot of bans. In fact pets in general at the moment are pretty hard to get into.

Now you have your advertising account you're ready to move to the next step. Setting up ads, billing, and payment.

Facebook accepts PayPal,but requires a credit card too. Don't think I need to explain much here. HOWEVER, for new accounts (like the one you just made) are allowed to use $50 ad coupons. You can find these for cheap here or on E-bay (~$2.99). There is absolutely no reason not to buy them, unless you enjoy losing money...

So once you have your account and billing set up, it's time to go make some ads and earn money! Now remember, I previously said: you can try to make fast money on Facebook, or go for a long-term strategy. I'll cover both as I have a current fanpage and promoting CPA offers, but I can already tell you my fanpage is doing much better (but I haven't monetized it yet :X). For now, I'll cover CPA offers since most people are impatient and want money right away.

KNOW THESE SITES

Actually, regardless of what approach you want to take, there are three websites I highly recommend when deciding your niche. It kinda sucks that I can't link yet, so I'll just name them:

pagedata.appdata(dot)com

quantcast(dot)com

Google Insights

Choosing Your Niche
Unlike making a website, you're not looking for golden keywords, exact domain matches, etc, because for now you aren't trying to rank in any search engine. Instead, put yourself in the shoes of a Facebook user and think what's trendy and popular or what's easy to share. Now the best topics would be those that have both CPA offers and long term fanbase so you can build both a fanpage while still throwing out some CPA offers. If you have no idea where to start, head over to pagedata. In my opinion, it's the least useful of my recommended sites, but still take a look. It shows the weekly and daily growths of Facebook pages. If you're promoting CPA offers you can see what's "hot" right now and if you plan to make your own fanpage, you can also get some ideas. I like to look at the daily gainers, choose a category that I'm interested in and look at fans 1-10k, or 10-100k. The higher ones in my opinion have too much competition.

Now remember, most CPA offers only accept US residents and a lot of pages are foreign, so use pagedata as INSPIRATION, not a way to copy ideas.

Now I'm not going to reveal the current niche I'm in, but I'll give a good example. I tend to go for current or even approaching trends rather than build on old ones since competition is smaller and there's a better chance to build a fanbase. For instance video games is a good niche for me as I am quite a gamer myself. In my opinion, it's pretty important to pick a niche you like or are at least somewhat interested in (unless you plan to solely promote CPA offers directly). Building a fanpage requires content and without some decent content people will just go be fans somewhere else.

Now there's a couple of reasons on why I chose video games (besides being a gamer).

1). There are a lot of CPA offers revolving around games.
2). Gamers are passionate about their interests and like to join fan pages.
3). Gamers socialize online a lot and well Facebook is a place to socialize.
4). There is long term gain for targeting gamers (Amazon products, affiliate marketing, etc).

So with a broad niche set up, I want to narrow my audience even further when using my ads. There are a couple of high profile games I can think of such as Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, GTA V, Guild Wars 2, and so on. If you want less competition you could target promising iOS games, independent games, etc.

Before I go on to my next step, let me explain what the bigger picture is. As the saying goes "not seeing the forest for the trees", it's easy to get bogged down in the details, and forget the overall goal.

For Facebook, the goal is to get ads that not only convert well, but also a low CPC rate (the magical 1 penny clicks).

What that means is, you have an add that only costs 1 penny for a user to click, which basically gives you the most bang for your buck. A dollar will get you 100 clicks for instance. And with a super targeted ad, I'd say 80% of those people will become fans of your fanpage, while a lot lower percentage will sign up for the CPA offer.

Now with that in mind, the goal is to find the correct place to target your ads. Now, I said, this is both a guide and a journal. So I'm going to pick a real example to target and will show you my progress. I already have one successful ad campaign running at the moment so wish me luck on the next one ^^.

Make ($1000/ week) Looking for someone with Amazon or eBay

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 06:40 PM PST

I have some products that I need to get rid off. I've been making new Amazon accounts but I would have to wait 14 days till it becomes useful to me. You can make $1,000 from this venture just this week and the next for a total of $2,000. We can do this on an eBay account but it has to have no limits. These items do sell quickly and you pretty much do nothing as I'm pretty much your dropshipper.

The Process:

1. I list the items on your Amazon or eBay. (we can use TeamViewer)
2. Amazon or eBay buyer pays for items.
3. I ship item with tracking number.
4. You send me my share.

Could Google solve a lot of problems by getting rid of page rank?

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 06:37 PM PST

As I was typing the thread title something else came to mind, which I'll finish with.

Do you think Google could solve a lot of problems if they got rid of page rank? There are a lot of PR home page services, blog commenting services, etc. How big of a dent would it make in all these black hat services if they removed PR? People sell forum links, blog commenting, home page links, blog posts, web2.0 services, etc, all related to PR.

