After many years on the interwebz I have seen many different things, mostly a couple of years ago I saw 2 websites, one had a software with an "Adsense content locker" (basicly, click the ads to run the software) and the other one had an admin who wrote in everyway he could "Please a couple of clicks in the ads". The fact is that these ppl both STILL don't get banned up to the date. I know it for their id's, so they are either the best cloakers in the world, or they are practicing witchcraft. Up to now I don't get it, some people cry here because they get banned from adsense at the 2nd or 3th month and they keep running after 2 years.

I'm not sure if it's common knowledge by now, but I've built a script to check sites for inactive Administrative Contact emails (whois) and register those domains so that one may take possession of the original domain (by requesting "forgotten password" from the registrar, which send to the new email on the domain you just registered). This vulnerability allows one to take full control of the site owner's registrar account.

Anyway, it's been running for a while now and so far it's gone through about 50,000 sites--of these, I'd say there are probably close to 40 that are vulnerable, ranging from PR3 - PR6.

I still have about 900,000 sites left to check, but assuming the same ratio holds true, I will probably have several hundred highly valuable, vulnerable domains in a list.

Unfortunately I don't have any blackhat projects I can use this for at the moment, but I wanted to feel out the response on the board and see if this is something people might be interested in.

If you are interested, I'd love to get a ballpark estimate of what you think content like this is worth--if it's worth it, I'll keep scraping the other 900,000 and sell the list when it's done!

[edit] More estimates are in, and it's looking like the total count will amount to 800 sites give or take a few. Of this, an average of 75% will be PR 3 or higher, many 4s and 5s as well though I don't have exact projections as there aren't enough to be statistically significant. I am thinking thinking holding an auction and selling a single copy of the master list (through escrow of course) based on gauged interest, so let me know if you would have use for this list.

I'm new at this SEO stuff and I figured I would give the blackhat ScrapeBox blast a try. I bought a 20k blast from somebody on Fiverr with almost 400 positive reviews, I figured hey why not! Before the blast I don't think I was even on Google, so to see my site pop up on the first page (even if it was the last result) for one of my keywords made me PUMPED! I hit first page within a few days of buying the blast. Wow, talk about $5 well spent, right? ...

Well, less than a week and a half later, I am back down toward the bottom and losing ranking every day - what gives? The guy sent me a text file with thousands of links to blogs where my keywords/anchor text+URL were posted but Alexa only shows 16 sites linking in, and Yahoo shows something like 65. Did buying the blast kill my chances of ranking well again? Or do I need to buy an actual quality one? Furthermore, why are none of the inbound links showing up on Alexa/Yahoo?

My website also has a lot of inbound links already from software indexing sites publishing the software and a link to my homepage but it doesn't seem like Alexa/Yahoo sees those either.

So I have a Facebook app with 1,000 users on it. It was recently limited so it won't post anymore. In order to re-instate it, I will have to get FB to appeal it. However my website is somewhat controversial. So I would like to avoid Facebook from seeing it.

My question is, I had 1,000 monthly users and now have like 60 monthly users. Can I still use the app to communicate with those 1,000 downloaders or is it worthless now? Should I just create a new app and run on that?

Anyone know of any good places or have a connection they would like to share?

Iam literly brained fucked by this. My company site ranks for high competition keyword 80k exact. On first page for a service. But it seems that I keep getting traffic only from my state. (I get only 10-30) visitors a day

I noticed that competitors are using 1800 numbers while I have 773 (Chicago area) I do not have my company address anywhere on the site. Could it be possible that I rank only in Chicago area do to my phone number?

The more I think about it the more sense it would make google could look at it be like hey he offers a service and has Chicago area number why not just show his ranking there.

My ranking is legit not google places or personalized google results.

I run a successful gpt website, and i feel im missing something.
I feel im working hard, and get the least %% in this whole chain.

i send leads to surveys sites, sweepstake sites, or any other form of sites that collect your information, while saying you can get a ipod as a price bla bla.

then, they not only collect your information, they are also signing you up for other offers on the way (coreg)

the way i understand is this:
let take a site like surveys.co.uk . they are not really a survey site, they are just a portal to collect your information to sell it.
THEY BUY LEADS from networks (non incent mainly) and media buying.
Lets say they pay 5$ for a person filling out the whole survey path .
then when he fill it, they make him signup for other stuff on the way (coreg), and sell this to another network immediately.
By doing the coreg, they make sure they are at least break even, or maybe profit (5$ and more commission from the other network).

Then lets say they did this over 10,000 quality leads.
as long as they break even or more, what they get is:
a list of 10,000 real people who they can then email stuff and make money of that list.
So really they are getting this list for free, right ?
Not only this, since they answer questions in the survey, they can sort the people by groups, so they know what offer to send them.

Do i get it right ?
Dose this how sites like surveys.co.uk make tons of money ?
(Or any other portal that collect data)

If so, i would surly would be interested to get into this business, and make these portals and leverage of the 'free' lists i get.

I think G is rolling out a PR update right now in case anyone cares.

I just checked about 10 sites of mine and all of them show PR now, all of them created within the last 3 months.

Surprising results too, a site with 0 backlinks according to Yahoo Site E. is a PR 2, was a 0 (new site).

And one site where I did high PR hand backlinks (blog, 2.0's etc) is a 0, about 3,100 links to it.

Since I noticed the change literally just now some of my other sites might still be in line for the update so I'll watch them.

If I use curl through a proxy to make the connection, is there any way google can tell what server is being used to make that connection through the proxy?