And what came to mind when I was typing the title was, even if Google removes PR, some companies will develop their own ranking system (which a couple have already, always forget the URL of the big one), and I guess it would become the standard...
Maybe that's a good idea to do right now, start your own ranking system, that's fairly accurate, and if google ever does get rid of it, your system would be the go to system.

Hottest Gofaggy girl ever!

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 06:28 PM PST

Just got the usual barrage of Gofaggy spam in my email. Usually I would click SPAM (surprised yahoo doesn't detect it yet) but I see that they have finally got a truly hot Gofaggy girl! I also laughed at the name, if that is her real name, Ella Koon, yes, I wouldn't mind having a bit of her Koon if you know what I mean (i.e. her Koon in my face)

This girl is quite hot so she probably charged a lot of cash to be on their campaign, so Gofaggy probably had to step it up for this quarter in their domain-stealing business. Well, they might well steal your domains, but at least they have a nice looking Gofaggy girl :p

Beats that other patrick 'girl' who looked like she was bearing too much testosterone and possibly had a wang.

Admitting I (You) Screwed Up

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 06:02 PM PST

You know, it's not a bad thing to admit that you screwed up.

We all do it and I did it pretty recently... actually hosed a couple of good clients.

When you make a mistake, own it, tell the truth and fix it.

Then overcompensate for your error... if the client does not want compensation for your error or refuses it, go ahead and offer something different.

Don't get paid for something unless you provide the product/service that you offered and don't get paid if you did not supply the service/product in a timely manner.

Everyone makes mistakes but the guy that makes up for his mistakes is the one that will shine.

Business is not all about making money... business is really about making sure that you take proper care of your clients and if you mess up, own the mistake and make up for the mistake.

Good business people are good people and care about the well being of their clients.

Selling an unused site

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 05:41 PM PST

So, in an excited fervor last month I purchased "majorbrandname"+keyword.net. After realizing that I might get sued for trying to do anything with it, I am trying to unload it. It was registered via powweb.com.

Hey guys,

i got an idea.
If I have a text (not a link) and want to post to many thousands of popular forums (with ACTIVE users! - it would be perfect if these were also in one niche) , how would i accomplish that the easiest way?

Is xrumer okay for this need? How much do xrumer blasts cost?

AGAIN : It's not about link building. Just kinda tutorial.

I want real people to read the thread. I don't want the post to be deleted after a few minutes / hours. It should be posted on real forums, not spammy shit forums.

Any ideas?

For the past few years, I have tried many projects. These projects have failed due to not having enough capital, or people screwing me over just to do it. It has really been a traumatic experience to get something successful running, but over the past week I've managed to build a steady business.

My whole life's goal is to make my money on AUTOPILOT, as well as provide quality service to all of my customers. I will not disclose what I do, because I do not have a service thread yet on BHW, and I DO NOT want to break any rules.

Let's just say that I'm making $70-100 on COMPLETE autopilot, minus an hour or two of making sure everything is running straight. Constant changes are being made so I won't have to really provide any time towards this business, and I'm just so proud to finally have something work out.

If you're the same as me, and have had some troubling experiences in your life, all I can suggest to you is to invest invest invest, and keep working hard! There will be a payoff.

Cheers BHW, my black hat's off to you.

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 04:34 PM PST

Hey thanks for looking just wanted to ask, i have found a few keywords o am interested in getting to the top of they range between 400,000 and 1.4 mill search results on google, mostly yahoo answers and wiki answers top the results, with 1 or 2 being topped by sites which are only pr 1 and have like 3k backlinks.
I know i need to find out how many times these keywords are searched by actual users, but right now am i on the right lines so far in terms of finding a niche to get to the top of? If not then any advice on it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks again!!

Autopligg 6, Worth buying? Somebody got some experience?

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 04:16 PM PST

Hey buddies,
I need a program that would submit to Pligg sites(PHPDug,Scuttle,ScuttlePlus...)

I own Bookmarking Demon, but some are saying that it doesn't support these kinds of sites and I should buy Autopligg...

What do you think?

Would like to know if this is a good idea.

I have a domain name that doesn't relate to any specific subject. I was wondering whether or not you would considerate it a good idea to make a blog and have each post be a different subject, or a different niche. Logically does this make sense? I am just starting to dip my toes in the water so let me know! :itsme:

Also I do have the option of unlimited sub-domains

Anyone getting this error while creating gigs on Fiverr?

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 03:29 PM PST

I have been trying for the last half hour to create a gig on Fiverr and for every attempt I get the following error message:
Quote:

"It seems that you accidentally submitted the gig form twice. We recommend creating this gig again from scratch."
I never clicked on the submission button twice, and I didn't try posting a duplicate gig. I currently have 7 gigs and I think the limit on the amount of gigs is 20...

If anyone knows why this is, please reply on this thread. I'm not sure what Fiverr's support response times are like, which is why I posted on here first, but am going to send the same message to them now.

Thanks in advance!

[EDIT]: Can an admin please move this to the "Lounge" section? Forgot I was still in the BH section ...:o
